Update: The food is still great, the breakfast and coffee has gotten better and the place got a face lift and looks phenomenal. The service can use help, but it is still worth the food. The donuts are only on Hanukah. Some the best bagels I've eaten. Walking in to the place you wouldn't think that this place has amazing stuff, but they have the freshest and tastiest bagels and donuts. When I got in to the shop I was so confused where to go, it totally threw me off. There are two counters and you don't know which is for what. The place is old and in need of a new coat of paint. After you order, they have table service and bring you your food. The breakfast and coffee where not good. One taste was all we had. The bagel was one of a kind and redeemed the place. Not to mention, the donut was the softest and sweetest donut I had in a long time. Go for the baked goods!

The ordering process is confusing. Which could be a user error, so I would give them a pass on that. But the food was bad. I had a piece of tinfoil and Styrofoam in my breakfast wrap. Showed it to the guy behind the counter seemed concerned, then did nothing. Ordered a combo with a drink, it did not come out. I had to ask for it again. Terrible experience and I hope they get better. The new owners are going to run this reputable establishment into the ground.

Was a great brunch place. A little noisy and a little crowded. But it's in keeping with it's style. The food was great.

I have tried over 150 bagels in famous bagel cities like New York and Montreal. Goldbergs is the second-best bagel I have ever had in my life. Perfect size, texture, density and crispy crust. A Baltimore gem!

Ordering from here was a frustrating experience. After placing my online order (just for a sandwich and latte), I had to stand in the online order line to check in. It took several minutes to find my order, and then I was directed to a window where the sandwich would be ready in another 5-10 minutes and my latte whenever I guess? 26 minutes after I put in my order I asked about the status of my drink and the barista couldn’t find my order. She ended up walking to another area of the store and found my drink. It was very disorganized and frustrating. Also the bagel was underbaked. I wanted to support a Jewish business but I won’t be going back here.

Food is superb. Staffing needs to pay attention and be friendlier. Person who took my order seemed annoyed to be there and had to ring up 2 orders as she didn’t care to see the rest of my order I put on the empty counter space at the register.

This place is widely acknowledged as producing the best bagels in Baltimore. The dough is high gluten, dense, and chewy. It has flavor. Lots of flavor. These are not the 'air bagels' that deflate when you bite them that other places serve. Beyond the bagels, they have a nice coffee bar, they serve lots of tasty food, everything is pareve.

I got the Greek omelette and the Bialys to go on a rainy Thursday morning. The hostess on the phone was polite and friendly. I showed up to pick up my food and the place is clean and there were friendly staff members at the front. Food was still hot and fresh, perfectly made, with fresh ingredients. First time eating here, definitely won’t be my last. Thanks!

Not good…bagels not cooked thoroughly, flat, deformed and smell like dough. When I called the baker, Rob, rudely told me it was impossible! Pictures speak louder than words-you just can’t the doughy smell from where you are

The new owners have done a great job with the place. Of course, the food is still great! Now, though, the tables are no longer covered in ads, but instead an elegant fake wood. The music adds a pleasant audio dimension to the eating experience. And, to top it off, the service is speedy and with a smile. Overall immaculate vibes, 10/10.

I was told that they were the best in the area and was disappointed. This was my Nova and Cream Cheese Sandwich. Make sure to check your order before you depart because the quality is poor.

Had a memorable experience this morning when picking up two dozen bagels for my office. The young man at the counter was exceptionally pleasant and upbeat, which isn't always easy at 7:30 in the morning. I've been to Goldberg's a number of times, but this morning was particularly memorable.

