The El Camino is currently a shadow of what it was. The hours are unfriendly, its closed on Sunday, there are no towels, and Group classes are minimal. It’s amazing they have any members at all. It just showcases that the area needs their service and needs it to be better. I think other Ys have rebounded faster and you might as well go be a member there. Also, the schedule technology they use is awful and unfriendly to users. They used to publish easy to use PDFs but apparently are unable to now due to bad corporate policies.

The tall swimming life guard is very rude and the old staff is treated the place like a library. Very limited activities, and swimming pool staff is acting like you own them a thousand dollars

If you want a family-friendly facility and have no serious fitness goals, this place is great. The younger staff members are accommodating and passionate. The older staff members in the wellness center are crotchety and believe the weight room should be treated like a library.

If you sign up for a membership for the basketball courts here, don’t waste Your money. I signed up for the basketball courts and the schedules change every month. Barely any open gym in Dec. I decided to wait for Jan. No open gym times in the schedule. Same as February. They’ll have a few days in the schedule where there is open gym for an hour starting at 8, but thats it. Disappointing

No hassle. Clean facility. Useful, instructional signs are posted throughout the building. Many exercise options.

I really like the aqua fitness (water aerobics) classes at the El Camino YMCA's outdoor pool. I've been coming to these classes for quite a while now. Excellent instructors, & plenty of room to move, even when classes are fairly full. The facilities are also very nice & well maintained. It is OFTEN hard to park tho - that lot fills up fast (& I think folks who are not supposed to park there have started doing so, it's gotten much worse in the past few months)

The diversity and availability of equipment and programs is great. Staff are friendly, helpful, available (easy to find) and knowledgeable. If the following were better addressed, I’d probably give a 5-star rating. Reception area and membership staff need some way to help walk-ins who are lost, want to know how long it takes to meet with a rep to learn about membership, etc. Usually everyone is busy and not readily available to help those who wander in or members who have questions that are not answered by online FAQs. The wall of printed info sheets is useful for those who just need basic info, but humans are best at handling specific question.

Wide and pleasant place, as long as you are not of a minority, or simply looks “different”. The prejudice is patetic, the staff is rude and double faced. I witnessed an episode of harassment, and prejudice that was disgusting. Shame on you Y El Camino.

I'm a member of the Y and go to El Camino and Palo Alto Ys. Both Ys are a great place for all the reasons you may think you need/want a gym. Knowledgable instructors and trainers to help you safely get in shape or stay in shape; clean facilities, abundant equipment for hardcore to beginner resistance training needs, a big pool and locker rooms, showers, and, free coffee, without the big-E-ticket. Check them out if you're looking for a gym for serious workouts solo, or one that's family-oriented.

This YMCA is overflowing with amazing community opportunities: strength & recovery programs for cancer survivors; exercise groups Parkinson's patients; triathlon clubs; dozens of group fitness classes every day; child care; yoga; nutrition seminar;, swim lessons; saunas; complimentary wellness sessions, personal training...and so much more. There is truly something for all abilities, backgrounds, ages, and health goals.

I called just trying to get some information about membership fee's and lap swimming as COVID has made a lot of facilities change their policies about reserving lanes and what not. Their website also states to call for information about their daily rates. Was met with someone really rude over the phone, who asked how old I was and told me to look at their website. I never review places but I left that conversation feeling genuinely like I was treated with disrespect.

The Y is the place I began to focus on my own health journey and found the Y to be positive. The Y staff meets you where you are and supports you! They have always been welcoming and never intimidating. It's a safe and supportive place. Our community would be lacking without the Y and the services they provide to members and the community. They are continually striving to improve even against difficult challenges

Your staff is above & beyond amazing. Specifically Nikita & Armani - they really connect with the kids and help them develop & grow into really amazing little humans. Highly recommend!

My kids (6 and 8) go for the swim classes here and the instructors are very good, especially for beginners. The instructor to student ratio is very good, and they are flexible with the individual child's ability. For example, while both my kids are in level 3, they challenge my older one more with level 4 like activities instead of being rigid about what they do in level 3. Ocean, the swim coordinator (and coach) is terrific and the individual coaches have all been excellent too.

