The delivery was fast, the driver was friendly and the pizzas were hot and fresh. The pizzas were pretty good. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd give them an 8, though i travel a lot and have pizza in every part of the country, so I'm comparing Vocellis against pizza places all over.... Bottom line: the pizza is better than any of the pizza chains and I'll definitely get more next time I'm in town.

WARNING: THEY MAY NOT FOLLOW DIETERY RESTRICTIONS HERE!!! Sometimes it's great... but only sometimes. Tonight it was not. Ordered a salad for dinner and specified no cheeses based on their options/listed ingredients online. For whatever reason they decided to include cheddar, which is not listed as an ingredient in the house salad, so I did not specify to remove it. I have an allergen to cheese... so I have no dinner tonight despite paying for one. If i try to pick it off and miss one piece it may result in medical bills for me. I can drive all the way back up there and argue with them for 10 minutes like last time, but I must be up early and that will negatively impact my day tomorrow. No win for me on this one. This is also at least the fourth time this has happened (no dinner for me due to staff error at this Vocelli's). To the owner: LIST YOUR D@MN ALLERGENS ON THE INGREDIENTS AND ONLY HIRE PEOPLE WHO CAN READ AND FOLLOW A RECIPE CORRECTLY!!!! You were there when this was made, so no excuses. When my calzones were made wrong, you weren't there. When my pizza never was delivered, you weren't there. But tonight you were. Perhaps you should spend less time talking to former pizza owners in the parking lot and more time ensuring you take care of your valued repeat customers since, after all, you did mention our importance to your friend (and all while handing me the wrong product). It will be a while before you see me again, I promise you that. You value my business? Yeah right, it really shows.

$15/pie after tax. The cheapest frozen pizza is better than this garbage. Only in business because open til 1am.

Pillsbury makes a better crust than the thin crust pizza I picked up tonight. The pizza was undercooked and soo loaded with sauce and cheese it made the crust soggy. If you want a better pizza I suggest the frozen food dept. at Food Lion.

Since finding out im highly allergic to gluten I have been searching for a good pizza. AND THIS IS IT!! The gluten free crust was AMAZING, also fresh vegetables my mouth is exploding with flavor. I'm highly excited about this. Service was excellent as well super friendly!!!!! Scared it down before I was able to take a picture.

Taste was OK with the pizza, but nothing authentic about any of this sausage on the pizza was some odd little nuggets of mystery meat that tasted like sausage pretty much the same you get at dominoes. The cheesteak again was some odd mystery meat with the texture of sliced meatball or Giro meat by no means is any of this Italian the only thing Italian is the name I grew with some of the best pizza in NJ, not NY, but NJ makes some of the best pizza, and this would never be served anywhere in NJ or NY. Oh well, search continues in VA to find a good pizza.

Everything is always delicious and they give great discounts for working at a hotel. Omg the best pizza place in town I’ve had the wings rolls and everything on menu, everything is amazing and reasonably priced!!!

When the owner is working the kitchen around noon I believe the food is spectacularly good. Don't know if he still does that. When the owner is not in the kitchen the quality of the food is subpar according to my last visit a year ago

Just brought home a pepperoni and mushroom pizza. Amazing. The crust was crispy and tender. Sauce was just spicy enough with hints of fresh tomatoes. The chef needs to be commended... well done

We've recently started ordering from here...very happy with the taste and quality of the food. Pizza, bread sticks, rolls, subs all above average. Sometimes they get busy so order ahead w xtra time and you'll be fine. Happy to have found this gem!

Pizza is the best I've had in Charlottesville. They are fast, fresh and always provide cheese and peppers.

I ordered through the website for delivery. The little girl that delivered it with the 90s undercut was so rude when she couldn't find the right apartment she called and told me if I didn't tell her the right address that's she couldn't deliver it, so she hung up cause I told her that she was not at the right place. She decided to leave after I told her I'd come find her and told her how rude she was and she decided to cuss at me and told me I was blacklisted from there cause I told her to not be rude to the customer. Called the restaurant and told them about the situation and they said sorry about it. But I will never order from here again. Like how hard is it to be nice as a delivery person. Don't pick the job if you can't handle handing out a "FOOD ORDER"???? CHAIN RESTAURANTS TREAT ME WITH MORE RESPECT THEN THIS UNGRATEFUL PLACE OF BUSINESS.

One of the best pizza joints around ... My family and I love this place... Amazing strombolis and pizza rolls are one of the favorites among my children... An the pizza is loved by all of us.. My favorite on the menu would have to definitely be the cannoli... The only downfall that I have to say about this restaurant is a young lady that works there rather rude short when answering the phones and quick to hang up when you're calling in regards to order that you had received that was not correct and I still haven't had it corrected to this day but other than that I give this restaurant a 10 out of 10 because of the outstanding food and you know you try not to always let one apple ruin the whole bunch so with that being said anyone in Charlottesville visiting or around the area or just locals if you haven't already tried Vocelli's Pizza then you really should...

Absolutely amazing food. Favorite pizza in town. But dont sleep on their over baked subs. So delicious. Have been eating here for years and have never been disappointed.

I’ve eaten here tons…but my most recent delivery just tasted off. I’m hoping someone made a mistake or they ran out of dough….but our pizza dough tasted and looked like one of those premade doughs you buy at the grocery store. I’m hoping they did not change their recipe…and if they did, please respond and let me know. I’m afraid to risk buying again if that is what I will receive. The sauce also tasted very different. We never throw out pizza, but our last order, no one in the house wanted more and it was thrown out.

I ordered a Stromboli after a 12 hour flight I was so tired. The food arrived and it was fantastic I love the garlic that they put on the outside I had to change anything I would say they need to send to marinara sauces! Great job guys and the delivery driver was very kind.

We ordered a large team dinner from Vocelli's on a recent trip to town. The restaurant was so accommodating when the team was delayed arriving. They were able to hold the order and delivered to the hotel just before midnight! The food was amazing and great quality and the tired, hungry teens were so appreciative. Great food and great people!

Went to get pizza for myself and my coworkers. We ordered ahead online. When I got to the store there was only one man working. He was simultaneously answering the phones, making pizzas, checking people out for their orders and taking care of the in person customers…all of this with a pleasant attitude and a smile! Never had a bad experience here but this one will stick with me for awhile. I wanted to stay and help him answer the phones. Keep up the good work and I hope you find some help soon!
