I recently visited Heavenly Mountain Resort and the gondola ride up the mountain was a standout experience. It was likely the longest ride I've taken in the United States, offering breathtaking views as we ascended. Admittedly, the cost of the ride at $90 per person felt steep, especially since I didn't partake in skiing or snowboarding. I simply went up for the view on a beautiful sunny day. Despite the expense, I must say, the experience was worth it. The panoramic scenery was simply unmatched. The gondola has two stations where one can stop. The mid-station is a marvel in itself. It's a picturesque spot with a pleasant little walkway, perfect for soaking in the natural beauty of the area. There's also a cafe where you can grab a coffee and some snacks, which adds to the charm of the stop. From the mid-station, the gondola journey continues up to the top of the mountain. The restaurant and bar at the top are fantastic, offering great food and drinks along with stunning views. It's a cool place to relax and enjoy the mountain atmosphere. One thing to note is that the ride back down doesn't stop at the mid-station, so it's best to be prepared for that. Overall, the Heavenly Mountain Resort gondola ride is a memorable experience, offering incredible views and a unique way to experience the mountain's beauty. Despite the price, it's an adventure that's well worth it.

A bit on the pricey side but it has a beautiful view of the lake! Its $63 just for the gondola. There is a second stop with other activities like a mini roller coaster but you need to but that at heavenly village before going up. It is a little colder at the top but there’s a gift shop with sweaters if you get too cold. One other warning, if the weather is bad they’ll send you back to the bottom with no refund. Ticket is also only good for one trip.

Refused as Non Skier in Gondola Entry Heaven it is truely and also the the facility you have created in nature's gift to you . Disappointing it is for waiting for three hours as few non skiers senior citizens who had wanted to go uphill in gondola once in a lifetime? What can be more unjust unkind than not to allow all to get in and up at first come first serve basis whether skiers or not?In India Gulmarg or Auli they do so . Scene viewers who came early waited three hours and saw freshly arriving skiers given tickets and going uphill. Is it because non skiers are a crowd unwanted uphill? Or non safe prevention policy? Sad we four seniors two vistors lost life time opportunity to go uphill and enjoy Heaven after waiting at tickets office physically for three hours . Hope kind justice clears the hearts mind of deciders of this policy as pleas to many I staff present fell on deaf uncaring earss. Btw Goandawale in India Marathi means made fool of someone or cheat the gullible . If you are fit and skiers you are lucky. All like me past fit now no more once in law lifetime visitor from India do not waste precious vacation hours if if you see long Skier Q ..we moved away to drive around lake Tahoe .

Steep prices but it's totally worth it! The views of the lake are incredible! First stop up is an observation deck that gives an awesome opporttunity for photos. Second stop will take you to the different slopes as welll as the mountain stop restaurant & bar.

Beautiful!!! You have to make time to take this trip up the gondolas to the mountain top. During the first stop you get to walk around the observation deck. The views are amazing!!! The second stop takes you to the ski area. Spend some time enjoying the views and the people skiing. Even if you don't ski, just watching is beautiful. Once you take gondola down, there is no stopping so enjoy as much as you can on the observation deck.

This is one thing you must do while in South Lake/ Stateline. The views are the best there are of the lake and the ride up is very calming. They run all the time unless there are high winds. The Gondola is warm and plenty of room for a family. My Wife and I ride this every time we visit Tahoe. You have to ride to the top at least once for sure!!

Heavenly is my favorite Tahoe ski resort, for the combination of terrain, access, and views. I don't love the California base, but the Boulder base and the Stagecoach base are easier to get up and down from. And Boulder has better parking. The lake views are the best, and it has a huge variety of terrain.

This is a one stop activity to enjoy Lake Tahoe. It’s located in very touristy Heavenly village. The gondola ride is almost 80 bucks (adult) in price but totally worth it. It is around 40 mins round trip with breathtaking views of blue Lake Tahoe with alpine trees and snow mountains. It has an observation deck for clicking photos and soaking in the view.

