Experienced some of the best instructing with Francesco while getting my Wave 2 certification with him. His unique mental frameworks helped me understand how to find peace while pushing your limits. Deep instinct freediving is an exceptional school! The instructor and founder Francesco accompanies you through this physical and spiritual experience with dedication and love. Much attention is paid to the descent technique, exit, safety and above all breathing.

Francesco is a very talented teacher, with a sincere interest to help you understand your roadblocks on the way down, and help you experience more enjoyable dives. He practices what he preaches and I felt very comfortable and safe diving with Francesco. I would definitely consider doing my next wave here!

I did the AIDA 2 course and found it really great. Got way more confident and relaxed diving to 20 m. Francesco is a great, friendly, and safe instructor. Would highly recommend the club and courses.

I went for a weekend 5 session course at Y-40 "The Deep Joy". The experience as a hole was great especially thanks to the instructor, Francesco. He knows pretty much all there is to be known about freediving, he's patient and enthusiastic in answering your questions and even on the practical side he's really fantastic. He watches you reassuringly, gently adjust's you if needed, knows where you need to relax better. Other than an instructor he's also a competition safety freediver which made me feel even more at ease knowing he has lots of practical experience in that field as well. If you want to go for a freediving course I really recommend going for him:)

I highly recommend Deep Instict Freediving because this school combines seriousness, fun and well-being. I attended one of their winter events at Y40. I live in the area so I have been to several events at this pool, but I have to say that I particularly liked the Deep Instinct one. A strong difference compared to other experiences I have had, which is why I really liked this one, was the attention to experiencing the sensations in the water. Francesco really has an edge, many say it and I agree: very well prepared, patient and very attentive to the person's individual needs, he demonstrates a love for freediving and a sensitivity that few other teachers have. But he is also a playful person, capable of joking and even lending himself to fun challenges, always with the utmost respect for safety. The other teachers were also good and the organization of the event was perfect. I was the only "extern" (the other students attended the school's weekly training sessions) but they immediately put me at ease and made me feel part of the group. A nice climate was created, which certainly contributed to making me appreciate the time spent in the water even more. The convivial moments at the end of the day are also beautiful. I hope I will have the opportunity to have some seaside experiences with them!

Francesco and all the staff are attentive and very clear in everything concerning the preparation, execution and perfection of the dive! You learn a lot and, which never hurts, they are nice and company out of the water!

He is very good at advising on equalization so that you can reach the desired depth in a comfortable way. The atmosphere was relaxed and the Tuscan coast is beautiful.
