Romanova name on the restaurant appears as "SR". Apparently recently renovated, the restaurant appears chic inside while being your traditional Spanish terracita outside. The manager, that I friendly call "Beep beep" for his walking speed and asking you questions that you finish hearing from far, is a really nice guy and will tell you many times that everything is home made. This is reflected with a small menu proof of homemade good food. Moreover, the food is effectively very tasty and elegantly served. The dishes are of a size between tapas and a main dish and the desserts are very nice as they are not too sweet. Price is reasonable but I would say more than a single € sign as shown in Google. Impeccable! This is one of the best lunches ever, and I've had a lot over the years! The Patron is a real gentlemen, friendly, passionate and, most important, knows what great food is and how it should be presented and served to his customers. The food is typical but the freshness and the care dedicated to its creation raises it to sublime levels. I came away uplifted and, well, stuffed...he serves generous portions!!! Forget the rest, this is the place.

The food here is excellent. There isn't a formal menu. You tell the owner your food preferences and he accommodates them. It's great value for the money as you get a lot of food. Make sure you come hungry.

I’ve visited twice and both times the food has been great, and the service is excellent. The main guy (I presume the owner?) is incredibly passionate and clearly runs the place with very high standards. Every dish we have had has been very tasty.

Amazing restaurant, very friendly staff. There were 5 of us and we all had the 6 course menu which was so good. We were travelling around Spain for a week and this was one of nicest meals we had. Prices are very good for the quality and you can park in the public underground car park just around the corner. Visiting Gandia again in a few weeks so will definitely be back! Thank you !

My wife and I, together with various family members and friends, have had lunch at Romanova restaurant on several occasions during the past year. Romanova is one of our favorite restaurants in Gandia, as the service provided is always friendly and attentive and all of the dishes we have had there have been carefully prepared and delicious. The restaurant's fixed-price menu--which consists of four tasty appetizers to share, a main dish per person (of fish, meat, paella or "fideuá") and a choice of homemade desserts--is an abundant and delicious meal at a reasonable price. Romanova's fideuá is quite simply the best we have had in Gandia. The restaurant, which is located on a pleasant pedestrian street, has some outdoor seating available in front; otherwise, its indoor dining room is comfortable and air conditioned.
