So I met the most caring and sweet health care technician Laila today. She did a thorough scan. Very good bedside manner. I also didn’t have to wait much for my appointment two positive things that are very hard to come by in healthcare. Thank you Laila for your excellent service.

Run as far as you can from this hospital!!!!!!!!! If you can avoid coming here I WOULD. This hospital is absolutely the worst. First of all they take forever to service you. Second the nurses here couldn’t be ruder. It’s not possible for people to be more obnoxious. They all have MAJOR attitude problems. No one wants to help you here so don’t come here !!!

I have to say that the nurses and doctors are very professional and nice, and the hospital itself is very nice, resort like. However, the hospital staff don’t seem to be too organized. My mom was taken for an EKG and was left alone in hallway and no one came to assist. after waiting for a few minutes, with no one around, she decided to get up and started walking until a cleaning person saw her and took her to the front desk. It was a very unpleasant, and scary experience for her. Also, while We were in the lobby we saw a couple of incidents with other people and the security guard. I understand they have enforced some guidelines because of the covid, but they don’t make much sense. They closed the lobby at 8 pm, unannounced, and got everyone out, and no one could go to their relatives rooms after that. Patients were not allowed to have any one stay with them until they got an authorization before 12 pm. Otherwise they have to stay by themselves, regardless of their age, conditions or else. Be prepared for the unexpected because there’s no good communication between the staff and the visitors. I hope they can resolve these issues that actually add more stress to everyone.

Worst hospital clinic I have ever experienced. I tried to be patient and optimistic with this place, the staff there are "nice", however this center has some serious issues. The check-in / out process is slow and confusing, most hospitals allow you to do this online to avoid multiple mistakes from staff entries. The physician I saw charged me for pretty much everything he could for the one visit I had, and tried to upsell me on doing labs at his clinic (I went to Quest and was able to get all labs done same day no problem). They billed me a random $520 "facility" fee, which insurance won't even cover, and that's on top of the physician's fee. Overall, my impression of this facility is a run down clinic that tries to squeeze every last cent they can out of you.

Horrific experience at Mount Sinai Aventura. I visited the ER in January - nothing could be done for my issue - no testing, no medications, nothing. I was given 2 Advils and told to see a specialist. Months later I am getting bills for thousands of dollars in addition to the exorbitant copayment I already paid for absolutely nothing. After months of making excuses why they couldn’t send me a detailed bill, they finally sent me on. The doctor billed this “visit” incorrectly at a high risk acuity level. If this was such a high risk issue, why did I wait for over three hours in the ER either 15+ people who arrived after me taken first? Each time I call, all the supervisors are unavailable and I just get letters from multiple collection agencies. Do not make the same mistake I did - avoid this scam of a hospital at all costs. I have already contacted the BBB and am already in touch with local newspapers to investigate the Mount Sinai scams.

I came here very early in the middle of the night around 4:00 and the nurse and doctor both Americans helped me with my terrible pain. They gave me medicine and scan…. Then when the staff change in the morning between 6:30 am and 7:00 most of the team were latinos like me. The nurses were talking very loud, laughing and didn’t paid attention well to the people in ER. People is sick and requires attention, peace and silence… not a bunch of Cubans / Latinos talking about news and personal things.

I came in to the Emergency department today, was able to be evaluated, tested, treated, and discharged within a timely manner especially for an ER. All while being treated really kindly by nurse Jacqueline and Dr. Vejdani. Both very empathetic, good listeners, and delivered excellent care. Very efficient and well ran ER department at Mt. Sinai.

Bilyana at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Aventura took such good care of my mother in law. She was empathetic, caring, attentive and sweet. We came late at night and she made the visit not so scary for my mother in law. Bilyana is great at her profession.

This office never answers the phones or calls patients back. It's ridiculous. I have been trying to get ahold of this office for 48 hours and keep getting transferred to this location and not even call center can reach them? How is this possible??? I'm definitely switching primary care providers this.

The billing department is charging to wrong insurance card, instead of charging to primary insurance they charge to supplemental which only pays the remaining amount after primary insurance processed the bill. I was trying to correct the issue, but never reached the billing department after numerous times, wasting 30-45 minutes each call. To reach billing department is like to reach the sun. The calls never returned not within the next business day, as the suggested through robotic message, but never. I called numerous times, during waiting 40 minutes listening to what my number was on waiting line. BTW, couple times it went on the loop from #1 back to #3. When finally I was number ONE, the message was that the call cannot be process, please call again. How this hospital can operate with such poor customer service and terrible management. There is NO customer support NONE when billings went wrong! It's a shame this type of operations and bad management put the negative stain on good doctors they have. No wonder they have such bad customers reviews on all subjects.

