I cannot say enough good things about Alba Birth Center. It is truly a special place filled with the most amazing and caring women. I am so glad I made the switch from the traditional hospital setting to Alba at 20 weeks. I looked forward to each appointment, even though I had a three hour drive round trip. The midwives are beyond knowledgeable and are there to support you in every aspect of pregnancy, birth and postpartum. I always felt listened to and well informed. My labor was long and hard but the support I received during it from Heather and Cynthia was unmatched. I will never forget it and am so grateful. I cannot wait to return to Alba when/if my husband and I are blessed with a second baby!!

There arent words that can say how amazing this group of women are! Alba is truly a one of a kind place.This group of midwives (and the lovely ladies up front) go above and beyond to welcome you and provide the best care for you and your baby. When we found out we were expecting, we wanted a different experience from our previous hospital births. We wanted a place we could be part of a team, and we found it! I looked forward to each appointment and always felt so comfortable and never rushed. When we experienced complications that led to preterm labor, Heather was there tirelessly answering all our questions, discussing our options, and meeting with us as things began to progress. We ended up delivering our early baby at Alba! Heather and Antoinette got me through a difficult labor with peace, support and calm assurance. They handled the situation so professionally, we were able to welcome our baby in a beautiful, stress free environment that gave him an amazing start; allowing him to THRIVE! We will truly miss our visits to Alba! I would absolutely recommend Alba to anyone expecting a baby.

We are beyond thankful to have birthed our baby at Alba. They have a proactive approach to educate parents on natural birth. The way they connect with each patient is beautiful. The care we received was attentive and helped make my first labor both incredible and empowering. We will definitely be returning if we have another baby. My husband and I switched over our care to Alba at around 20 weeks. After our first meeting we immediately knew we were in the right place. The people working at Alba have such kind and loving hearts. We felt so cared for and heard at each of our appointments and really trusted both Heather and Katie! There is a joy and warmth that you feel as soon as you walk in the door. We could not have even imagined having a better experience welcoming our son into the world! We are beyond grateful for everyone at Alba!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Alba. After having my first birth in the hospital with an induction/epidural, I felt like a bystander in the birthing process. I knew I wanted something different for my second. After my initial appointment with Katie, both my husband and I knew this was the place for us. I shared my concerns with Katie & Heather that I didn’t feel connected to my intuition or instincts and they listened and encouraged me. I could not have asked for a more incredible birth experience! I had Katie, Heather and Cynthia all present for my birth - they were supportive without smothering, encouraging without disrupting the process and allowed me the freedom to move and birth how I felt most comfortable. I was able to listen to my body for the first time and labor my baby into this world almost completely independently. It was incredible! I cannot say thank you to all the staff enough for their care, support and kindness!

We are so very thankful to have been in care at Alba for the second time. Heather, Katie, and Hanna have helped me feel so empowered, at peace, and confident in my body to deliver our baby naturally. We had an incredible birth experience and each visit with the midwives and staff is such a joy. The midwives are so knowledgeable and kind. If you're interested in having an out-of-hospital birth, Alba is the absolute best choice.

The Alba Birth Center Team went above and beyond our expectations when it came to our pregnancy journey from prenatal care, education, financial transparency and most importantly our labor and delivery experience with our first child. From the first time we stepped foot in the door we felt so comfortable in the warm and welcoming environment and couldn't believe how peaceful each of the birthing rooms looked. Katie and Heather are both so great at making you feel comfortable and informed when it comes to each step of your pregnancy. We are so happy that Alba is a part of our community and we continue to share our happy experience with family and friends and look forward to working with the team again in the future!

Our first child was a hospital birth and our second was at Alba - these experiences were night and day difference. I had the most beautiful, calm, and empowering birthing experience with Alba. Everyone was so supportive, encouraging, and kind. They truly make you feel special and like so much more than just another patient. We don’t intend to have anymore children, but I almost want to just because I enjoyed my birthing experience and working with the team at Alba that much!

