It shouldn’t be called an ER when you’re left out there in pain for over 9 HOURS without being treated. Ridiculous, no proper communication and rude staff. Very unprofessional. Majority of patients just left for home or other hospitals including myself. No one is doing anything regarding this many horrible experiences.

I have been an ER Nurse in my 30 year career and I would seriously caution anyone going to this Emergency Room. NEVER go here unless absolutely no choice and in a squad ambulance! 15 hours in ER - first 3 hours sat in waiting room with patients vomiting, abdominal pain as well as myself with nausea and abdominal paun and fever. No one monitoring vital signs or checking on patients. After 3 hours bloodwork and sent back out to waiting room. for another 3 hours! Then called and an IV line put in - no IV, bit a line and sent back to waiting room! 4 hours later sent for a CT scan! No IV and I'm dehydrated so couldn't do dye contrast. Finally 10 hours later taken to an exam room - the entire back of ER had many, many empty rooms that very sick people could have been more comfortably waiting. They finally gave me 1 liter if fluids and Zofran. Anothr 34 hours waiting for someone to read CT scan. Sent me out 15 hours later with no Rx and I was still dehydrated, nauseas and otger symptoms. Ended up in Penn Presbyterian following day! A REAL HOSPITAL! Jefferson Torresdale is a dismal shadow of its past with bare bones staff and awful practices for an Emergency Room. They should be cited!

THE WORST ER EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE! Don't believe the scattered fake positive reviews written by their friends. I first saw the very low rating online and thought, "We have a very serious problem, nah - that can't POSSIBLY affect us". How wrong I was!!! They were VERY quick in grabbing insurance information, they seemed to be in a rush to secure that sweet $$$ minutes after we walked in the door, but once that was done, WE WERE ON OUR OWN! Literally! There were people around us in serious pain and discomfort, one guy looked like he dislodged the bone in his shoulder and was in obvious agony... he had no shirt. No one paid any attention to him for hours in that waiting room (which was FREEZING, by the way)! I felt bad for him. Another guy was on the precipice of vomiting and could barely move. No one cares! Hell knows what the others were experiencing. Perhaps shooting blood on the nurses would expedite entry? I really don't know. After 4 hours of tortured waiting and having no idea what was going on, I approached the front desk and asked very politely how long we may need to wait to get results of a simple X-Ray. The lady at the front desk seemed irritated that I ask any question and said she wouldn't know, she doesn't work in the X-Ray department! No apology, nothing! Basically: "get back in your seat and continue waiting forever!" Here is an idea - if you have NO STAFF, put a sign on the front door: HOSPITAL CLOSED, STAFF UNAVAILABLE. Or if your one doctor is out playing golf, announce it over the loudspeaker. Respect peoples time and health. Also: let's see how SLOW and CARELESS you operate if you only get paid AFTER you service your "patients", like in a restaurant. THIS PLACE SHOULD BE PERMANENTLY CLOSED AND/OR ALL MANAGEMENT FIRED - IMMEDIATELY!

DO NOT GO HERE! ER is absolutely the worst, people had to wait for what the nurse called “double digit” hours, one even told me people have waited 24 hours to be seen in their emergency room. I had profuse vomiting, they put an IV in my hand (no fluids as I was extremely dehydrated.) and gave me zofran in the IV which didn’t work and set me for 9 hours as I vomited in the lobby with a fall risk bracelet on as I had to keep running to the bathroom to vomit, so tell me what sense that makes? Didn’t want to give me a doctor’s note as I left without seeing a DOCTOR, after 9 hours! Who’s fault is that!?? Others were also there over 11 hours. Save your life, don’t go here.

Definitely the worst experience i have ever had going to the ER. 10+ hour wait times, people in the waiting room with open wounds, covered in blood, babies with their face ripped up, waiting HOURS TO BE EVEN SEEN! the entire department needs to be shut down, there is no such thing as an emergency in that place. I know it is probably no ones fault but in that case you need to shut down the ER in general.

