The best jiu jitsu school in Miami!! Professor Daniel “Diesel” Fundora is amazing along with the coaches Michelle, Mika, and Kat!! The gym is family owned and operated. My son is 7 years old and began going amid the pandemic, the school has been a blessing. He’s been going to the gym for close to 2 years and he has learned many valuable lessons on the mat as well as off the mat. They not only teach jiu jitsu, they teach kids many other life lessons from respect to responsibility and self confidence. They offer the full package when it comes to child development and jiu jitsu training. If your looking for an all around well rounded jiu jitsu school where your child will get the attention needed to succeed in the competition world, or just want your child to practice jiu jitsu and help your child with any behavioral or discipline issues, this is the place for you. We love “Professor Diesel” and the whole Arise family. #AriseFamilia is the place you can trust and be sure loyalty, respect and proper morals are instilled on the daily. 🙏 “ARISE”

My husband has been training here for quite a while and I was so happy that he found his other "home". Diesel, Michelle, Mika, and Kat set a great example and are absolutely amazing. Besides their dedication and passion, they are very humble, patient and welcoming. Our 3.5 year old son recently started this summer and loves it! I am extremely happy that they opened up this new class for kids starting at age 3, Arise is family!!

So, as my many photos can attest. I like to train. I've been to many schools, and continue to visit friends at other schools. I'm not the best by far, I like to say I'm just really good at getting beat up, but I'm happy to report most of my partners say I'm good, good at getting smashed lol. I call Arise BJJ my home base. I was with a different school for years, but my job took me out of the country for a few years and I came back looking for a new BJJ home. My old school was still there, but as most of us know, if it's not convenient as far as distance to get there, price ranges, and a different feel for management, I had to look for a new school. I visited several, and stopped when I got to Arise. One of the main sell points for me was the blog Michelle posted on the website, go read it, she did a great job and it got me in the door. Professor Danny "Diesel" is a dad, and Michelle (Purple belt Co-owner) is a mom. I'm a dad, so they understand the needs of a family and Jiu jitsu is a family. They've really brought that feel of family and comraderie to this school. All levels, ages, and backgrounds walk though the door with a good attitude and the atmosphere here is always welcoming. BJJ has so many benefits, confidence, weight loss, stress management, just Google it and see for yourself. If you're on the fence, or even thinking about visiting, just come and see for yourself what Arise BJJ and the world of Jiu Jitsu has to offer you. See you on the mats readers, I look forward to getting smashed but always surviving 😉 Oh yes, forgot to mention, very clean, they do this foot cleaning thing you don't see at many places. They have two working bathrooms, good parking, and offer many different hours to train. They are very forgiving if you're trying to drop off your kids at school in the morning and make it to class late. Appreciate all you do guys!

Arise is not only my school but my family. The facility is modern, clean, the professor and coaches are welcoming and knowledgeable. You won't find a better academy here in SFL. They have classes for kids since 3 yrs old!

My son and my husband went several times to open mat, my daughter went cross training at Arise Jiu Jitsu. My best friend and her daughter train there every day. Professor Diesel is the most kind and welcoming person, the gym is very clean and spacious. Wonderful experience every single time. I wish more gyms were as welcoming as Arise. We highly recommend them.

Great academy. I don’t train regularly at this gym because I live very far but when I’m in the area I love training at Arise. There is a great atmosphere and the classes are amazing.

This gym is one of the cleanest gyms out there. Both the professors and the students are top notch and have great technique, enough to challenge any practitioner. Great sense of family and extremely respectful atmospher. Would recommend this gym to anyone that wants a great workout along with a clean and respectful atmosphere. And they have a really popular open mat on Sundays that gets packed!

If you or your kids are looking to start Jiujitsu or just moved and want to find a new place come on by. ARISE is by far one of the BEST Jiujitsu schools out here. Come check the place out and see it for yourself. The Professor and Coaches here are great at what they do, they are very talented. Everyone who trains here becomes FAMILY. And there is no place better to learn, grow and become great at something than doing it with amazing Professors, coaches, and teammates who are all family. 👍👍👍👍

Arise is such a welcoming place, from the kids to the adults, it is a caring and supportive community. From the first day you’ll feel the acceptance, you’ll feel like you’re right where you belong and that goes for both the adults and kiddos. To witness the more experienced kids showing my daughter what to do and how to do it on her day without Diesel or any coach asking them to speaks VOLUMES to the type of environment in Arise. You just have to experience it.

Very welcoming experience especially for family and kids. The coaches and members are always willing to help and welcome everyone with a smile. Even the most unexperienced participant can have a wonderful time and learn an invaluable art.

Arise is a great jiu-jitsu academy for all ages from kids to adults, boys and girls. The professor and coaches are patient and skilled making sure everyone learns at their own pace. My kids are building confidence and discipline which is something that will help them throughout any aspect of their life as they get older. It is a great atmosphere and family friendly.

Wonderful gym! Spacious and very clean, everyone is helpful and respectful. The vibe is great, and the team has a large range of skill levels. And there’s options for morning classes as well as evening classes. Love this place!

I am truly blessed to have come across Arise. Not only do we learn from top notch world champion competitors, we thrive creating new bonds in the family environment Professor Diesel and Michelle have created. Their kids program is one of best instilling values and character traits that can be used both on and off the mat. Happy to have found a home for myself and my kids

I trained at Arise for 2 years to what I believed to be my home and had to leave the dojo due to a bad experience as a woman with the professor. The dojo in itself is very small with barely any room to walk through as soon as you enter. The grey floor before stepping into the mats are always dirty as well as the bathrooms and the cubbies where you leave your shoes or personal items which were always filled with dust. There is only one dressing room to change that has a cheap curtain to see through and not much room to change into your Gi or nogi before stepping into the mats. The mats in itself were always as clean as possible which was a plus but the cleanliness of the dojo overall was not. There are no water fountains but they do have one water dispenser that is most of the times forgotten to be replaced when the water is running low and the students themselves would have to change it to have water after training. I did always have a great training with my teammates and competing which was a plus as well but I would not recommend it to anyone looking into training jiu jitsu around this area.
