Booked to stay in this hotel. They emailed me a week before I was due to say they had moved me to a sister hotel that was about 30% cheaper than here. No mention of a refund of the difference. The reason stated for the move was that the hotel "will not be operational" on my dates. Despite this claim, I can still book the hotel for the date I require, not only on their own website, but every other aggregator site. So clearly this is a lie. I booked it through Hotels.com and got a fantastic rate but it was non-refundable. The cynic in me suspects that they wanted to move me so that they could sell the room again at twice what I paid for it. Absolute disgraceful behaviour if this is in fact the case. Thankfully hotels.com did refund me the price of the booking when I explained the situation.

The hotel is in a great location but cleaning and attention to detail not so much.

Fantastic view of the park from across the street, rooms were nice but I think they tried a bit to hard to look "modern." Our room has fantastic balcony views, which I included in the photos. The staff was very professional and helpful. Would stay here again

The hotel is very well positioned. It's located in a beautiful district just in front of the marvelous Parque del Retiro and it is very close to La Puerta De Alcalá, which is a huge square leading to Gran Via. It's possible to rent bikes. Hotel Staff is very gentle and ready to help the client in any situation. Rooms are clean but they really need to be renewed. Furniture should be changed. A welcome kit could be an idea… International Breakfast offers a lot of choices. Bar is good!

Friendly and courteous staff. Alvaro, at reception desk, was extemely knowledgeable about local attractions and restaurants. Alvaro should be commmended for his excellence in customer relations. He was a pleasure to deal with.

Fantastic location right next to el retiro. Amazing breakfast buffet and room service. Friendly staff. We had the junior suite which was fantastic for a family of 4. Great value and we will definitely return.

Great location, really friendly staff, right next to beautiful Retiro park great for jogging early morning. Stayed as a family of 4. Easy to walk, even for the kids, to great range of restaurants & city centre. Spacious rooms and fabulous breakfast. Period building but odd modern refurb rooms, shame they didn’t keep the heritage features throughout. But that’s just my personal preference- overall a great time had by all - the breakfast was the best!

Very good hotel for the price. I booked the junior suite, and during check-in was assigned to a corner room on the 5th floor, with a nice balcony and an excellent view of the park. The breakfast downstairs was also great, with lots of variety.

Friendly hotel near the park with a small restaurant for snacks and light meals. Buffet breakfast can be recommended.

I booked a 3 person room through Capital one Travel. I chose this place because it looked so quaint. Upon arrival the desk clerk was attentive. That was the only good thing about the stay. Our room overlooked the alley. A small 10 foot box on all sides that barely got any light. Our AC didn't work, which we didn't realize until late in the night. We told the late night desk clerk and said someone would be up, after an hour I fell alseep. It was 11pm We had to open the windows to get fresh air, but at 7am someone was in the alley banging God knows what. The room was forcibly modern. Why would you have such a cute looking outside and then harsh lines and cold hard feel to the inside. The shower was open air, got water everywhere and there were some serious cracking to my headboard. I wish I never booked there. 😪

Great, comfortable hotel in the middle of the city and across from the large, scenic El Retiro park. The rooms were small for a family of four but the bunk beds really helped preserve space. The air conditioning was not great - but everything else was perfect. Great, friendly staff and lots of options for food!

We stayed here one night and got an upgrade to one of their corner family rooms. It was huge! The kids loved the bunk beds, and it was nice to have space for all of us. The beds were comfortable as well. There could be a bit of upkeep in some of the spaces, and the chairs for our table looked like they needed a deep-clean, but overall the room was modern and clean. The breakfast was amazing - highly recommend! Staff were very kind and helpful as well. The hotel is across from the beautiful Retiro Park.

No hot water in bathroom. The staff ignored it. We didn’t even get an excuse. The should have compensated us in some way. Perhaps a free breakfast or a voucher. Avoid this hotel!

This is the most amazing boutique hotel. The staff are lovely. The renovations are so tasteful. Such good value for money.

Amazing structure of the building and elegant room with a balcony. Had a great stay during our trip to Madrid, Laura at the reception is really sweet and also the others, breakfast was also good. I would highly recommend this hotel with easy access to some parks and museums.

The staff, ALL of the staff were 5 star(6 star). We truly could not have asked for anything else. The room was perfect, with a small balcony to see the park. Bathroom and shower were excellent as well. We will certainly be back. It is a complete coincidence that the hotel is named for us, LOL.

Figured hotel was ok for the price. We traveled south of Spain and one thing I did notice is the hotel doesn’t give you daily water bottles only the first day you arrive. Other hotels gave us water everyday. I also didn’t like how they provide you one dental kit when it’s a minimum 2 people in the room as well. A coffee machine in the room would have been nice too. All these little things to me make a difference within the service of the hotel. The hotel seemed grand in pictures but when you get there it’s not as what it seems. Breakfast I can say tho is exceptional. If only it wasn’t seated downstairs rather somewhere more nice and open to truly enjoy it.

Great hotel. Great experience. Great employees. The breakfast was very good, the rooms were very clean. Good Customer service. Amazing location! Would definitely recommend! (three people stayed in the room, had a king bed and a twin bed, also had two tiny opening window balconies, very pretty)

I had a reservation booked a week ahead of time, yet arrived in Madrid to the locked and boarded up hotel that had a disconnected phone line to top it off. These guys went out of business and decided not to notify their existing reservations. Classy. Edit: The hotel replies to say they were in contact with their guests. They were not. Their phone line was disconnected. They also had time to reject or cancel the booking and chose not to do so. All lies.

The hotel is closed. Front doors are locked. Somehow they are still accepting reservations so do NOT book with them.

Nice historical building. Large room had a pretty nifty walk around balcony but closed to the outside which is a shame. Staff was courteous and friendly. Odd bed though. Not sure what it was made if but felt strange to lie on. Only instant coffee in room which was disappointing for a hotel that clearly makes the effort in other ways. Great shower. Nice location for exploring the park and dinners. I'd come back but I'd also say some room for improvement.
