I have visited this place a few times since January 2023 and I can honestly say the food is pretty good, and service that we received on our visits have been in the range from ok to good. I do have a quarrel with the kitchen (Cook/Co-owner) being stingy with the food and the fact that the menu doesn't reflect the actual price you will pay. The lady that sits at the register is the co-owner and says that they've been waiting for new menus to reflect the new pricing, but it has been a few months since that was said... $30 bucks for breakfast for two people is a little pricey especially if you are only going to give a dollop (literally 2 table spoons) of grits, 2 pieces of bacon, egg's, and toast for $15 a pop. It makes you feel like they're taking advantage, and it is deceptive behavior.

What a hidden little gem in Cooper City! People from all over Florida come here to relax and enjoy really terrific service and wonderful food. You can't beat this Chef. Everything has been absolutely delicious. Our usual waitress has always noticed when any customer needs something before they ask. We have enjoyed all the stuffed sandwiches, wraps, and breakfast, too. No matter what you like to eat, there are menu choices to accommodate all taste buds and dietary choices. I run into many old friends and I am truly amazed at the lovely manager/owner who has her pretty eyes on everything going on. She pitches in so at even the busiest times, patrons receive the Best Taste of Cooper City. You will never be disappointed and you will surely be back. Smaller, in this case, is so much better!

Good food, good prices, and good customer service . The place is clean. I love their chicken salad wrap and their Steak Beni. They have their own homemade sauce for the egg Benedict. All their food is great

There's not much special here, unless you want good, simple food and a friendly atmosphere. We stopped here for lunch on our way back from the Everglades. We didn't want fast food. I got breakfast while my husband got a sandwich and cheese fries. Food was plentiful and delicious. All the staff was friendly. Definitely recommend!

I am a big time brunch person and, unfortunately, not so easy to please when it comes to brunch food because I make many brunch meals at home and have gotten fairly spoiled. That being said, this place is a definite revisit for me. Our server, Debra, was extrememly accomodating. She allowed me to add ingredients to and "revamp" my meal. Normally I feel guilty doing that at a restaurant, but she made me feel perfectly ok about it 😁. Her response... "whatever makes you happy, hun". I mean, who doesnt like hearing that!? They have a chicken salad melt that is to die for. (Being from alabama I cant find good old fashioned chicken salad here, without all the nuts and fruit in it 🤢) I simply added some tomato slices and poached eggs and it hit every hunger urge I had 👍 Afterall, it just isnt brunch without eggs 😉. We will be going back and trying different menu items. Great mimosas as well. The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was strictly because the place is so tiny amd that made it fairly loud. Other than that it was an excellent experience. I highly reccommend.

Food was good, but whoever was managing the register was a little negative. Bad/fake vibes from her since the moment I walked in. As I was trying to cash out, she asked how was it, I responded with “food was good, the server was great”. It seemed that my response offended her as she scolded with “the food is also great”. Let me clarify that I was complementing the server, the food was good but not the best. Anyways, I would recommend skipping the place, clearly this isn’t the first conflict with this person as other reviews had some issues with her as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Taste of the City was a typical breakfast dinner lunch restaurant. The waitress was very nice and the cashier was friendly. I ordered eggs Benedict, and it was nothing special just an English muffin with eggs and some hollandaise sauce on it. The English muffin wasn't toasted. It's not something I would get again there. The coffee was excellent and very fresh. I was with my friend and we felt very comfortable sitting there for a while after eating. I'm not sure I would go back.

Not compliant with COVID regulations. Only waitresses were wearing facemasks - not the hostess/cashier, & not the kitchen staff. Also appeared to be at full capacity with people sitting elbow to elbow at the counter and all tables occupied.

Love this mom and pop shop. I've been coming here for years and it's always a great experience! They've added some specials that change regularly that are really fancy and delicious. Even though the prices everywhere are going way up, they are doing a great job of keeping their menu reasonable, for which i am so grateful.

Terrible service...... do not order to go they short you and then they also specify you must come back to get refund And can’t do card over phone.....also the refund is less than what it should be they create a price and honestly just rude when you even ask......

This place is awesome. The food is like momma used to make. The service is awesome. The owner makes you feel right at home. We love coming here.

If I could rate O stars I would. Customer service: horrible. Food quality: horrible. Racist: 100000%. This place had white staff & white customers, we nearly waited for one hour to be served (it was only 2 of us), Yet two tables that came after us (1 table of 2 white men & the other table of 3 white customers) were served first than us. After getting our food served, they didn't give me what I ordered, so I kindly let her know I didn't order this, she snatched the plate & 5 minutes later I get what I ordered. While eating the food, we didn't like the taste of it. Pancakes were super bland and you know us Latinos like flavor in our food!!!! Definitely not recommended for Hispanics!!!

Small, local diner. Generous portions, friendly staff. I had the Beni Latkes and my husband had the Breakfast Steak. Both were well made and delicious. The home fries were my favorite part. We went on a Sunday morning around 1045 and were able to get a table right away, but within the half hour it was packed. We'll be back again for sure.