Katie, Hanna and Heather will always be in my heart. Since day one, I felt they were family. As an expat, going through pregnancy far away from home is a whole different experience. My husband and I were confident that we wanted a more human and warm experience this time and we found Alba. Every appointment was a great experience as we would wait for those days to come with excitement. We would leave with a warm feeling of being cared for. When it comes to birth, you always have to be prepared for the unexpected and in my case things didn't end according to our plan. Our baby was born via c-section and even though it was not the birth i was deeply wishing for I felt supported by the Alba team the entire time, they put my health and my baby first. They never left my side. And for that I will forever be grateful.

There aren’t enough words to describe how wonderful our experience at Alba was. The prenatal care I received provided me with so much education on how to care for my body during pregnancy, specifically regarding nutrition. The appointments were unhurried and I never left with an unanswered question. My husband and I both attended the birth class lead by midwife Katie and would highly recommend. In my husband’s words “they gave me confidence in my ability to support you during labor and postpartum, while helping me understand what you would be going through”. Our birth experience was beautiful, something we will never forget. Midwife Hanna perfectly supported without interfering, offering suggestions while allowing me to trust the process and listen to my body. The postpartum care enveloped so much more than one 6 week checkup, and the midwives were always certain to assure us they were there to help in any way we needed. We are so grateful for Alba Birth Center!

I truly cannot put into words the level of appreciation I have for Alba Birth Center, the entire team (receptionists and midwives), and everything that they stand behind. My husband and I felt so supported and cared for with each prenatal appointment and especially during our daughter's brith. I knew from the very beginning that I wanted type of care that you do not receive in a hospital setting and Alba surpassed ALL of my expectations. The midwives and the receptionist made us feel so comfortable and cared for us like we were family. With each appointment, the midwives would check our baby's heartbeat and position and each midwife would smile a sweet smile and talk to our baby - truly the most warming staff around. Also, their level of expertise in unmatched! Our birth went even better than expected - the environment was calm and relaxing and the midwives were quite yet supportive. It was ever everything I could have hoped for and more when welcoming our daughter into the world. I am truly so sad that our time at Alba is nearing the end, as seeing them so regularly was the highlight of my months! I would absolutely recommend Alba to anyone expecting a baby, without a single hesitation.

Alba is AMAZING! After having 2 hospital births (twins and single) we knew we wanted something different for our 4th child. From the first appointment with midwife Katie I knew this was the place I wanted our child to be born. The midwives are all knowledgeable and truly care about mom and baby in all facets of pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. We had the most clam and empowering birth experience with Hanna! Wish we could have had all our babies at Alba. If you have any hesitation, don't, Alba is the best place to have a baby your way!

My experience at Alba was better than I could’ve ever expected. I was able to have a 100% natural birth with no unnecessary or unwanted interventions and the care I received during pregnancy and postpartum was beyond helpful. The midwives were extremely friendly, kind, and caring and I was sad when my time there was over. I would definitely recommend Alba to anyone looking for a positive natural birth experience and I hope to be a patient there again someday!

I am so happy with our decision to go to Alba Birth Center for the birth of our second child. The experience was completely different from the hospital birth of my first child where I ended up delivering via cesarean. I was blown away by the Alba team’s support and how they made me feel so comfortable and confident in pursuing a VBAC and all the other questions we addressed prenatally. I was so at peace going into labor because of all the education and communication we had ahead of time and knew what to expect from my body and trusted my team to help my labor progress with different positions. With their support, I was able to write the birth story of my dreams and birth my 9 lb. 10 oz baby naturally. Thank you Alba team for empowering me and supporting our family.

I switched over from the standard hospital care to Alba at 20 weeks and am forever greatful I did. Here's a few reasons why; for starters the facility is just beautiful making the experience of bringing your child into the world just a little bit more sweet. As a first time momma I had so many questions that I feel like I never had the time to ask in the traditional health care setting where as at every appointment with each of the midwives I felt heard and not rushed on to the next patient. Midwife Katie also teaches classes that are SO informative I would recommend those to anyone who is expecting. Postpartum appointments they really made sure both baby and I were in the best position we could be-again answering all the questions that come along with becoming a new parent. And the cherry on top is, the ladies at the front desk are always so welcoming and excited to see you every time you walk through the door. You will leave here smiling every time.