The worst ER I ever been, after 6 hour's waiting, freezing in the waiting room decided to leave before caching an ammonia, it’s a shame that place like this exists. This is not ER this TR torture room. The only think I know will receive a bill, good luck getting paid.

This is the worst hospital in the country sat here for 14 hours with my wife having chest pains the place was full of people that have been sitting here for longer than us they keep telling people that they don’t have beds available because of trauma coming in. One individual (older woman) was here so long that the only reason she was seen was because she became unresponsive in the back of the emergency room when another patient noticed the woman unresponsive. If they put the phones down and monitor the people that need medical assistance I believe in my opinion that she would have been ok. My wife my son and I are traumatized by the events that we witnessed tonight at this hospital.

Went in by 12p and was not seen till I left by 9.30p. No human feelings and not a good place to go. Find emergency treatment somewhere else, if you don't want to regret it, because I do and even charge me for this waiting in the lobby, saying because my pulse was check while waiting and I never receive treatment

Horrible service! I was semt to the ER from the Urgent care and waited three hours on the waiting area before I left. There were people waiting 7 plus hours to be seen, it is ridiculous. When I asked the nurse at the front desk, she was rude and stated that you had to be seen by a doctor and they were busy with other patients at yhe moment. The worst part is that they billed my insurance and bow I have to pay $200 for entering and waiting 3 hoirs and not being seen by a doctor. Worse experience in a hospital I have ever had.

My husband came in for palpations. He got an xray and blood work and then had to sit for hours after. No one come out from the reception desk to even check on the patients. Some people have been here all day. We got here at 8pm and are still here at 11:27pm. This is the worst ER in the northeast. They need new management and a caring staff. I will never come here again!

Baddest emergency room I ever see in the worst. They might be not getting paid for what they doing that's why they don't care about patients 🤷. I been setting from 4pm to 12pm without seeing and I left. they select the people they want. Shame on them. Very unprofessional service

Avoid at all costs! I spent 10 hours waiting to see a doctor; staff rude at times and kept telling people to wait perhaps in the hope that you'd leave and go home. Patients leaving told me there were empty rooms!!

You could be dying on the floor at jefferson torresdale and they wouldn't help you. Hands down worst er I have ever been to. Also if you hate your job so much maybe consider a new job. The ladies at the er front desk are seriously just rude. Anytime someone had a question it was like you were bothering them. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else

Just left a review. Now nurses are coming out in the waiting room taking people's vital signs because folks have waited so long. Look at the other reviews. A rating of 1.5 out of 109 reviews. After 7 hours we left. Nurse apologized, but seemed apathetic. He was taking hell from several patients before we left. Not his fault. The managers who created this situation should have to sit in the waiting room for 7 hours or more. The doctor from the surgical group never showed or called. Another wasted day in the ER without relief. Once this post surgical issue is resolved, my wife and I will never go to this ER again.

Unless you are on the precipice of death, this ER is broken and should hang an “Out of Order” sign on the walk-in doors. I blame the administration, not the dedicated staff. There should be two tracks. One for life and death situations and one for emergency services. The way it is currently, those waiting for ER services never reach the head of the line as the ambulances keep coming and bumping them out of line.

I keep going here knowing 60 township line road in elkins park pa has good reviews. 10 hours i have waited to get blood work for a serious condition. Metallic taste in my mouth and extreme nausea and stomach pains after taking a covid19 medication. Possible liver or kidney damage from the medication which is a known risk of the medication but they continue to live in a fantasy that viral organs are not a clear emergency. Give your money to a different hospital, i know i will.just mad i came here in the first place, now i need to wait for even blood work. Still waiting 9.5 hours, i remember last time they wrote me immediately after i posted my older review, i think they read these reviews and are bias and dont see the people who post these reviews when posted in a negative light. Also their patients are playing LOUD MUSIC in the end of the emergency room so we cant hear if were being called and we need to go to the front and ask if we were calked yet. DIRTY WET FLOORS, I NEEDED TO WIPE DOWN MY SEAT. MAYBE YOU WILL CATCH DISEASES FROM OTHER PATIENTS. NO STAFF CLEAN UP.
