I absolutely love shopping at target so when it came time to make my eye exam, I figured you couldn't go wrong with target optical. Turns out I couldn't be more wrong. The front staff "optical specialists" are extremely rude and uninformed. I overheard them complaining to customers, to each other about customers and witnessed their curt and rude dialogue while speaking with customers over the phone trying to schedule appointments. They "help" you pick glasses out which basically is you picking them out and then they will give you prices "when they have a minute" and then argue with you about the insurance (which I ended up being right), try to bill your insurance for special pricing when all you had was routine exam and then talk down to me about my coverage and cost owed. I will never return to this target optical. I even dreaded when I went in to pick up my glasses - they never called that they were ready and when I asked what time they closed they said they wouldn't help me after 7 pm (they close at 8). Horrible experience. Do not think you are getting "target standard" service with the people who work here. It is a shame the front staff is so awful because the doctor is really helpful and kind.

First and last time I will use target optical. I decided to buy a pair of rayban sunglasses, I expected them to be expensive. They were running a deal on the frames at 100 dollars off, bringing them to 63 bucks(great deal). But after putting prescriptions lenses in they came back up to 263 bucks. I thought that was with all the anti reflective coatings, I was wrong. This is after I had a conversation with the lady that helped me with the glasses and told her that seeing my own reflection in my glasses drives me crazy. So I go back in to see if they will correct the problem and I’m told it’s another 50 dollars for the coating. They are totally insane telling that it’s what everyone charges and I got a good deal. 200 dollars for prescriptions lenses with no coatings is not a deal. They are con artists, supposed the manager is going to call me and see what they can do but I won’t hold my breath.

Scammers. Doing extra tests then necessary. Charging more than other suppliers and then giving me bull about 6 months supply covered with my insurance and I just have to pay $17 after my $150 allowance more. Hell I can pay $64 more and get full year supply

Came in due to a scratch on my eye. I made an appointment in advance yet still had to wait 30 minutes to be seen. The doctor on staff, Dr. Choi was very rude to my son who was with me. You can tell he is not a kid friendly person. He told him rudely to hush. Also gave him a dirty look when he grabbed candy out the candy jar. I really don't know why you would have an open candy jar out in the open if you don't want people, or better yet kids, taking it. I came in with a specific problem yet he wanted to do an eye exam for my vision. Asked me if I wore contacts and I said no. After I said I couldn't read what was on there, he rudely asked me when I was going to come in to get my vision corrected. I said I wear glasses. He then said oh. That's right, because he never asked if I wore glasses. He also can see that I'm in sunglasses because there's a cut in my eye yet he wanted to do a vision test?! Definitely regret going here for the $89 exam.

Never going back to a Target optical again. The guy here was so rude.

It’s always a pleasure to know Jeff is still there. He’s always pleasant and attentive. He even takes the time to help me choose my frames. It’s one reason why I return year after year.

By far THE best optical experience I have had in years. Dr. Haley Newstrom is AWESOME. The staff was also fabulous. I had scheduled my appointment online and the process was seamless. I can honestly say that over 20+ years of eye exams this was THE quickest and most thorough process. I am thrilled with my new prescription as no prior Dr. even suggested monthly contacts let alone a new brand. Out with the old in with the new. Dr. Haley is my new fave.

Alainna assisted me with my purchases of both Prescription glasses, sunglasses and contacts. She had to be on hold with my insurance for almost 30mins to verify my benefits and while on hold she multitasked taking my measurements, giving me feedback on my options for frames and tint etc. She explained in very easy to agree with reasons why I should buy the protection options and also helped me maximize my insurance and minimize my out of pocket costs given all that I wanted! If you want great service with a smile go so Alainna at Target. I’ll definitely be back!

I had some issues with some of my glasses and jeff at optical did some phenomenal work! He evaluated the problem thoroughly, was very knowledgeable on the issue and found the solution to resolve my problem. Overall it was a tremendous service and I can’t thank him enough!

I recently visited Haley Newstrom for an emergency visit as I was experiencing discomfort and irritation for 2 days after only half of a contact lens came out of my eye. I reiterated that I continue to feel like something is stuck in my eye and was reassured they are equipped to thoroughly examine my eye for the piece that I believed was still there. I was told that I just had an eye allergy and was prescribed some eye drops. 3 days later the entire half piece of contact lens I believed was in my eye came out. The level of negligence and incompetence displayed by this supposed professional was truly shocking. Not only did she fail to detect a significant problem during my appointment but her oversight resulted in a prolonged period of discomfort and potential damage to my eye. I strongly urge others to reconsider visiting this particular eye doctor. Her inability to provide even the most basic level of care and negligence is inexcusable. The potential consequences of her negligence are too great to ignore and no one should ever have to endure pain and frustration I experienced. She failed to detect a half-dislodged contact lens is pure negligence and conveniently left the country and is unreachable when I called to inform them about the lens coming out of my eye this morning. I implore you you to seek care elsewhere. See picture below of the huge lens that She failed to detect somehow. UPDATE: Target commented below 6 days ago to create an illusion they care, asking me to reach out and I did but seems like they are refusing to reply considering this is a serious matter and I have not heard from anyone at Target now for over a week!..

