The care & communication was great AFTER I was taken back. The wait in the waiting room was far too long! My pain description to the girl checking me in turned out to be more serious when talking to the Nurse Practitioner and the Dr. I know they were very busy but Triage should improve. Too much control is placed on the girl checking people in. It appeared she was the one person deciding the order of patients being taken back to be seen. Once I was in the ER room, everyone was excellent!! Kettering Hospital is my preference!

The tech, nurse, and doctor(s) were nice and thorough. Dr. Corcillo was great and explained everything. Attending doc also came in as well (Dr. Corker). Probably went at a good time because the wait was not long at all. Was nervous since this was my first time at an ER as a patient but I am so glad I was able to find a solution to the issues I was facing.

Went to the Kettering ED yesterday afternoon for severe, sudden onset leg pain (probably nothing serious). I was seen promptly, and the team rapidly ordered the most important tests (to rule out something serious) and the results were almost instantaneously posted in My Chart. The PA and supervising MD were kind, compassionate and caring. Who could ask for anything more?

I came in with shortness of breath and chest tightness. I COULD NOT BREATHE! I waited in the ER waiting room for over 7 hours only to receive an ‘after visit summary’ of my visit when I hadn’t even been seen yet! I went to the desk and asked what that was about and was told that they had called my name twice for vitals with no answer so they took me out of the computer and said I had left. I had already had my vitals taken! No one called my name other than for the 3 tests/procedures they did. I was sitting in the same seat right near the desk for the entire 7 hours! I had an EKG, chest X-ray and labs all done while waiting. They put me back into the system and when I FINALLY got back to a room, they wanted to run all the tests again. I had to explain again that I’d already had them done. I was told again that I had left them came back so they had to repeat everything. I once again had to explain that I NEVER left. I was told that I may get charged for 2 ER visits!!?? Worst experience I have EVER had in the ER!! ALSO…. They were drawing people’s blood IN THE WAITING ROOM! In front of everyone else!! How is that sanitary! And what happened to privacy and HIPAA!! HORRIBLE!

I recently had an experience at the emergency room, and I was thoroughly impressed by the level of care I received. The physician assistant, nurses, and doctor were not only exceptionally kind but also highly knowledgeable. They ensured I felt comfortable and supported throughout my visit. The wait time was quite reasonable, which was a relief during a stressful time. What stood out the most was the remarkable kindness of everyone who attended to me that day. Their professionalism and empathy made a challenging situation much more manageable. I am grateful for their excellent care.

I recently had brain surgery at Kettering Hospital. That experience as far as brain surgery goes was amazing. I felt very well taken care of. I felt listened to. I felt like I mattered. Two days after coming home from the hospital I was having excruciating pain in my back, which was making it difficult to focus on my brain surgery recovery. We called the squad and they brought me (paramedics and squad Members were amazing) The emergency room was an absolute joke. They never took any images the asked very little questions. Just gave me a bunch of drugs and wanted to send me out of there. I worked too hard getting through my brain surgery to take things at a chance, but it didn’t seem to matter to them- the emergency room lead physician just wanted us gone. Such a contrast between the caring skilled care we received in the Nuero department in the ICU and the joke of the emergency department.

For an ER visit for a potential miscarriage, this was the best experience I could imagine. The whole staff was great, but someone needs to give Angie in radiology a raise. The empathy and care she extended to myself and my husband was more than I could ever ask for. She truly went above and beyond for us and I am forever grateful.

Every one greeted us with a smile and introduced theirself, even though they were super busy due to high patient influx. A highly skilled team from each testing section followed after my nurse came in first to get me ready. Warm blankets are always welcome. The Doctor introduced himself and assured my Son and I that they would find the reasons for my symptoms. And they did several hours later. All the staff of the ER is to be commended for all their hard work and interaction under the conditions of an overfull ER on an extremely busy day.

Very positive experience. The emergency room wasn't busy that night so everything moved along very quickly. Ashley Creighton was my doctor and was excellent. She spent time with me asking everything that was going on. She was thorough and ran many tests to rule out all the serious concerns. Although we didn't figure out why I had the pain, they ruled out heart attack which is good news. Thanks to Dr. Creighton. Also, our nurse, Karyme ( not sure if I spelled it right) was so sweet and took care of everything well. She was so pleasant. Very positive experience.Thank you.
