Hot. Very hot. The staff was nice, friendly, and made good suggestions for dinner and accommodations for trains and taxis and the like. The problem was the room temperature. It was 25C+ degrees the entire time. We asked over and over and over and over to turn the temperature down in the room and it never got below 24C. It was warm for Florence in late May so to return from warm to a room that was stale and warm made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. You don't have control of your air conditioning in the room and must ask the staff to change it. In the mornings (20C) the heat would be on in the hotel. Made no sense. I would have given 4 or 5 stars if not for the heat

The hotel is super convenient to the tram, just a few minutes walk away. The hotel sells tickets (1.70 EUR Jan 2024) which is super convenient and allowed us to catch a tram just in time. It can take a few minutes to get tickets from the machine. The buffet breakfast is nice and completed with the offer to make fresh omelettes to your taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout. It was nice to meet a warm smile from the team members. Special mention to Silvia!

Updating my review. There was a minor incident with a staff member which was promptly resolved by the manager. Happy to see complaints are taken seriously here. Alina and Francesco are awesome and takes good care of you. You will always be greeted with a warm smile.

Do you like spending years in Hilton hotels out of loyalty to a brand that gives nothing back to you? Do you enjoy sweating and laying sleepless in your bed because it is so hot and the thermostat doesn’t actually cool “one of the classic fake thermostats in the room that doesn’t actually cool to the temperature you set it at”. Then this hotel is for you! Make sure you call the front desk so that they can make the fake thermostat go down a few more degrees even though it still won’t cool the room. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

I'm a Gold member and a travel agent.. The hotel is about 6 stops from the center of Florence. There's a Tram that's very convenient to walk to from the hotel. The staff was very attentive. Everyone from the front desk, housekeeping and the dining room staff. I enjoyed breakfast, there was a big selection on the buffet. Breakfast is from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m. Day two I arrived at 10:05 and the dining area was closed..I asked if I could grab something quickly..they was so kind in allowing me to do so. I also had dinner at the hotel and enjoyed my salad the tiramisu. I highly recommend the Hilton Garden Inn to visit the beautiful city of Florence italy which is my favorite place!!

The staff were super friendly and helpful during our stay. Everything was made very easy and clear. The location is great for both the city centre and the airport, and they have an underground car park. The public areas of the hotel look nice and modern. The only thing that let this place down was the condition of the room. It was quite tired, with a lot of the fixings worn out, damaged or mouldy which didn't give a Hilton feel. There were quite a few mosquitoes in the room considering it was winter and we didn't open the window. There was also a fair few squashed mosquitoes on the walls. I would look at other hotels in the area first before deciding to return but it wasn't awful.

Visiting from the U.S., I stayed here for 10 days. The hotel is conveniently located next to the T2 line. Both Airport and City of Florence are <2 miles away in either direction. The walk to the tram stop is maybe 5 minutes. My number one criteria was good internet due to owning a business back in the US. The internet was reliable, fast, and worked flawlessly. The employees at the front desk fantastica and amichevole. They really care about making sure the guests are taken care of knowing most our visiting Florence for the 1st time. They did a great job. The hotel is located next to the University of Florence. There are several great restaurants in the court yard behind the hotel. Capatoast has great cappuccino and breakfast. Lastly, if you need to run to a grocery store there is Esselunga just a short walking distance. Their premade food is outstanding. My next visit to Florence I have no hesitation staying here.

Lovely stay! Exactly what we needed, and very comfortable room. Flavio at the bar was fantastic! Best Spritz in Florence. Clean rooms, nice bathroom and comfy bed. Only complaint was the shower tends to spray water on the bathroom floor.

As dedicated Hilton visitors we were happy to find a Hilton in Florence. While this wasn’t city center the proximity to the train made up for the distance. The hotel staff was wonderful, rooms were comfortable, & the breakfast gave us something to look forward to every morning.

Nicely situated hotel, 5 min walk from the tram and a handful of small shops to grab some lunch! Staff friendly and room accommodations on par with Hilton. However, the breakfast is 100% geared towards British palettes. Raw bacon every day and soft scrambled eggs (more like chicken soup!) every day but one. Who eats baked beans for breakfast...at a Hilton?!

We have a very nice room! The staff is wonderful. The breakfast is delicious with many tempting options available. The bartender, Fabio is very helpful with suggestions of places to tour. So far everything is really great!