The ER is good but they have very rude nurses and people answering their phones. I just called because I’m worried I can’t get a hold of my parents and the lady kept telling “why am I worried they’re in the ER”. And that she had other important things to do than to try to communicate me with my parents. That they are two adults and I can call their cell phone. My parents are sick and I haven’t been able to get a hold of them for the past hour. Even in an ER things can go wrong. I wanted some sort of update or to speak with their doctor or attending nurse. Anything at all. I was willing to wait on hold for however long. My father did not look good when he left our home. This establishment needs to train their staff better. Be warned. Good ER but the staff is disgusting and useless.

Was here last night and never experienced an ER quite like this. We spent 5 hours there and never even got to see a doctor. What a waste of time and money. Unorganized and the bed sheets in the ER patient rooms were clearly dirty and not changed. Nurses seemed like they were just taking guesses on what the pain problem was. No IV setup, no blood work taken, never got my urine results, just no structure or purpose…

I would give it .ZERO stars if possible. Beware of errors made constantly on your chart. Double check your discharge papers. Mine were substantially incorrect. Called 2 times to correct the error and got yelled at (yes you get yelled at literally) twice. Both the charge nurse and the receptionist told me I was wrong. Ok, I’m wrong in writing the discharge papers I did not write. That makes no sense whatsoever. Also, you might be billed later for out of network doctors working there. Something else that makes zero sense. It’s like a lottery this ER. Avoid if you can. Horrible customer service. I’ve never seen anything as such never.

Dr. cancelled my appointment 1 hour before I was supposed to be there. Now they tell me they don't have another appointment slot available until July, which is 3 months from now. Definitely skip this place. EDIT: The woman who called me to cancel had no empathy whatsoever. You need a new job.

Over charged for services. Out of pocket after insurance was over $300 and then they have the audacity to send me a professional fee for an additional $50.00 saying my insurance wouldn't cover the remaining $200. Customer Service lack luster on the phone. Hospital doesn't care unless they get your money. AVOID just like their primary offices!

Terrible experience. My husband had a kidney stone. They ran the tests and a young female Dr told him it was too large of a stone to release him and he would have to be transferred by ambulance to another location. Thankfully there was another Dr listening to the conversation as she was giving us the news who asked her what the size of the stone was. He then told us it was a small stone and he could pass it on his own. If it wasn't for this Dr he would have been sent to another hospital by ambulance, overnighted and who knows how that would have ended up. All that for a small kidney stone. The female Dr had no idea what she was talking about or she was just trying to feed the system using her patients. Shame on her!

For three weeks I have asked this office to renew a prescription for a long-diagnosed condition. The doctor internist that used to be my primary care doctor left or was let go and Mt. Sinai Medical Center has refused to provide a renewal of the prescription for about three weeks. I have called and visited their office, but they are forcing me to have an appointment with a new doctor. They are forcing me to schedule an appointment to extort payment from my insurance company and from me (copay) even though I did not request to see a new doctor or need to see a doctor. The departure of my previous doctor is an internal personnel matter they need to handle. All I need is for this office to reissue the prescription for a condition that has not changed. In fact, withholding the renewal means I have been for about three weeks without access to a medication I must take daily. This company is prioritizing profit over patient care and are, in my opinion, negligent as I have pleaded in person to receive the prescription I need to take. Their extortion attempt is plain wrong. I have requested AG’s office involvement to prevent this firm from extorting insurance payments and copays from patients that should not be forced to make unnecessary appointments.

I went in could barely walk and was in severe pain. I went directly in. That earned them a star. There were some issues with my care. Things are not always perfect. Dr. Called, we spoke and I thought the issues were addressed. I was wrong. 4 days later after following up with their Dr. Not one person has touched my knee or provided any healing. I'm left in horrible pain and can't walk. Supposed to see Ortho tomorrow. I will update everyone on the situation. So far this is the worst medical care I have received in my 61 years on the planet. I'm going to have to rate my care has unacceptable and abhorrent. It is medieval to leave someone in horrible pain and unable to walk or work.

Worst hospital EVER. Nursed don't check on you what's so ever and it took the doctor 2 hours to see me. Not only that, they tried to force me to take medication. I asked to be discharged more then once and then failed to do so. I left right away and went to memorial. Mind you this was the emergency room.

Not very consistent in the way they book appointments, deal with results. Just disorganized and I received inconsistent information that made me waste a lot pf time. Some of the staff were very nice but in general, their good efforts are lost in the bad admin or attitude of some of the people. And good luck trying to get anyone on the phone. The doctor that saw me did not even bother talking to me about a serious problem and how to follow up- just deferred to the nurse. my first time. not a good start.

