This was my first visit since the pandemic attacked us and I was a bit apprehensive. Also, I was meeting a new doctor (Dr. Wiedower) and wondered how that would go. I was pleasantly surprised at how well we interacted and that I trusted him so early in the game. And kudos to your blood drawers as they are the best I have encountered! I felt that I had a good, positive visit!

I have always had good experiences. My most recent visit was for labs, doctor visit and infusion. Staff very professional from front desk to lab and treatment room. Dr Wiedower is very professional and genuinely shows concern for his patients. He is easy to converse with and he doesn’t mind answering patient questions. Even though the clinic was very busy on my last visit my wait time was reasonable.

My son, Joshua, is being treated at the West Clinic in Southaven. He has cancer and Autism, which isn’t the best combination. Dr. Wiedower and the staff have been so accommodating to my son and his needs. They treat him very respectfully and come up with solutions to meet his needs. We feel so fortunate to have such a dedicated and caring team to help get him through this trying time.

Thank you note I want to thank My Lord and my savior,Jesus Christ firstly for blessing me with access to the best west clinic location @ Desoto. I thank God for giving me complete healing,a second chance to live and using my doctors n all the Desoto west clinic team to be the channel of my healing too! I am especially so grateful for all the Desoto west Clinic staff, beginning from the entrance, the security to the front desk staff, chaplain,to the wings volunteers,to the phlebotomists n the pharmacists up until the nurses! I experienced cordial welcoming consistently for 6 months right from the entrance till I left the campus that significantly helped me ease into anxiety free environment. The security Officer Chester & Officer Curtis n others had a great attitude n was vigilant offering safety within the parking lot. The front desk staff,Margee,Carolyn,Taneisha n others have been so friendly n polite. Their check in and check out process were so smooth n fast! The wings Director,Timothy and the volunteers namely Sandy,Rebecca,Elsa,Sam,Jeanne,Anita,Suzanne n others have been so readily available to serve, uplift my spirits, patiently listen to me and walked alongside towards my path to victory! The Chaplain of west Clinic,Makeba has nurtured my outlook n my spiritual well being and deepened my life’s meaning n perspective. She has made herself so much available to listen to me,identify prayer requests in my conversations and introduced me to support group. She is truly a rare passionate chaplain working cheerfully especially with people going through difficult time of life and professionally displays love with a undisturbed composure.I believe she is a great asset to oncology. The Phlebotomists:Trineeka,Bettye,Ashley,Shawn and others patiently calmed my needle anxiousness and accessed my port site with sterile techniques accurately promoting an infection free port site. I am so grateful for my nurses:Glenda,Debra,Lindsey,Carol,Glen,Brandy,Penny,Rebecca n others including Emily NP for their patience n kindness who educated n provided understanding thro’out the treatment process. They speedily coordinated with my oncologist and administered my infusion on time and immediately responded to the pump’s alarm. They displayed sensitivity n compassion thro’out my journey. I would like to extend my gratitude to the Pharmacist n her techs for their precise accuracy in compounding the arsenic trioxide and delivering on time for infusion with no delays. I want to extend my sincere gratitude to the Desoto West clinic administration,Housekeeping, maintenance and everybody including the non medical staff working behind the scenes who contributed to the success of my healing! Of course I once again would like to acknowledge my oncologist Dr Chandler who has been the best oncologist I could ever ask for! He has been very professional at the same time personable and empathizes with us. He had demonstrated excellent clinical expertise n vitally prescribed n implemented my whole treatment plan with a great outcome! I would like to mention my gratitude to Dr Wiedower,Dr Battini & Dr Farmer whose support has been vital thro my treatment process too! My husband,3 children,parents,siblings,in-loves,church family and friends extend their heartfelt gratitude to God in using the West Clinic to deliver successful quality of care for their wife, mother, daughter, sister, daughter in love, friend and occupational therapist. As you all have been such a blessing to my complete healing and recovery, the only way I can return my sincere and deepest gratitude is offering my earnest prayer to see my desire for West Clinic to be renowned in the nation and the world for their cutting edge delivery of medical services specifically hematology. I stand in awe n will forever sing praises n glorify My Lord n savior Jesus for giving me grace n strength to complete 110 infusions and preparing me to ring my Liberty 🗽Victory Bell 🔔. Wishing you all the very best & God bless!! Nisha Paul #An exquisite imperfect masterpiece of God#