My grandson bought his contacts at this Optical Center in Boynton Beach and had them shipped to my house in Texas as he is visiting here for a couple of months. The carrier lost the shipment. We called the optical store in Boynton and spoke with Elaina (spelling??). She was fantastic. She helped identify that the shipment was missing by making some calls and then arranged for a replacement shipment to be shipped out to us from the contacts vendor. She was awesome, very pleasant and quick to follow-up as promised. She was great and needs to be recognized for EXCELLENT customer service.

I arrived 10 minutes early, filled out paperwork, was immediately seen by the doctor, took out contacts and did tests at the 3 machines, tested vision, correction made for right eye prescription, then ordered contacts for me and my husband. All of this in under 30 minutes…and each of the 4 individuals I worked with were kind and attentive. This was the most efficient yet warm appointment I have ever had! I was very impressed! I will go nowhere else! Dr Choi is amazing and the entire staff is knowledgeable and such a pleasure to work with!

From the start it went great. The girl who answered the phone was pleasant and on point and set me up with an appointment. When I got there on time they were prepared for me even though they were very busy. They were organized and worked together well and got me in to the doctor promptly. Dr Choi was great and also very patient with my 7 year old who was with my wife. He made a good impression for him since he needs glasses also. My son’s visit at the optometrist will go easier because of this. Jeff was patient and professional while helping my wife and I pick out frames for my new glasses. This location is the best target optical in So Fl! I’ve used a few and this one has the most helpful staff and goes above and beyond in customer service. I drive an hour just to get to this specific location and it’s always worth it.

The nice thing about this Target Optical is that it's right at the front of the store. I arrived right at opening time so I didn't have to wait for assistance. The woman who waited on me made every effort to see if my existing frames were still available (but of course they weren't) but she found some that were practically identical. Since I was already in the system from last year the whole ordering process probably took fifteen, twenty minutes tops. A great experience all around. Edit to add: I was told that the glasses would be ready in a couple of weeks (I ordered them on a Sunday) and they were ready on Thursday, so three working days). The pickup process was as quick and easy as ordering them had been. Five more stars (-:

Dr. Stan Choi is an accomplished optometrist who will take his time in order to diagnose the overall health of one's eyes and determine how best to correct one's vision if necessary.

I have purchased 3 pairs of glasses over the past 1.5 years. I have always been pleased with my experiences. I have found Jeff to be particularly helpful and patient when selecting my frames and has always given me honest opinions. I love my new glasses!

I ordered glasses about three weeks ago and they're just now being shipped. Even though I was frustrated I am happy to say it was not Target Optical's fault. The lab they use lost my frames and failed to have my glasses done on time. Ah! But the team at Target was extremely helpful and so nice. They were on it the whole time so thank you for that, Target. Jeff was the employee who helped me with my classes. First time ever buying eyeglasses at Target Optical. Really never would’ve gone if it weren’t for the fact that they excepted my insurance. Shopped at Boynton Beach Florida store. Knew exactly what I wanted when it came to lenses all the coatings etc. just need a little time and a few suggestions to look for frames… When it came to fitting me for my lenses Jeff was terrific and took the time to explain what he was doing and how the information was used to create the lenses to be perfect for my eye! He really did do a terrific job and target optical is lucky to have him on their team! Great prices coupled with excellent service equaled a terrific experience overall… And to top it off my classes were ready in less than a week! I will definitely be heading back next year with my new prescription

Jeff has helped us out on numerous occasions for ordering new contact lenses and glasses for family. He has also helped us out with issues regarding repairs and replacement of broken glasses. He is extremely knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly and he has always been able to get us what we needed. We just wanted to let you know that we feel that he is a great aspect for the team that is over in the Congress location in Boynton and he has always provided extremely high levels of customer service.

Great service and very friendly staff. Walked in to see if they could fix a pair of sunglasses that were bent and one of the lenses had fallen out. Elena greeted me as I walked in, took the sunglasses and fixed them right away. I honestly don’t see this type of service very often anymore. Thank you Elena and target optical. Highly recommend !!!

Had a fantastic experience at this Target Optical! It was my first time for this one! My family of 5 have used many Target Opticals through out the state of Florida but was pleasantly surprised with this one on Congress Ave in Boynton Beach! Alainna was our person who we dealt with! She was professional, she was patient and she gave her professional opinion on the glasses we chose! We also told her we only want to use our insurance and not go over and use any out of pocket money! She obliged and did not try to pressure us or upsell us!
