Incredibly good dishes are offered. My kids had the brisket sandwich and I had hamburger with yummy mash potatoes and corn. Well cooked and very well spiced. We enjoyed our experience and service was super fast. Owner stop by our table to introduce himself and hear our about or experience. Highly recommend this place!

A true BBQ gem! The décor is rustic and really comfy. We ordered the BBQ Sundae as an appetizer, though it didn't last long enough for a picture - it was that good. Portion sizes were ample, the food presentation was well done. We ordered BBQ sundae, BBQ Burger, slow smoked brisket, and dessert. Katie, our waitress was very knowledgeable, helpful, and made it an enjoyable experience; she even has a menu item with her name (go look). A must go!

Phenomenal food, well priced, good and quick service. I was so tempted to try all there smoked meats, luckily they had a platter that let's you try everything, for an extra $10 they give you a Dino rib, my goodness! Will come back over and over every time I visit Miami.

This place seemed to suffer from freshness issues. The french fries on one of their signature appetizers seemed like they had been left over from yesterday. The bbq ribs I had seemed like they left them too long cooking in aluminum foil. The meat seemed more like pulled pork than beef ribs. For the prices they were charging I expected more better barbecue.

Enjoyed the meal with the family. Good service. 01/26/2023 Had a wonderful waiter Ivan, who told us of the Cowboy Steak. The steak was incredible, they really know how to smoke meat at Mendel's. Really enjoyed the meal. Really pleased with our meal; and props to Ivan, for his suggestions.

We had an amazing dinner at Mendel’s Backyard BBQ in Miami! The food was delicious and so fresh, and the service was personal and professional. The atmosphere was amazing - it was perfect for creating special memories with friends. Highly recommend this place - 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Had a great experience a Mendel’s Backyard BBQ last night. It was pretty busy but our server Ivan was attentive and helpful. The food came pretty quick and was fresh & delicious. We will definitely be back!

Was eager to try this place for the first time after months of driving by and never having time to stop! It was worth the wait! Great atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff - and the food blew me away. They also have a big selection of all sorts of craft beers too. I got the combo platter with burnt ends, brisket and ribs. Great experience - thanks, guys!

My first time coming here after hearing such great reviews. Came with a friend expecting a nice night out. As we strictly eat kosher this restaurant was on top of the list. But what a mistake! Apparently there was a change in ownership that brought along changes to the menu, quality of food and service, so my advice to you is not to go to this place relying on the great reviews from the past. We ordered two appetizers - the crazy fries and the chicken poppers, and one main dish, the two appetizers came relatively quick and the portions were nice, however the sweet potato fries were noticeably cold, definitely not fresh out of the fryer. Which of course was a major turn off after paying 30 dollar for the dish. The chicken poppers were disappointing as well! It was rubbery, salty and extremely dry! Oh and the main dish.. so 25 minutes after we ordered we are told they can’t provide us with the dish because they don’t have it available, the waitress gave us a menu to pick something else, and as expected never came back to check on us. So after waiting 15 minutes, we ask for the bill so we can check out, we had to wait another 20 minutes for that since the check came with a mistake. At the end when someone finally comes over to help and after paying for the meal, including the non optional 18 percent service added to the total, I briefly pass on the criticism and i share about the unpleasant meal we had just experienced, hoping they can provide a better service and experience for their future clients.. and instead of hearing us out and a professional apology, the waitress was just rude and dismissive. Important to note as well that throughout the meal several waiters came over with dishes meant for other tables, that we haven’t ordered. Clearly unprofessional, untrained and confused. Which at a point the interruption does become annoying after having the same mistake being repeated over and over. Also the waiters were unable to describe the dish they present you with. Overall the service was bad, the food quality extremely low, the wait time just ridiculous and the atmosphere was palpably unpleasant especially with the songs playing in the background in those horrible speakers system. Don’t waste your time and money!! The street is full with other kosher restaurants waiting to provide you with an experience you can enjoy from!

Took the kids here the other night, even though it’s under new management the food and service did not disappoint. Started with the buffalo chicken wings, sweet chili poppers and dirty fries. Got ribs and burgers for mains, all was excellent and even though it was a very busy night the staff was on point.
