Service on the Buda side of Budapest was weak until we met Jenö. Top level service, amazing food and prices to boot! I gifted him some Zsolt Sauce which was a hit. We had the Cseh vadas (how fitting that it’s my last name) and another stew. Great food, drink and pricing!!

A dingy place with the dark wood panelling and economy lighting, but worth it for the selection of great Czech beers. Food is solid Central European fare that men used to eat after wrestling the plow pulled by a pair of oxen all day. Mains are pretty good, especially the sous vide pork knuckle platter and the beef cheek. Desserts are a hot and miss, with the Kaiserschmarnn a miss.

We took Jaromir platter for 2 - large portions, excellent food, soft, juicy and perfectly cooked meat and an excellent selection of beer. Cabbage soup was fantastic. Would recommend.

The beer was fantastic, the service is superior and food is good, but I had some feeling that the smoked ham was a not really fresh. Anyway, I had no problem from it so it's okay. The atmosphere is really recalls my young years, I loved it.

Great beer and excellent food and one of the more affordable places in Budapest, also nicely off the beaten track with a friendly local crowd.

Excellent food/drinks and large portions for a relatively low price. Nice and friendly personnel. Warm and cozy place. We will definitely visit again when in Budapest next time!

The best PUB in Buda. Traditional czech food and beers, good prices, friendly staff. Update: There was indeed a bad period when we didn't go here much either (we went to the Bázis instead), but this problem was solved, so the old and constant quality has returned. Excellent cuisine still, they have Kulajda!!! I would give infinite stars if I could... Keep up the good work Guys!

Very good food, great service, highly recommended

I had multiple beers and food here already even for takeaway. There is a really big selection of everything here all czech beer even there is like 8 of them on tap and much more bottled, canned and party barrelled. Highly recommended for beerlovers and to those who would like to have a good meal at a really d price besides drinking.

Service was kind, tables kept clear, however the place is depressingly claustrophobic, barely any windows or signal. Sadly I would avoid the burger, meat from ths freezer tasted a bit like fish!

First of, big thanks to the waiter who kindly translated all the meals from the menu! Besides, portions are huge and very delicious. Also a wide range of Czech and local beers. Decent priced restaurant with great food and service, totally recommend!