It was a good 2day stay. The rooms are clean, front desk very helpful and the breakfast has a wide range of options. I particularly love the accessibility from the city center by Tram. It is a 5minures walk from the Tram stop

What a lovely hotel we stayed. since the arrival to departure everything was fantastic and smooth. A big thanks to Serene, she was amazing, she provided us a map and she remark some places for recommendation, we did most of them specially the ones for the locals, we wanted to visit some places not so touristic to feel the very Italian vibes, so glad we did it. the breakfast was amazing, the food was delicious, everybody working the breakfast was so friendly and helpful and always with a smile. the housekeeping service was fantastic, everything was clean so perfect and the room was very spacious and well designed. for sure we stay here again when we go back to Florence. Thank you you all for giving us a Wonderfull stay. btw... hotel was so close to the train that made our everyday so easy to be everywhere.

This is a very nice hotel. It is not near all of the Florence attractions, but it is not far by the tram that is a couple blocks away from the hotel. The breakfast is great with a lot of selection. Gotta love Google. I can't get to the pictures I have of the room we were in. It was a very nice room with a great view of the park next to it. You will like this hotel if you stay here. Beds aren't the most comfortable would be my biggest complaint. But I'm a spoiled American so take that critique with a grain of salt.

This modern hotel is a solid 4 stars. We had a great room with a king bed and separate sitting room. The hotel service was excellent. The room was clean and well equipped. The location was OK. The hotel is located in a residential area. It was a 10 minute walk across the park for restaurants and other commercial services. The restaurant in the hotel is acceptable, but not great. It was also very noisy. There is nothing in the restaurant and bar area to absorb noise. It is convenient to the airport and served well as a airport hotel.

Massive issue with the air conditioning at this hotel! They control it at the front desk and repeatedly lie saying they are turning it down. They state it’s at 21c which it definitely is not and that they will make it colder for you but never do. Also they turn it off repeatedly (in the middle of the night too) so it’s very hot in the rooms. Had the worst sleep there for three nights out of the 17 I was in Italy because of that and the terrible bed. It had huge lumps that kept trying to push me out of the bed. It was an exhausting stay. They did provide some compensation, but it doesn’t cover the lack of sleep and the lack of honesty of the front desk. Jose was the most disrespectful of the staff members. The rest were polite but still did nothing to help, which I can only assume is hotel policy at this point. Very disappointing. The location was convenient to the light rail into town.

Good hotel, clean rooms with AC and good bathrooms. Quiet location away from the noise of the city center. Hotel is next to the tramway stop, trams are frequent and quick to get to the major sights and restaurants, as well as the airport.

The rooms were great and very clean. The proximity to the airport is ideal for early morning flights. The desk staff was excellent in reserving an early morning taxi. The restaurant was terrible - I am usually pretty flexible, but dinner was inedible.

Loved this hotel, very convenient to the airport. Rooms were clean, lobby was very nice and looks like it was recently remodeled. We got the bonus of a double rainbow view from our room!

What I loved about this hotel was the lobby. They have such a beautiful lobby and the waiting area is actually big compared to many hotels. In the rooms another thing that took my attention was the bathroom; spacious as well. You also get a mountainous view from your balcony; the weather in Florence is beautiful in summer if you ask me. Sky is so blue and air feels clean. In addition to this the staff at the hotel were super nice. They showed us what we can do for free in our one day trip in Florence and how we can get there. Kudos to the management ☺️. Also to note there is a tramline about 5mins walk from the hotel and this same tramline connects you to the airport directly. You can literally use this tramline to the hotel from the airport and back if you are traveling light (one 23kg and a hand luggage 🧳) How to get to Hilton Garden Inn 👇 ~ Tram 🚊 10mins ride and cost is €1.50. This is the best route ☺️ ~ Taxi 🚖 4mins ride and cost is between €12-15. This is the fastest route ~ bus 🚌 22mins and cost is about €5.5. I did not have breakfast because my stay was only one day and I needed to see almost everything. I am however sure their breakfast and food will be great 😊

Fabulous hotel. The hotel is actually phenomenal in some important areas: brunch (definitely get it - incredible spread and lots of gluten free options), two blocks from Unita local train service to downtown and airport, staff is very accommodating, one block from the Coop Store where you can get almost anything (like a Wegman’s but lots of Italian homemade baked and cooked food), and the hotel is very clean. We would definitely stay there again!

