If nothing else at all, stop here for the avocado tacos. They were amazing. Add on the cheesy toast and it's a nice lunch for two. Coffee is good, but the food is amazing. The atmosphere it's very friendly and it's close to the beach as well. Great stop by location.

One of the best coffee shops I've been to in California. We came here 4 times in less than 3 days it was so good. The staff are super friendly and chill and the place has such good vibes. The coffee is excellent especially the iced latte and priced very reasonably. The food is also amazing and hits the spot, great for breakfast or lunch. They also had cheap beer which is a bonus.

I was incredibly impressed as the food, service, and atmosphere were absolutely superb. I was in town to look at merch at Atacama Surf Shop and stopped at the Cup for a bite and wrap. Their selection for as minimalistic as they are was fantastic. The gentleman behind the bar was the only one on staff and handled everyone and everything. It was quite the spectacle to observe. Their ingredients are high quality and had a nice communicative selection. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

Fast, basic, friendly, affordable! Glad to support a small local place. Good for a quick breakfast sandwich to go or eat in. Outside tables could use a quick wipe down. Can see the ocean from outside.

Discovered this place after getting my car repaired at Firestone. Walked down the road a bit and got to the Cup. Decent latte. Made very quickly. Has some baked goods on display and I’ll be back to try one of the sandwiches that has posted on the wall. Outside seating faces the street and train crossing. You can actually see the ocean from the outside seating which is really neat. Seems like this morning spot for locals around there. Will be back for sure

Holy Cow. This place makes a REALLY good iced latte. And if you wanna catch a beer on tap this would work great. Great small, local, friendly, open, easy to find, fun, and cool place to stop to get a drink. Bravo 👏

The standard coffee is awesome and the Breakfast Sammy is one of the best I’ve had! I visited here each day of my trip and enjoyed my coffee on the beach. I’d move to this neighborhood just to get to come here regularly. Definitely a locals spot.

Small spot with a great vibe. They have good food and drinks. The services is always very fast and the staff is super friendly. I really like the breakfast sandwich on toast. The chai tea is really good here

My family and I love getting our morning coffee here along with a breakfast sandwich. Food is always delicious. Also love the drip coffee for a $1 if you bring you own cup! Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

You're either with us or against us. F communal coffee that place is raising the rent, long live the cup. Kinda anti sem but I'll let it slide because they let kids drink alcohol here. I thought this place was gross but then I ate their food and I didn't get sick. Probably won't come back.

Best breakfast bagels! We had the one with eggs, cheese and u had ur pick of protein so we had sausage. The sausage was cooked perfectly (not overdone and dry) and the bagels are SO fresh! We also had the one with pesto cream cheese, avocado and bacon. If I was to come back I’d order the one with the eggs but choose bacon. Their bacon was delicious! Their coffee was pretty good. We had lattes. We don’t like sweet however these needed a bit more sweet. Coffee tasted a bit bitter (thus the 4 stars).

Five stars hands down. Are you feeding a family? Don't want to cook this morning but want home made experience? Not sure where to go this morning for breakfast and coffee? Problem solved. Check out the Cup of coffee! You will 💕 love it. BTW-- < BLT and cappuccino are mind blowing. We enjoyed great fresh food, very budget friendly options, amazing selection of vegan and plant based options for any taste. Fast and kind staff. Love the place. Chilled beer, hot coffee, and quick, friendly service. Walking distance from the beach with front patio seating available. I didn’t bring my actual purse or wallet to the beach, so it was wonderful that they excepted Google Apple Pay with my cell phone.

Update: clearly a fan of this place considering my previous review and I’ve had plenty of great experiences here. However when I went recently I ate out back and there was a woman working here with a huge attitude chucking boxes around. And was overall just pretty rude. That in itself is dismissible but the boxes sat there for over an hour and were filled with produce, bacon, and cream cheese. It’s July and the food sat out long enough that the boxes were sagging on the bottom. I really liked it here but this was a huge turn off. Perfect location, the staff is incredibly friendly, and this is the best breakfast sandwich I’ve had in the area. You can also order online ahead of time to beat the long waits on the weekend.

Cool spot for good coffee a block from the water. A popular place for parents to come to have a drink/food when they drop their kid(s) off at Cadence Dance Studio for class just up the street. Very friendly owners, good beer, food, and coffee. Nice local spot.

Awesome place, every time. Great beer options and the food is high-quality. For example, the Birdie sandwich is legit Thanksgiving-level real turkey with all the goods. Delicious. We'll definitely be back again!

Crazy good breakfast, crazy nice staff and great prices for what you get. My favorite breakfast place on our roadtrip from San Francisco to Phoenix!
