Beautiful little park with 2 parking lots . I assume that on a sunny day they fill up quickly, but if you are like me and go places when it's raining or later in the day- it's nice and quiet. I even got to see a baby deer 🦌 running around:)

I go "after hours" to avoid high parking fees, just chill sitting in my car with a gorgeous view of the river. On a hot day you get a nice breeze! Watch the boats and listen to the ducks quack!🦆

Nyack Beach State Park is easily accessible. The parking lot can get filled fast so I would suggest arriving early. Trail is gravel from start point to haverstraw is 5.5 miles . EasyPark but that all depends on your level of fitness the hills are not very long or steep.

We spend a couple of hours today walking the path along the river. It was so relaxing! First of all we used our Empire pass to enter, so we didn’t have to pay $10 entry fee. The parking at the trail head is really convenient. We got there around 11am and it was getting a bit hot. There were families with little children, dog owners, and also bicyclists, but everyone was really respectful of each other. We walked over to Rockland Lake State Park Playground (pass the fire station and turn right after a stop sign, walk for about 4 minutes and you will be at the entrance) where we had lunch and then walked back. Btw Rockland State Park Playground has bathrooms and vending machines if you forgot your water bottle in the car. That walk was about 15,000 steps and the best part was that our cat Nori just loved walking along the river. A word of advice: don’t forget to bring your water bottle!

Nice and easy walk. Burn all the calories but not your feet. Of course you can always hike up the cliffs for a stronger cardio and breathtaking views!

Great park and closest views of Hudson River. A small beach! Great hiking trails. But the views of the Mario Cuomo Bridge and the river is amazing.

Beautiful hiking trails along the Hudson River! We saw hawks, chipmunks, turkeys, deer, turtles, geese and swans. So nice to be so close to both the city and this lovely state park.

Beautiful park, great for long walks or run. Bathrooms and office isn't open until April. Great, quiet view by the water. Very clean!

It's a very small park but quite private with a beautiful view of the Hudson. It also has a great gravel path that runs along the Hudson for several miles. You can't bring your own grills, but they do provide several charcoal grills for public use. Keep in mind that they do seem to have a rather strict carry in carry out policy that most patrons seem to follow.

There are bathroom stalls available at the N Broadway parking lot! (Another review said there aren’t any which was misleading for me.) I think you have to pay for parking on weekends but I went on a weekday morning and it was free. Very nice scenic area to hang out even if you’re not hiking. We did the Hook Mountain & Nyack Beach trail from AllTrails clockwise which was the perfect length and difficulty for an enjoyable day hike. The elevation was not bad at all and most of the trail is shaded until you reach summit. Stopped for lunch and 360 views at the top. Since it was a weekday, we didn’t see many people during the hike other than a huge group of dogs from @Takeahikewithdogs so that was pretty amazing. Since we went clockwise (teal markers then white), it ended with a nice flat leisurely walk by the water.

Beautiful shores with a long path to bike/walk. Check out the hook summit for the bird eye view of Hudson and New York/NJ

It was great I didn’t know that you have to pay for parking No big deal except that the card reader wasn’t working and I didn’t have cash I just went to the bank and went in. It is very well maintained. No garbage, the bathrooms were clean. We had a great hike

Great place for hiking and especially fishing. If you’re looking for a nice place to bring the family and have a picnic or just relax, this is the place the go. Although you may have to pay $8 per parking depending on the day you go, it is definitely worth the money.

love this areaa. went apple picking and then did a hike. the hike was a bit long but had great views and we got a good workout in. there is a river trail that is well-paved, wheelchair friendly and ppl were grilling+fishing along the side. but theres also an up+down hike thru the trees for a great view of the hudson+nyack bridge

Extremely serine and such gorgeous views. The sound of the water transports your spirit and makes it easy to let go of hectic day-to-day thoughts. The shoreline trail is an easy walk and the breeze off the water with gentle cresting waves right beside you makes it a must do imo. You get a chance to see nature from a different perspective. It's not every day you see the remnants of a tree resemble a pig from just the right angle!! At least that's what I see. What do you think? Will definitely go back.

Beautiful park with outstanding walking path along the Hudson River and at the foot of the Palisades cliffs. Several places to sit and rest, with picnic tables along the way. Distance of your progress is posted every quarter mile so you can monitor your progress, goals, and timing. Dog litter bags and trashcans for same are provided. Trails are smooth, and good for walking or biking, and baby carriage friendly. Some side trails exist for hiking and climbing. The river and cliff views are spectacular.

Beautiful view and very relaxing! I would give it 5 stars, but the restroom doesn't have any lights! It's pretty scary once dark and impossible to use because it's pitch black.

Great park with beautiful trail along the Hudson River. Cost 8$ per car. A great view of the Gov Mario M. Cuomo Bridge. We walked about 1.5 miles / 2.4 km and then we turned left to the Rockland Lake State Park. We are glad we did it as the park and lake were very beautiful and they diversified the route completely. The walk from the trail to Rockland is about 1.3 miles / 2.08 km. All distances are for 1 way. Nyack park is friendly for dogs but please note that Rockland park says that no pets allowed.

Great place to walk and sit quietly by the river watching Hudson River. Here you can feel the inner peace and the beauty of nature.

OK. Here we go from Nyack Beach State Park.( 97 degrees, today 5 miles down river at Piermont, according to AccuWeather) on the bike path right along the Mighty Hudson River past Hook Mountain, up the Palisades, down and around Rockland Lake, back up and over and back down to the river and back to Nyack Beach. Phew!

Enjoyable spot for biking or walking. I've done many bike trails, but this one is great because you have continuous wonderful views of the Hudson and Hook Mountain. Only fee is for parking. I think I paid $8 for an out of state license plate. Would love to visit again in the fall.
