0 stars if I could. Selection is okay at best and certainly not good enough to excuse the blatant racism of the boomer aged white man with the drop top bald spot working there. On January 12 around 6:50pm I visited for a total of 15 mins and he came up to me 3 seperate times while the store had several other customers. I let him know I was fine the first time but as I walked around he continued to follow me and watch me over a stand of vinyls. Goofy. Unless you're interested in being racially profiled in 2024 I strongly suggest taking your business elsewhere.

I've ben going into this place for a few years now when ever I need something for my kids or something for my own records. The staff here have always been super helpful and friendly and genuinely know the material they sell. You want to talk about the 1980's Supergirl movie? They know it. You want to talk about Pop Figures and anime? The know it. Overall a great customer experience each time without pressure.

Wow Its been years since I went into a Sunrise record store, Didn't know this one was this close to me. I could have spent hours here reliving my music past and I will be back, but my wife had finished her clothes shopping. What a tremendous selection of LP records tapes movies cds, etc and much more. I will be back. Located in the Pickering Town Centre.

Big store in Pickering Town Centre than STC ( Scarborough Town Centre ) !! More space to walk around.

Wow, there is still a place to buy vinyl and CDs in the mall! That fact alone gets them 5 stars, but the staff was very helpful and pleasant.

Great selection of music including variety of records. T-SHIRTS / Movie & Music swag available, and the clerk in store was personable. Located near The Bay in Pickering Town Center.

On December 19th at around 6 p.m. or thereabouts, I went into Sunrise Pickering, and picked up a CD (Linkin Park-Road to Revoultion) with a clearly marked white price tag of $12.99, along with another item. When I got to the register, the associate scanned it and I almost tapped my credit, but hesitated because the amount seemed incorrect. Upon requesting further information on the prices, the associate told me the Linkin Park CD was $17.99 and the price tag was irrelevant. When I further asked about the "error", she pointed towards a dumb sign in the store - something about price discrepancy and the register price is correct. Fair, however, I would have accepted that explanation had the item NOT have a clearly labelled price tag on it. Also, that particular item had been sitting on those shelves for months (I noticed it), so the employees had EVERY SINGLE opportunity to correct it, if it was in fact the wrong price. But instead, the woman chose to speech me off about policy and price discrepancies, when an item is clearly marked, labelled with a price tag placed on the item by THEM. As a customer of Sunrise for decades (as far back as when those yellow loyalty cards were in existence), I have to say this experience left a really bad taste in my mouth. I will have to explore other opportunities for buying my music going forward. P.S. Dave, please train your associates how to speak to customers - please and thanks!

It was the Pickering Town Centre location that I have a problem with, despite the employee behind the counter being calm and doing what they were allowed to do to assist.As a gift, I received ZS Justice League (bought here); the cardboard sleeve was worn and a little mangled; even though it appeared factory sealed (plastic covering in place that had to be cut off), the disc inside had a massive thumb or palm print on it - it was sold as brand new as well. Movie sleeves do not receive such wear from being picked up and put back, and discs do not have any form of finger/palm print on the underside of the disc from the factory. It was clearly returned and re-sold as new (without checking it properly) and the best I could receive is store credit. This is a new product and this an actual store, they should ensure better quality of product.

Bought some Christmas gifts. Lots on sale. Manager is great. He is incredibly helpful.

Very bad place. Went there and the there was almost no vinyls and all the vinyls were all bad no popular artist/bands they were all from artists that I’ve never heard of or ever seen. Horrible place, waste of time

Pretty cool how you can still find record and cd in an actual store. And people works there are usually friendly. Still standing and operating after the whole Covid. Glad to see record store still have it's market place and value

Wide selection of music records but they seem to be focusing more on novelty toys. Staff are really helpful and will go on music journeys with you.

They have a wide variety of Kpop albums and the staff there are knowledgeable and friendly. Will visit again.
