My husband and I would highly recommend Relais Ortaglia for your stay in the heart of Tuscany. We stayed and made it our home base for a week. It is just the right location for small day trips and there is also so much to see within 10-20 minutes as well! We need to come back so we can explore more!! The rooms are absolutely beautiful and the property has stunning sunrise and sunset views. The pool provided a much needed cool down in the 100 degree heat. Sandy and Phil provided a thorough list of things to see/do, most of which involved unique, local experiences that most travelers would not know about. They also made the most wonderful breakfasts!!! We can’t wait to return to this perfect property again! Thank you Sandy and Phil!

This place is magical! My husband and I stayed here for a few days and had a wonderful time. Sandy and Phil are so much fun, and the building and grounds are just gorgeous. Sandy cooked the most delicious breakfast every morning (fresh made pastries, eggs, etc) and they often joined their guests for cocktail hour at the pool bar in the afternoon. They also helped us with tips for visiting sites in the area, and helped us book some activities and meals. We would love to return some day!

Sandy and Phil have created a luxurious B&B Tuscan experience whilst managing to maintain a welcoming home-away-from-home feel. Their kindness and positive energy makes for an amazing stay. Great recommendations. Amazing homemade breakfasts. Excellent poolside cocktails. Friendly resident poodles. The list goes on. We loved the beautifully maintained rooms and surrounds. The vegetable garden facing out to the vineyards was a treat. Relaxing by the pool and looking out towards Montepulciano and the surrounding hills is unbeatable. We will definitely be back!

Relais Ortaglia in Tuscany is the most enchanting place! In June of 2023 we were able to spend 4 nights at this wonderful Bed and Breakfast. Our time here was everything we had hoped for and so much more. We chose Relais Ortaglia to be our time to relax in the middle of a three-week trip which included Rome, Venice, Florence and Cinque Terra. We were not disappointed at all. We just wished we could have returned one last time before returning to the States. Sandy and Phil are the most amazing and attentive hosts looking after every detail to make for an unbelievable stay. They dished up a wonderful breakfast each morning, offered suggestions about how and where to spend the day and even made the reservations as needed for wine tasting, cooking classes and dinner. Oh…and the BBQ they served us was delicious, and gave us the opportunity to get to know Sandy and Phil as they joined us for dinner and shared stories about their beloved home and its rich history. The accommodations were so comfortable with attention to detail in every place. The pool with its fabulous view all around and the new bar just steps away serving up the most delicious cocktails! The gardens were meticulously cared for and thought-out and the outdoor seating for breakfast was the perfect place to start each day. We could go on and on about how amazing Relais Ortaglia is but our suggestions is to make your reservation now. You won’t be disappointed in anyway. Thank you, Sandy and Phil. We look forward to visiting again. Ciao!

I honestly cannot capture the grandeur of relais Ortaglia with words or pictures. You have to go and experience it. It was our third time back, we are booking our fourth trip today, and hope to go every year. All the wonderful things stated in other reviews is true, and I think I would like to focus on Sandy and Phil with this one. It truly is hard to stay at other places after staying with them. This isn’t a job for them; it is their life. They give their all to ensure guests have the best experience. From the quality of the food, to the beauty of the rooms, the comfort of the beds, the attention to detail of drinks at the new bar and the continuous local & regional recommendations that blow us away — these are just a few examples of how high the bar is set in hospitality. They are well known and loved in the community & have a deep appreciation for the home & land that they love to share. No better place to stay and no better people!

I recently had the most wonderful Tuscan escape at Relais Ortaglia, and I can't stop raving about this place! From the moment I arrived, I was blown away by the stunning views that surrounded the villa in every direction. It's like being in a dream; the rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves create a picture-perfect backdrop that instantly puts you at ease. What made this stay truly exceptional was the warm hospitality of the owners, Sandy and Phil. They made me feel like a cherished friend rather than just another guest. Their passion for the region and willingness to share insider tips on local attractions and dining spots added an extra touch of magic to my Tuscan adventure. Now, let's talk about the breakfast - oh, my taste buds are still rejoicing! Sandy and Phil serve up a mouthwatering spread each morning that showcases the best of Tuscan cuisine. Freshly baked pastries, heavenly bread, and a selection of local cheeses and cured meats tantalized my senses. It truly felt like a culinary journey through Tuscany! The cherry on top was the beautiful pool area. On sunny afternoons, it became my sanctuary for relaxation. Lounging on comfy lounge chairs with panoramic views of the countryside was absolute bliss. Whether taking a dip or just soaking in the sun, I found myself transported to a state of complete tranquility. Overall, my experience at Relais Ortaglia was nothing short of perfection. The villa's charm, Sandy and Phil's warmth, the delectable breakfast, and the serene pool created a personalized haven that touched my heart and left a lasting impression. If you're looking for an authentic Tuscan getaway with a personal touch, look no further. Relais Ortaglia is a hidden gem that deserves all the praise it receives - I can't wait to return!

👍👍 My family absolutely loved our stay here. We were a group of 12, ages ranging from 14 months to 73 years. The rooms were comfy, beds firm but not uncomfortable. The best though is the restaurant on property and chef Frederico, also the host. The food was the best, absolutely delicious. They do speci...