The most impressive thing about this resort is the hype. During our stay, gondola was not working. Car, from the village to California lodge, is not an option since there is very limited parking. The line to the shuttle bus was over 90 mins + 30 mins bus ride. In the slopes, the restaurant ran out of food, so we had no lunch. Clearly the infrastructure is not working. 2nd day of skiing was better. The line to the tram was 1h. Other lift lines were about 20-30 mins. The trails are very nice. On a full day, I managed to do eight runs.

As a novice tourist to this part of the town, it was hard to get adequate information from their website in terms of prices, hours of operation, and phone call was essentially not helpful either. We are not visiting to ski, and so finding out that gondola🚠 ride is $88 per adult was quite a surprise and a bit overpriced. Wanted to try the roller coast but it was not open. At least founded out that it costs $30 for a 1-5 minute ride. Will be back next time and hope I will have a better experience next time!

We took the tram to the top observation deck then up to the top. It was well worth the price to go up. The view was great so take your camera. At the level with the restaurant which was the reason I gave it 4 stars was the hours we were told for the restaurant was incorrect. The hot meals end at 2 pm. They only serve cold food and drinks after 2. Other than the food issue it was well worth the trip.

I had an unforgettable experience riding the gondola up Heavenly Ski Resort. The ride alone is one to remember with stunning panoramas, but the observation deck took my breath away. An expansive view of Lake Tahoe sparkled below us, its clear waters glittering in the sun, providing a magnificent backdrop to our adventure. Upon reaching the top, I was met with the welcoming ambiance of the mountain lodge. It was not just the cozy environment that won me over, but also the exceptional staff members who made our day even more special. I have to mention Cody, a food handler at the lodge, who ensured my experience was nothing short of perfect. He didn't just serve me chicken tenders; he ensured they were freshly cooked and hot, rather than the cold ones that were ready to serve. His dedication to delivering quality service was truly impressive. Then there was James, the bartender. More than just serving drinks, he was the heart of the lodge's lively atmosphere. He shared interesting information and stories that made the time fly by. His engaging personality was the cherry on top of the whole experience. Lastly, I can't leave out Solange. In a world where true customer service seems to be a dying art, she was a breath of fresh air. Her genuine care for guests and her consistent efforts to make everyone feel comfortable and welcomed were truly commendable. In conclusion, a day at Heavenly Ski Resort is more than just a trip. It's an experience filled with breathtaking views, delightful meals, enriching conversations, and most importantly, warm-hearted individuals who go the extra mile to ensure your day is nothing short of heavenly. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Another day in Paradise is how I see it! I go up often in the summer to hike up top since I live close by. If you haven’t been it’s a must do when you come to Tahoe. Its like it’s my first time every time. I am BLESSED!

We got the 7 day Epic pass. Your tickets are held in the Epic app and scanned at the base lifts. We stayed in a casino and walked to the gondola. Everything was great!

I had a freak accident on my last run yesterday and ski patrol did an absolutely amazing job at helping me out. They were so professional, made me feel calm and got me down a very steep double black seamlessly. They also waited with me until my friends came. I really appreciate their help and for making me comfortable during a stressful situation 🫶

Went up to heavenly mountain resort for the 4th of July with my wife. She has never been to Lake Tahoe there was a huge fireworks show, and we rode the gondolas to the top of heavenly then rode the ski lifts up even higher now were on our way to the moaning caverns in Sacramento California.

Visited Lake Tahoe for a few days during a trip to San Francisco. My 6-year-old wanted to play in the snow, and hotel staff informed us that tubing at Heavenly is a great way to enjoy the snow without the need to know how to ski/snowboard. Bought relevant Gondola/tubing passes online and headed for the mountain 1st thing in the morning. 15 min Q to get on a gondola. The views on the way up were breathtaking. Once we arrived at the resort the staff were helpful. We partook in tubing from opening time until closing, my son did not want to leave! Not too busy which I was surprised about given it was the Christmas holiday season. Wait time was about 5-7 mins to collect your tube and head for the magic carpet. Ensure you take appropriate attire ski jacket, salopettes & boots for when the wind comes in. Expert Setup - thoroughly recommended for young families. Looking into learning to ski here soon!

