Love it, able to join a volleyball team at low cost. My daughter didn't get on the team at school, so without missing a beat is on a team at The Y

Have been going an average of six days per week. Absolutely love it. I walk every day on the track in comfort. Keeps me out of the cold. Also do a few hoops now and then.

Great facility! Always neat and clean. Every staff member I've come in contact with has been friendly and helpful. I haven't spent much time in the main gym so I cannot comment on that but the group classes have been amazing. Instructors are always very motivating. I think the thing I appreciate most is when the instructor watches your form while exercising because I'm there to get healthier, not injured! To anyone thinking about trying a group class, I encourage you to try it! I haven't found anyone yet that is there to look cute or impress others. Everyone I come in contact with is there to work hard. We leave hot, sweaty messes! For my first time trying classes, I got there a little early and introduced myself to the instructor and told her I was new. Each time she explained right off that I should do what I could and not to try to keep up with her or anyone else. The instructor or another class member always helped me get the needed equipment from the supply room so I didn't have to hunt around trying to figure things out. After just a few weeks, you start seeing familiar faces and feeling like part of a group. Just an all around great atmosphere.

I am a Nationwide member and I only use the pool. The pool area is clean and appears well maintained. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The lockers are not convenient for me. The single ones are too tall for me and the stacked ones aren't large enough for my bag and clothes. But the showers and locker area are very clean. I am grateful for this pool away from home.

This is a great facility, clean and in good condition. The staff members are friendly and helpful and the instructors are excellent. There are quite a few group exercise classes available of varying difficulty so something for everyone. I particularly like the yoga classes because the instructors are outstanding.

The Y offers many different opportunities to make fitness FUN! The times when classes are offered are good and the ability to join a class when it works for you without a commitment is great. The people are friendly and always there to answer a question or help. The pool and aquatic center are clean, well-kept and open for free swim most of the time. Our Y is a very welcoming, comfortable place.

Tara Brewer you are awesome. Love your Circuit Class and can't wait to get back. You keep it interesting and keep us all motivated. Class is tailored to all in attendance and you keep us safe. Don't know where your enthusiasm comes from but keep up the good work!!!

The Monroe County YMCA is a terrific place! I really enjoyed the exercise classes.There is something for everyone from Aerobics to Zumba. They are a great way to work out in a group setting. The instructors are motivating and they help everyone to individualize their workout to be challenging but fun, too! Everyone is welcoming, from the staff who greet you at the front desk to the maintenance workers. It's a wonderful place to meet your friends and to make new friends. Everyone should join the Y!

I really enjoy the group classes the YMCA has to offer. Keeps me motivated and helps me push myself to do better.

I have been a member of the local YMCA since it opened and have never been disappointed. We've had birthday parties there as my daughter grew up and swim team practice. I enjoy going to the gym as there are so many different aerobic machines to choose from. Watching TV while working out is a nice distraction.

I really enjoy this Y community. Sharon is always smiling and saying hello as you walk in the door! Workout room is clean and cool! My workouts have become a part of my social activities too! I always look forward to meeting up with my workout buddies! Highly recommend!

Pound 4 pound is great to go to because they are always updating their equipment and the space is very clean. I love how we can go in anytime and don’t have to wait for operating hours. They are friendly, too!

Great family atmosphere. Plenty of opportunities for everyone to workout. Many different types of workout sessions available. If you are looking for personal training David and his team are great.

I connected with Pixie from the regional sales for a preview membership she was most helpful and timely. But the real star is Carol who is at the desk greeting and multi tasking thru her morning. She takes the time to say good morning and connect with members on the way out the door, all while be asked by fellow employees for some assistance. The membership team should have a “Carol” for you can sell all day, but if the frontline staff does not deliver it goes nowhere. Carol is your number one sales person on the floor.

My whole family loves the Y! My kids beg to go every day after school so they can play while we work out. Great staff, always friendly and welcoming! We have also enjoyed their family events.

They are great at Columbia YMCA. They helped me get my granddaughter signed up for volleyball. Also to help me with workouts after physical therapy.

Such kind staff and so accommodating to every member's situation. The kids programs that they have are AMAZING. Shout out to Lynsey Wehrenberg, their youth director for her compassion and communication skills.

Best Y I've ever seen. Clean. Convenient floor plan makes it easy to access the pool even with mobility issues. Great programs, great staff. Kudos to the life guards - friendly while always on their game.

Love the variety of classes. Especially the yoga ones. You learn a little something different with each instructor due to their having their own style/experience.

Staff is welcoming. Motivating instructors. Good variety of equipment and classes. Family friendly. We love the free childcare that is included with our membership.

I swim and that's all I can critique. Pool area is nice. The shower curtains tend to be a bit icky with moldy looking areas on the creases.

Wonderful place to meet friends - old and new - and get fit. I love the pool (my main reason for joining) but the complimentary session with my wonderful fitness coach, Marla, has me on the gym on a regular basis. She is so encouraging and positive... I can do this!

Very clean pool with lap lanes available at most times.

Participated in the Trunk or Treat the Y put on October 21, 2019. They went above and beyond to provide the families with a wonderful evening

This ymca has so much to offer and the kids area is more than I expected! I can feel at ease that my kids are actually having fun while I torture myself with the best trainers! I haven’t even been here a month working out twice a week and I already can see results because of how hard they push me and I just have to show up! So glad I signed up

I love the Y! I love the staff and the facility and the hours of operation and the equipment. I only wish we would discontinue to use of the styrofoam cups for coffee. People can bring their own cups. Styrofoam has no place in a landfill for one stinking cup of coffee. Thanks to the Y for everything else! You've been the instrumental part of my mental health for years!

We LOVE the Monroe County YMCA! The staff is friendly, personable, & welcoming...many of them go out of their way to say hello and high five my kids at each visit. There is a great variety of equipment, classes, and times to target different people's workout preferences and needs and I appreciate it always being clean and well organized. One of the best monthly investments we make for our family!
