Ok I guess but not fantastic. I live 3 min walk away but would rather get in the car to get fish and chips elsewhere. Really wish they would up their game. I say this as I've lived in the area for a number of years now! Just a few doors down really, 3 out of 5 stars is not considered a low rating as I've rated the pizza restaurant in the parade as probably the best with the chicken shop being the second remember star ratings will change with service levels and product quality and affordability for the catagory of product. As a qualified chef and a previous successful food business owner of over 15 years_ I know one is only as good as your last service / product ! my standards are based on two things! Comparisons between restaurants in the local area and my professional standards of course, however in this regard its the comparison of what's available in the local market that's motivated my rating* the owner clearly can’t take constructive criticism which says it all… I wish this business good luck.

Great tasting food and VERY generous portions. The piece of cod was more like a whale!

Our normal fish and chip shop has changed hands .A friend recommended this one so we tryed on Saturday for our dinner.We will definitely be going back food was delicious and hot when we got home .

Fantaatic cod and chips from Deep Sea. Cod was crispy and not too oily. The chips were nice too. The chef who fries the fish is a marvellous man. Loved the gangster photos they have in the shop too. They also have parking at the back for customers. Will definitely come back

We have had lots of meals from here . We had plaice and haddock this evening . Absolutely delicious as usual , beautiful light , crispy batter . Huge portions, great chips and lovely people . My plaice was so large it was plenty for and my son . I would and do recommend to anyone .

First visit to the Deep Sea. Very impressed. The shop is spotlessly clean. The fish and chips were cooked fresh for us. The food tasted delicious and not greasy. Prices are reasonable too. Will definitely return.

If I could give zero stars I would. Very rude very racists. There are many other nice chips shops in the area who welcome customers of all different backgrounds. Disappointing to say the least! And just by the response from the owner themselves it shows they are racist. I will be publishing this online. You tried to delete your original message ‘this is normal for these people to act’ I have already screen shooted it and have posted on all social media platforms to show what a racist business you are. Your whole mannerism alone just proves my point I feel quite sad for you honestly, my colour affects you in some strange way. I hope you find the healing you need. Always has been, and continues to be, one of the best chippies in the area. For me, it remains as my goto chippy. Great people, great food, great value. Can't go wrong. A hearty and easy recommendation.

Pretty unimpressed, to be honest. The food is okay and portions are massive but service is slow and inefficient. I waited for ages last Friday and when I asked if I would ever get my food, I just got a load of verbal abuse. I don't expect this and I don't appreciate it. The food is okay but service leaves a lot to be desired.

I've never had personal dealings with these people , my family always grabs takeaway fish and chips from there. But what I can tell you is the fish is always fresh, absolutely delicious , and their customer service is top drawer. I didnt think Sea Pebbles in Hatch end could be bettered , but it just has.

Cook to order fresh fish and chips. Very clean and contemporary shop with nice vintage Hollywood stars' photos on the wall.Didn't have to wait too long. I bought the lunch special small cod and chips for £4.50. Good deal and delicious. I will definitely go back.

Ran a quiz at the weekend in the church up the road and deep sea provided 50 portions which all arrived dead on time and steaming hot. Best F&C in a long time.

I'm vegetarian and we have had chips from here.... Whilst something fairly simple however I did confirm with the shop that they don't fry with same oil as the fish and other meats.... So for me that does it 😌👌👍🙏

Been coming here any time I visit family. I live on the South Coast and these guys beat anything I've tried by far. Fantastic fish and chips and incredible value for money! Couldn't recommend enough!

Omg, its owned by Italian family x its the best battered fish I have ever eaten. You can get kids cod bites which are also delicious. The chips are a good size not from frozen. The staff really polite.

Amazing fish always fresh and prices are good as well. However, I wish they were open for longer (opening times are very limited)… always miss out on the good fish as they are closed.

Fantastic fish & chips and burgers. Best in the area. Food is cooked to order. Very friendly staff and the place is always clean. Easy access with free parking right outside no yellow lines.