Lots of terrain variety, great for intermediate skiers especially. The views of Lake Tahoe are amazing as well on trails like ridge run and skyline trail. They have many high speed lifts although the queues can get quite long during busy weekends.

This review is for the coaster and gondola. Staff were so friendly and helpful. They gave safety tips and explained the process for getting up the mountain to the coaster. It was super fun and had excellent views both on the gondola and coaster.

Heavenly Mountain Resort is a great destination to visit in Summer or Winter. The gondola is open in the summer for trips up the mountain for amazing views and access to various activities and hiking trails. Well worth visiting if in South Lake Tahoe in Summer or Winter.

World renowned views of freshwater Lake Tahoe, North America's largest alpine lake. Spectacular, year round. Snow covered peaks in the winter, lush forests in the summer and crystal blue water all year round. 360° viewing. Slots on the pods for skis and boards. Very friendly, professional and patient staff. The gondola is not only for skiers and boarders. Everyone can ride the gondola. There is an observation deck. You can also take the gondola up to the amazing Tamarack Restaurant, for mountaintop dining (casual but delicious fare). 35' windows overlooking the ski runs.👌🏽

Awesome three day mid-week visit to Heavenly. Three different ways to visit the slopes from Heavenly Village Gondola, California Lodge / Tram or Nevada side (Boulder or Stagecoach). Tried them all. Watch the weather and plan accordingly.

What an incredible experience! Well worth the price for the gondola and Tamerak to the top of the mountain, while we would have loved to hike - with the trails closed this was much easier and quicker and the views are out of this world. Some tips: The gift shop when you stop for your photo opportunity has some of the best items you can’t get anywhere else, if you see something you want - buy it. Be mindful of time of day for lighting. All of the pics we took are weird because of shadows and we are squinting. We did the gem panning and while it was cool and well worth the money as our daughter came away with a very full bag, it wasn’t what we expected- it was just a bucket of sand. No real panning for a surprise of the maybe / maybe not. Those working also couldn’t help with what was found, just referred to the sheet. Not sure we would do it again, but happy to do it once. However that was our only semi not perfect interaction; The people working from check in to leaving was wonderful - great customer service with no impatience everywhere. Very impressive!! Would for sure do this again.

Great place to walk around, experience, the snow, experience, a Mountain vibe. There are places to get beer and drinks. We paid $100 per person to go up on the ski lift. Heads up on that! But, this includes either skiing or snowboarding down or tubing down. Lovely view at the top, great for photos! They also sell some drinks and snacks. There is a souvenir shop as well.

We were there just before Christmas and place wasn’t too crowded. Lifts are fast. Can’t beat the view! They have for all from beginners to intermediate runs. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. Snow was fresh one! Had best experience! Lots of food options.

Rode the gondola! Great experience....wish we had time to hike around the top of the mountain before heading back down. Beautiful views of Lake Tahoe & being amongst the trees.

First time to Tahoe. Medium size resort. Excellent weather and snow conditions on Fri Feb 10, 2023. No crowds! Unlimited visibility. Runs generously labelled as higher levels. In reality, most of the blue runs are well groomed, and should be green runs. Runs could be longer and definitely better directions can be put up. Definitely one whole star off for substandard food at prices to match the altitude. Eg hot dog $12. Overall we had a good time and will be back.

We loved it here!!!! Summer time but awesome. Rode the gondola to the top then a ski lift a bit higher. No zip lines for adults open so that was a bummer. Small hikes and some cheese burgers at the ski lodge and we had a great time. So beautiful.