Love the swimming classes - your child will grow in their swimming abilities. Love the workout classes the high intensity ones kick your butt! Very welcoming and warm community.

The staff at the Almond Elementary School YMCA are amazing and we are so fortune to have them. I have so much trust in them and they are amazing leaders, mentors and role models for my son. They are also wonderful communicators and it's clear that they truly care about our kids.

The pool schedule is very accommodating (6 lanes) for lap swimming, and I love outside pools.

Kids are enjoying studio arts and Kayak/paddle camps. Baking and Engineering/Brick building were a bit crowded and that made them a bit less fun. Overall, it's well organized but their administrators could use more help.

very spacious place to work out , huge gym with large windows allowing me to look at the surrounding nature while on treadmill or stationary bike. I love taking classes at this location as they offer many programs that are fun and also a good work out. Checkout this YMCA . You will love it .

There are many group classes to choose from through the day. However, if you like to dance midday you are out of luck during the week. The facility is clean and the employees are helpful. There is a barre class that is EXCELLENT! Zumba is always fun!

Staff were very friendly and professional, I was quickly set up for a complimentary one week to try out the facilities, lap pool open most of the day, clean and nice facilities and convenience to work made the El Camino Y a wonderful place! Plus discounts for El Camino Health employees!

Our daughter has been participating in the basketball YBall for the past 2 years and loves it. The coaches are amazing. Not only do they provide great teaching, they create a fun community spirit that enables the team to bond, and have fun while acquiring great sills on the court. I highly recommend YBall.

The yoga/Pilates classes are my favorite. Sometimes just riding the stationary bike and working on some of the machines is all I can do and they are available with little or no wait.

The group exercise ROCKS at this Y! Tons of classes, lots of different formats, and very high quality + genuine instructors. Working out at this Y delivers not only an incredible sense of health and vitality, but also belonging :)

Great place if you want to workout and you have kids. They have Care for kids which is best selling point for me. I just wish their care timing would he till 7 or 8pm and more flexible on the time of 2 hours per child if there is no waiting. I would highly recommend YMCA. Merry Christmas 🎄

I feel like the place fell off big time. No towels. Lack of equipment. Not to forget this place closes really early.

I love the spin and trx classes. I have found the instructors accommodating, understanding and encouraging. They are not too intense. I like how there are separate smaller weight rooms instead of one large area. It’s less intimidating. I’m looking forward to exploring more at the y at El Camino.

I took my baby there since she was 4 month old and now she is 1. The post pandemic kids club staffs are extraordinary! Azita and Laleh are very experienced, skillful and Resourceful. I can’t thank them more. My baby has been well taken cared. My recovery after the 2nd baby was much smoother, my muscles mass increased and my water skills improved. None would be achieved without the amazing kids club team.

Caught athletes foot in the locker room. It was in the women's locker room despite the fact that I am man. No rules here!

No place is perfect, but this is the best fitness center I've been a member of. And knowing the good work that the Y does for the community makes it even better. The only thing that would make it ideal is an indoor pool and hottub. But I can go to the PA location for that. I could also make use of extended hours during the evening.

The staff at this YMCA are unbelievable - what a great team. The locker rooms are fine, and the cardio is excellent. The weight area can get crowded, it is on the small side, but it is clean. One thing, watch out, there has been quite a bit of theft there recently. Happens at gyms.....

The Y has been such a great resource for my family. I highly recommend taking a look before signing up for a traditional gym. They have so many programs, amenities, and classes with knowledgeable and professional instructors it's a great value!

Kim’s boot camp is amazing and is the best workout ever, Allison’s HIGH fitness is the bomb, the eGym is the best, plus, Daniel and Bruce are so welcoming. The help desk near the eGym has the most upbeat and wonderful people working at the YMCA. I love my YMCA!

I had angiography at El Camino Hospital in early August of 2018. Subsequently I completed Cardio pulmonary rehabilitation in January 2019 and staff transferred me to YMCA El Camino. I have been coming to this location since January 2019. This location has cardio pulmonary equipment which I use mostly. No other gym has this equipment. Staff is great, this location is very clean. Thanks you very much