The food was excellent. Best bagels in the Baltimore area without question. I am giving a 3-star review here to balance the quality of the food with the quality of the service/decision making of the workers. I had a very poor experience with my order taking almost a full hour and the only reason I eventually received it was because I asked why it was taking so long. I entered the store and ordered via the kiosk. For Dine-In it asks you to first grab a number and I grabbed #36 and entered it (you then display this number at your table and they bring your order to you when it is ready). Then I entered my order and paid as well. At the end of the kiosk experience, I entered my email address and was emailed a receipt which I noticed later had #48 on it and not the #36 I entered at the beginning of my order and was displayed on my table outside where I was sitting and waiting for my order. Here is where the workers and decision makers at Goldberg's messed up this morning. Apparently they were out of two of the bagels that made up part of my order. They later told me they called out #48 (again my number was #36 as entered at the beginning of my kiosk order) and they told me they tried their best to find me (again, I was outside sitting at their tables among other customers as well). They never looked outside. So they just gave up! This is the part that is completely unacceptable. They told me they didn't make my order because they couldn't find me. I was there the entire time, but at the tables outside. Why would they have not tried to find me outside? They continued to deliver orders to other outside this entire time as well. Instead they decided to just not make my order instead of actually finding me. This is just mind boggling to me. Maybe the number mix up is the second part of the problem here. If that also played a part into the confusion then why does their kiosk assign a different order number WITHOUT ALSO putting the number that I entered at the beginning of the ordering process there. Big logistical issues is the summary here. They were busy as usual this morning (typical for a Sunday morning), but to not make an order and completely give up on finding the person is just terrible decision making. Try harder next time.

Born and raised in New Jersey where I grew up with the best bagels from the best Jewish bakeries around . Nothing even comes close in this state. That was until I found Goldberg’s. Definitely the place to go if you are originally from the NY/NJ area! If you know, you know.

Food is good but ever since the new ownership took over, they are unreliable for events. Goldbergs and their sister restaurant Mama Leahs have a very casual relationship with the clock. You are basically guaranteed to get your order for pickup or delivery at least 30 minutes late. Not only that but when you call or walk-in they'll say they're "finishing up" which is code speak for "we haven't actually done it yet." So I highly recommend if you do order from them to make sure to touch base before it's supposed to be ready then they may actually get it to you on time.

Absolutely the best bagels i’ve had south of NYC - Wonderful service. I’ve been coming here for years and will continue for years to come. I get an everything bagel toasted with cream cheese, cucumber, tomato and onion. A+

Been going there for years the new owners are bringing down the quality of the food and the atmosphere by giving less food and charging more money for everything also to be honest the place is not so clean and I saw some mice and rats there

I go here for an Everything Bagel with veggie schmear, tomato, red onion, and capers. No one else around has better bagels than here...for me that is. I am usually in and out after I order in about 5 minutes. GREAT FOOD!

Hands down the best bagels on the east coast. New store looks great. Team is always very helpful .

Amazing bagels, good coffee and welcoming atmosphere. Best bagels I've had outside of NYC and reasonably priced to boot. Absolutely a gem in the area

We already had breakfast so we wanted a Greek salad. Unfortunately, that wasn't available. It's a popular, busy restaurant, especially on Sundays. Service was good. Recommend that you go after 2 PM.

Great bagels and spreads. The new renovations look really good. The new Roasterstown Coffee is a full service coffee store similar to a Starbucks.

if you order more than a few things (bagels, coffee, sandwiches, etc) on the touch screen, the pick up situation can be confusing (especially for first-timers). but the staff is very friendly and willing to help, so don’t be afraid to ask! regardless the bagels are delicious and that’s all that matters

Best bagels in Baltimore! Lots of good things on the menu. My only minor complaint is that it always seems chaotic in there, but that's a very small price I'm willing to pay for the great food👍

Awful service. After ordering a simple sandwich, I waited for an hour. Still no sandwich. After asking about my order, the employees scrambled around trying to figure out where my order was. I don't think they even started making it. I eventually got it. After finally receiving my order I received no apology for the wait or anything. What a waste of time. The bagels are a little hard for my taste, too, but maybe I just don't know bagels. I'm aggravated and I won't be going back.

As a fellow New Yorker who lived in Baltimore County for 3 yrs, this place is the BEST bagel place Baltimore-Maryland has to offer! Classic Kosher-Jewish Bagels are here in Baltimore County. The freshness and the homemade taste and appeal of their bagels, makes me feel like home. 🍎🗽🥯 😍🦀

Great place. A little noisy and a little crowded. But normal for the style of the place. I definitely recommend it.

Compared to other bagel spots I tried they are definitely the better option. Was great to find a reliable option that reminds me of what I get in Philly & NYC. Only real complaint I was not expecting my egg and sausage to be cooked like that.