My wife had some complications, while we were on vacation in south Miami. Long story short; we were referred this medical facility. From the moment we walked in the ladies at the front desk were courteous and helpful in every aspect one could imagine in a health crisis as we were, they took us in to the room and the nurses and doctor went to work. Praise The Lord Jesus Christ for them, as a husband you could imagine my pasture, while the attended to my wife. My thanks to everyone who help in our time of need. God’s Devine Hands of continued health be you all of you. Steven & Gina G

I have had interactions with....Dr. Andrew Harris, good doctor! Lilly M. Gonzalez another great doctor, although I think she's not with Mt Sinai anymore. The overall experience has been good with Mt Sinai, BUT an organization is only as strong as its weakest link! .... in my case billing department dropped the ball. I had a routine annual physical and I'm still getting billed from Quest for the bloodwork that should be covered under my insurance, something about the "wrong code" .......was submitted and I got billed from QUEST.. I have tried to fix the problem 2 times over the last 5 months, but problem is still not solved! It always seems its a vicious cycle between PATIENT-DOCTOR-INSURANCE...nothing new here

On April 30, 2022 I had a bad experience in the radiology area of Mount Sinai Hospital in Aventura Florida, while attending a test. I was late due to a confusion in the appointment time, however the front desk lady very kindly spoke with the x-ray technician to see if she could perform the test. The technologist went to the radiology door to let me in, omitting to check my identification on my Id band, when I asked her if she wasn't going to check it, she asked my date of birth and omitted to look at my identification. She was asking me to get in, she felt like she had an attitude, when we got to the procedure room, everything she asked me was with her back to me, and her voice was annoying, when I told her that she was not kindly, she replied that I was late and it was her lounch time, I told her that if she could not do the test it was ok, to which she replied that it was my choice. It is unacceptable that we have a bad time when we visit a hospital because some of their employees are not professional, and do not treat patients with dignity and respect.

I do not recommend it, We called before going to thr ER and asked if they used a vacum to remove blocked ear wax, the Hospital employee said yes that they did have the vacum, but I explained I wanted to know the price for the visit and treatment and all… Did not get an answer, but still had to go to ER because I could not get a ENT on a Friday. And for my surprise after waiting an hour went in and got informed by the PA that they did not have the vacum to remove the wax out of the ears, frustrating and disappointing, since I called and they confirmed they had it ( the vacuum)So they put the drops and lots of water… and did not accomplish both ears unclogged, then referred me to a ENT. Also at the front desk when requested a bill for treatment or estimates of price, the staff refused to give it to me and said they bill insurance first…. I called this a totally disrespect and mistreatment to patient with all miss-lead information, and refusal of prices for service practices.

Terrible service. Not only is not personalized but the receptionists have an attitude often and even lie about scheduling times and don’t give them. Then if you call again another receptionist tell you something completely different about the schedule. It’s scary bad, specially in health matters to have such an irresponsible and bad intentioned people working. And curious that the apparently so reputable name mont sinai company don’t care anything at all about that and the abusive customer service. I haven’t had an experience being operated there but if their careless attitude in the medical field has the same neglect than with the rest it feels dangerous. I can’t wait to change this place for another more respectful and cared one. It is a scary and depressing feeling to put health in hands of people that manage themselves with such attitude

I requested an IV after 5 hours of pain. Not even an ultrasound. be aware of the discharge documents not reflect the right treatment very Unprofessional not care at all. I ended up going to another facility where I am receiving proper medical care. Never again no empathy or care Dr. Farcy treats patients like if he was a robotic machine, not empathy or care not even an explanation of treatment plan nothing, maybe he was tired I don’t even know , but if you are tired don’t come to work because you are dealing with human lives. The staff seem to be scared of him, although the nurse was kind did what she could.she apologized to me for all the situation gave me the discharge papers and I walked out alone with the same pain. I was treated here years ago and the doctors were really nice and explained to you the course of treatment or any questions you may had. I don’t know if they have a shortage of providers but he needs some time off because he is not doing is job well. Very disappointed !

    r. Skorniki called in the wrong labs for me after I asked for very specific ones. He told me I could walk in and get my blood redrawn whenever. I couldn’t call ahead because they don’t have phone lines directly to the clinic so I got here and found out the lab is closed already. Then I found out he put the lab order in to the wrong place. Now I have to go to labcorp instead. Stay away from this place and him especially. He has no idea how to use his EMR system and is always asking for help on how to put labs in. This is truly terrible healthcare.