First time eating here. I live in Plantation. Our new little breakfast spot. The politest crew. Then to the service wow beyond good, FOOD WAS AMAZING. Thank you!!

Best place ever. The kids wanted breakfast and my husband wanted a Cuban. Food was delicious and had a wonderful wittress named Jennifer. If you are close by you will not be disappointed.

I absolutely LOVE this place. I was born and raised in coppercity and have been eating here my whole life. I know its gone through a few different owners but it has always been soo good. But now, its the best I have ever seen it. The owner is super cool and is on top of her game making sure everyone gets what they deserve. The staff there are freaking awesome. I have around 8 to 10 years experience in the restaurant world so I sometimes hook the cooks up with a few bucks here and there but everything to the side, I truly feel like family as soon as I walk through the front door. I have a few other breakfast spots I go to depending on what I am doing for the day but hands down taste the city is number 1 on my list. Keep it up!!!

Went there for breakfast 2x in 2 days. Loved the food. Service was great. Very busy place so can have a wait, but they really do strive to minimize the wait. Nothing new to wait for a seat in a good restaurant. Totally worth it.

This family owned restaurant will take you back to New york. Genuine tuna melts on rye, fabulous fries, wonderful pancakes in different flavors, first time there and I loved it so much.

Went in on a busy Sunday morning. I was greeted and offered a seat right away. It seems to be ran by a close knit family as I saw a little girl walking back and forth. The wait for an avocado toast with grits and cornbeef hash was about 30 min. Good portion though and tasted good!

Taste of the City is one of a kind. Its a place with many regulars go and some people go there everyday! They have rotating specials, the servers are great, and the owner will know what you order if you become a regular. Go ahead and check it out!

I’ve come here a couple of times now. It has become my favorite neighborhood diner. Taste of the City has amazing servers, fast service, and tasty food. Gotta try their pancakes and hashbrown patties. Delicious. I haven’t had lunch yet but I seen some monster sized sandwiches coming out to other tables. Heard they make great chicken salad and club sandwhiches. I’ll be back to try that next. Give it a try. May be your next favorite spot too.

This place is an absolute Gem, it has a cozy feel with a very old school diner look, bring your friends...... the food is absolutely delicious, the waitress is amazingly friendly and courteous and makes sure you know what's special and apparently we have very similar taste because everything she suggested was delicious. Good place to have breakfast or lunch closes at 2:30 so make sure you don't miss out.

They make a really good curry. "Sushi" isn't so great. You'll wait forever for a table even if you check on way in advance and show up at the right time.

So personally, I have never been here, nor would I ever go here to be honest. My husband USED to meet one of his clients (a pretty important guy I'll add) maybe once or twice a month to eat breakfast and chit chat and in turn bring me back food from this establishment. Today, as my husband waited for his client and was served coffee, the server so rudely decided that their regular business was not worth the 20 minutes it was taking for his client to arrive and ended up essentially running them out. This VIP, also got involved, which is really saying something. Truly. Of course, they'll never be going there again but how sad that people talk about supporting small businesses, especially during these trying times but don't take into consideration bad customer service. There's no other way to describe that. I'm really just glad, it wasn't me waiting there, I am definitely not the one.

I love this place. Having reason to be in the area frequently, Taste of the City has become my go to eatery. This store front breakfast and lunch joint outshines the "Blue" diner across the street. Every meal (breakfast and lunch) has been anywhere from good to great. Pancakes better than any chain, eggs every way possible, fresh orange juice, good grits, great oatmeal, sandwiches, burgers and specials. A must try if you're in Cooper City.

Taste of the City is your Standard one off Mom & Pop diner. It's the type of place a like to eat! The food is delicious, the service is friendly, attentive and quick. The overall price with tip was only 2/3 of the price 9f another breakfast restaurant not too far away. This is only the 2nd time I've been here but we will definitely come back !

Always my go to spot. Family run, always friendly staff and good food. They even serve Mimosas and Bloody Mary's. Food is always fresh and made to order. Sometimes there is a little wait when busy, but that just means it's that good!!!

Great family restaurant with variety! Breakfast all day and yummy salads, sandwiches and other treats! Excellent coffee and friendly service.

It's a nice presentation and stomach filling... Though their not materialists so the sensory isn't what I would call good in the chef sense... It's a moral place where a painting of city life brings the transcendent in an a prior way so all this good and bad testing becomes only faith matters.... It's neat and kind..

I drop by this restaurant to taste their foods since one of my friends told me about this. The waitress immediately took my order. In just a few minutes of waiting it was served very well. As I tasted the food, it was very delicious! Five stars!

Great local spot for breakfast. Food is always good, fresh coffee and very affordable. Service is great and attentive staff. Inside is not very big. Plenty of parking. They also have mimosas that I’ve been meaning to try. Kid friendly!
