Love the clean modern campsites, with nice big firepit area and paved parking pads. The addition of 1 bathroom with flush toilets was a pleasant surprise. Lots of nature paths to roam and ponds to fish in. If you're planning on renting there are several pavilions with picnic tables. The only negative is there are not any showering options.

This is a great county campground, not compared to other county campgrounds, I mean a great campground period. They have spacious paved sites, 30/50 amp electric service, water hook ups (some are a bit far so bring plenty of hose), surrounded by a forest preserve with plenty of hiking trails, two dump stations, bathroom (men and women) with running water and flush toilets (no showers), two vault toilet houses. The grounds are well maintained with lots of grass, fire pits at each site. Even primitive sites that require a short walk to bring in equipment. Highly recommend staying here. No reservations but sites are almost always available. Come early in the week on holiday weekends.

I liked the 1st come 1st served Policy. Most sites are paved and level. Water spigot are shared and you might need a 5o' hose. We didn't. Plenty of shade on the east side, not so much on the west side. Can bring and burn your own firewood. Driving a Forester 25' class C.

Amazing and friendly staff, beautiful grounds, and well kept. There are mainly RVs and campers, but we brought our little tent and were welcomed with open arms. The price is perfect whether you’re a resident of the area or not. There’s options for everyone. 10/10 would recommend!!!

It's very well taken care of with beautiful lawns and trees, cement RV pads, restrooms & showers. Part of it overlooks a small lake. All spaces are spacious with 30/50 amp service and a water spigot you share with one neighbor, but NO sewer at the sites. There are dump stations available for a $15 fee.

This campground is one of my favorites. The staff are super friendly and they make it like you have known them all your life. The bathrooms are very clwN and well maintained. The trails are almost manicured. I would recommend staying here if you can. Everyone treats you like family.

We have been staying here for years as it is the closest and best CG in Chicagoland. If it only had sewer it would be a 5 star operation. Stayed 7 days this visit and only needed to dump gray (25 gal) once. Cudo’s to the hosts who keep this CG running smooth and Kane Cnty parks for excellent maintenance.

This was such a pleasant surprise! Great sites, SUPER clean too. The camp hosts were great, awesome trails. Really loved this stop on our trip passing through the state! Worth the stop!

A great place to go for a walk, go fishing, or just eat your lunch before you return to work. It's usually pretty quiet and has places to sit in the sun or the shade. Also, on the off chance you have a camper and want to pitch, I'm pretty sure that's what you're actually supposed to do here.

Paul Wolff is located close to my home and is close to amenities if needed. But as soon as you turn into the campground it’s like a little oasis of happiness. There’s a stocked pond for fishing, RV and tent camping with options for electricity. It’s so affordable and the neighbors have always been kind. I recommend this place, especially if you want to just chill out and hang by the fire. Good vibes.

Very few level sites. No sites with full hook. 2 dumps available in the area. Some water spickets are quite a distance from site. Bring a lot of water hoses.

An absolutely pristine campground right outside of Chicago. We enjoyed one night here on our way through for $35 which included electric. Bathrooms are clean and they have a dump station what more could you ask for?

Almost don’t want to tell anyone about this place because it’ll be too busy to stay at the next time we swing by 😆 Amazingly well taken care of. Grounds and sites are gorgeous. Much more spacious than many other campgrounds we’ve stayed at in the past. $35 for electric and water. 2 dump stations on the premises. Dump included with $35 nightly rate. Some sunny sites, some shady sites. There are pull though and back in sites. Some water hook ups are far from the site, so a 50+ foot hose is necessary for those sites. Stop in first to see the camp host, but the camp host will recommend that you pick your site and fully hook up FIRST before paying! What? 🤯 That was new to us! Because you need to be sure everything works at your site before they register you and you pay because once you register, sign, and pay there are no refunds! So say you pick a site but your hose doesn’t reach the water hook up. Too bad! No refund. 😆 Seriously. Yes you get your registration paperwork from the camp host, (he/she will hold your ID until you come back to pay), pick your available site, hook up and be sure everything works (electric/water), fill out the registration form, then head back to pay and collect your ID. Great experience, so far. Even with torrential downpour. So beautiful, here. Super nice and informatove camp host 🤙🏽 Dog Friendly 🐾 too!

The main thing to know is to bring multiple water hoses, like at LEAST 75 ft. We only had 50 feet and after a lot of investigation we found one site where we could just barely reach with 50 ft (and we just stopped for one night, midweek late September, so the campground was nowhere near full). The water pressure was also kind of low, I can't imagine what it's like when the campground is full... The sites are well spaced, very few trees. Most of the sites are not super level, and a few had a significant slope. I took a quick walk on some of the trails and they were really nice, easy walking. The staff at the entrance was very friendly. There are 2 dump stations that we saw, the first was down in the campground and was flooded, the second was out past the booth and was fine. There is no wifi but good cell signal here for working remotely. Easy to get here from the freeway. I would stop here again when traveling through the area.

Bought my first RV and immediately checked into Paul Wolff's. The man at check-in was so kind and helpful. Checking in was so easy and relaxed. The campground itself is very peaceful. And when it was busier over the weekend, all of the guests were so friendly. I'm very happy so far! 😊❤️

Well maintained, but wish they had FHU sites. Reservations are not accepted. 14-day maximum stay. Best to arrive early or during the week. Kane County residents pay less. Try to bring ~100 ft of water hose if not dry-camping.

No showers but two flush toilets on the campground. First arrived first served but I guess you can call ahead to book a site. Lovely place, primitive sites are in the nature, quiet place. Very friendly staff, working late (till 9pm) to welcome you.

Nice place for Kane county residents. Not so nice for out of county residents. Sites are big and large easy enough to level they have an older section, and a newer section. New section satellite is okay, The older section you have to just pick your site a little bit better. No showers just fault toilets there is one toilet that actually has running water. Maximum stay however the camp post and the attendance are exceptionally nice

Very nice county park close to relatives so we're staying awhile. Spacious, level sites with 50/30amps. Dump/fill coming in as water locations can be a bit spread out. We heard one train only last evening. Super friendly camp host Judi took good care of us. We love it so far.

We camp here on a regular basis. Great place, simple, nothing fancy but well kept. Bathrooms are clean (no shower), sites are spacious and hiking trails are nice and maintained. You forget that your pretty much in a busy urban area, really puts you in another place. Great for people who live close by and are thinking about trying out camping for the first time. And if you have to run and grab the "we need/forgot" stuff, that we all have from time to time, there's plenty of places within a couple miles you can go to. One of the best camping grounds in the area!

This is a first come first serve park with a large capacity. Many spots available. Water, Electric, paved sites may need to do some leveling, shade trees if desired and two dump sites.

Extremely nice camp site! Pulled in late with kiddo on a ventilator and needing to hookup to power. They were closing but they helped us anyways and got us settled in. They came back to check on us to ensure we were safe before they finished closing. Super nice camp and staff.
