This was basically just glorifying the "old days", but without mentioning any of the injustices that occured. Some Folks may have nice memories cause they (((followed the Rules))), but atleast some Stasi expose would have been appropriated. Price was also a bit too much. Communism should never be put in such a good light, considering all its evils.

This is a nostalgic fantasy. It shows what the DDR was dreamed to be, not what it was actually like. No mention of anything remotely negative or even basic information on how the DDR was formed and how it ended, it's just room after room of products and nothing else. Very unrealistic with shops overflowing with an abundance of quite luxurious groceries, everything is shiny happy. Coupled with the mannequins it has an eery surrealist vibe to it. It even has a room showing the airplanes that according to the signs you could simply take to go to Amsterdam if you felt like it. Ha. It also feels pretty expensive for what it is at ten euros. The one thing that made it feel a bit DDR is they ask you up front if you're going to take pictures and charge an extra fee for it, so they have cameras up to make sure you are not taking pictures after not paying the extra amount.

This museum is actually not bad at all. It features lots of documentation from life in East Germany which is really exiting to get insights into. But the museum is made for people who were there themselves - and who reads German. As a tourist, you lack a lot of explanation to all the featured stuff. You get the feeling that there are lots of untold stories in the different rooms, and you are dying to hear them. Because this is truly interesting!

Planty memories from the old DDR including toys, real life scenes, cigares, cars and aven motorbikes. I am not a german but I still spend almost half a day there trying to live in those ages.

It was not worthy of time or the ticket! Boring display of objects from the DDR without any storytelling. It also made me nauseous.