Lab, CT scan, seeing Dr.Eric Wiedower, and Opdivo infusion. I have a port in my rt chest. They accessed the port with absolutely no pain. They took the vials of blood they needed for my dr.'s requested bloodwork. I went back to the lobby. The CT tech came to me verified who I was and gave me the water we all love to drink for the CT to see the tumor. It took longer for me to get on the table and lay down than for the scan. Dr. Wiedower is excellant! He is very caring, sensitive to my needs as a patient. He also takes time for any questions I have about my care. He explains things to my understanding. This time the cancer had not grown or moved to another area. That to me is a win! The Opdivo infusion took 30 min. the nurses in the infusion room are exceptional! As are all the staff at the Desoto area West Clinic.

This is my 1st time at this clinic, and I'm amazed by the level of customer service. I absolutely love the front desk person, Marge. She has that deep Southern hospitality thaty makes you feel at ease. I watched her take paperwork to a patient that was too weak to get out of her seat. She called the patients by their 1st name and she always smiled. The staff in the back were great as well. This was truly a great experience.

I have been going there several years they are ALL wonderful staff, you couldn't ask for better care, their concern for the patients is very comforting especially when your not sure what to expect on your 1st visit. Everyone from the front desk to the Wings people are also included, everyone in that building is wonderful. đź’š

Wait time is RIDICULOUS! Appt at 1030 but had to be here at 10. Saw the doctor at 1:30....BUT....Dr Smiley was worth the wait!!! She really cares about her patients and takes time with each one of them. Waiting is frustrating.....but she is definitely worth it!

Since Methodist bought out West Clinic it’s not about a patients care. It has become a scam for you money and now fits right in with most of the rest of the Health Care System. My husband goes twice a year and has his blood pressure taken which is always perfect. Yet because of Methodist policy he must go to another doctor to have his blood pressure monitored. Who like myself would simply take my blood pressure and renew my prescription. Could understand sending him to a Primary Care doctor if he had a change in his blood pressure. By the way, Primary Care doctors don’t want to take on new Medicare patients unless of course they’re owned by Methodist.

I am so unhappy with WCC! My reasoning for coming there was severe anemia that I had to get an iron infusion. I went there to get my iron and had to have 11 tubes of blood taken. THEY LOST THEM! They told me right then that they lost them and of course I was upset but rescheduled to get them drawn again. On the 1st of August I went back to get them drawn. They sat me down and didn’t even ask my name once I told them they almost drew the WRONG blood, ended up having to get 10 more taken and then after a few weeks without hearing back I finally call. Guess what THEY LOST MY BLOOD AGAIN!! To be anemic and the place who’s suppose to help you just continuously pulling blood from you is so annoying. This is the worst location and the manager even got called over that day to make sure everything was good. So disappointed!

Avoid WCC on all levels. I waited patiently in the waiting room for over 2 hours. Front employees are more consumed in eating cake than taking care of patients. I approached receptionist to explain that I called my pcp to get another referral to another clinic - she didn’t care. As I left I called the Germantown office to speak to the office manager to comprehend if this was normal business practices for WCC. SHE wouldn’t even come to the phone. In fact , that receptionist said he couldn’t get ANYONE to accept my call. WEST CARE CLINIC NEEDS A NEW CEO. As a member of our local healthcare system, I’m Not recommending anyone to go there. At this point, I’d rather die than to sit thru that unmanageable cluster of what they call a clinic. AVOID !!
