A nice little place full of history and news about Gainsborough, especially the old Marshalls tractor factory and Roses packaging company. These two displays take up most of the ground floor and if you were to read and study all the information on display about them you'd need an hour or two. Upstairs - or via the lift - is a nice street scene with old post office, sweet shop and an old house with vintage furniture. On the top floor there's old newspapers to go through if you're looking for something in particular. Just be aware that the place isn't open very often, maybe twice a week so check their website.

What a lovely evening visit to this little gem of a museum with our local WI group. Plenty of friendly and knowledgeable guides. Such amazing stories and history of Gainsboroughs industrial history and much more. Please support them and enjoy a very good museum. Great cake and coffee.

There's a lot in a little space but it's worth allowing plenty of time as there's some detailed exhibits. Sometimes special exhibitions but full of interesting by-gones.

Great local archive, lots of interesting stuff on local firms. Limited space used well to highlight really interesting pieces and always a good brew with excellent home made cakes. You don't have to be a member or pay to go into the tea room part.