Stayed her for 2 nights during my trip and honestly I wouldn’t recommend the hotel to anyone. It’s not a bad hotel persay but beds were very uncomfortable, the rooms were stuffy as they turn of AC during certain months and the only option is to open the windows and deal with the noise from outside and food and service at the restaurant was poor. Location is a bit away but the train station is a block away and take maybe 5 minutes to get to city center. It just really was an unpleasant stay and had we booked for longer we probably would have booked elsewhere and just eaten the cost

Great hotel close to tram stop in Florence, Italy. Loved being out of the city center but close enough to tram to get to the city center quick. This hotel was wonderful. Clean rooms, very nice bathrooms with amazing water pressure. Plenty of hang out spaces indoors and outdoors. Across the street from a great park that was huge with walking trails. Would definitely stay here again!!

Beautiful location & AMAZING staff service in all departments! Breakfast was wonderful and held us over until lunch. The bar was relaxing in the evenings with great music. Rooms were clean and the AC worked perfectly. We enjoyed every minute here. We can't wait until the next visit!

The location of this hotel is perfect, quiet area, and yet very close to stores and restaurants. 3 minute walk to the T2 tram that gets you into the city center or airport in 10 minutes for just 1.50EUR, no need for taxis.

Nice and clean. Breakfast is good. Close to the tram. You can buy a ticect at the desk. I gave only 4 stars because the mattress where terrible and there are no USB charging ports

This is in a newer area right across from a park and very close to a nice mall. They have a good breakfast buffet and room service. The reception staff were very nice and helpful. Rooms are clean and good size.

Huge room, comfy bed, clean. Friendly staff. The room is good by itself, and has ample space and all modern amenities. But it will need a refurb soon, some of the fixtures, especially in the bathroom, are used and look aged.

Not near the city center but it's convenient to get there since the tram is about 100kms away from the property. Beautiful hotel, I just wish they have more than 1 elevator. Breakfast is pretty good. Not too far from the airport. Overall, I like this hotel.

Great location - around the corner from the metro stop which goes directly to the Duomo/central station and even the airport! Breakfast was plentiful (typical European style buffet) and it’s complimentary for Diamond members. The room has plenty of space (not typical of European hotels)- I imagine it’s because it’s outside of town a bit (6 metro stops/12 minutes to be exact) and on a larger property. Hotel sells metro tickets which they can charge to your room (same price as at the metro stations) so this was convenient and saved us time. €1.50 per ticket for 90 minutes usage in any direction. I knocked one star off for the lack of service- front desk folks just don’t have personalities- don’t even provide a welcome greeting and no acknowledgement for Diamond members.

Nice hotel, nice position great fitness center. Giorgio the barman has delighted us with awesome cocktails (see photo), kudos for him!! The concern regard vegan food, I had breakfast and to be honest I could eat only packed biscuits with jam..disappointing

Pros - Nice location near the train to get to the city center within 10 minutes. And for the price, hard to beat. Cons - the half wall in the shower tub gets water all over, which is not ideal. Breakfast is a bit expensive but great options. Very noisy at night, which I wasn't expecting.

A good Hilton-standard with nice rooms. A bit too expensive having to pay extra for breakfast (€15 per person per day). The breakfast was okay but not anything special. A short bus ride into Venice center with the bus stop just outside the hotel. Nice having a free parking garage in the hotel.

Staff was great, rooms need some up grades, easy to take the tram to downtown. Breakfast was 4 star.

  • 3/5 Brenda D. 2 years ago on Google
Not good for people with allergies. AC is scented. AC unit only works with windows closed. Hard beds. Clean rooms, good location to Tram. Easy walk to coop.

Absolutely stellar 5 days, great value at this beautiful property. My wife and I felt treated like royalty; the staff were very professional and kind. The breakfast was full and very delicious, filled with many options in a sun-filled dining room. The property is near the elegant Piazza di Guisticia, a shopping mall, restaurants, and most importantly, the tram directly to the center of Florence. It was very nice to come back from a day of touristing to the beautiful room and friendly smiles and greetings from the staff.

Pro: I have no problem with the location, not in the city center but easy enough to get there. Supermarket and restaurants are close by. Stuff members are nice. As the Hilton garden inn standard, the breakfasts was very very good, no complaints at all. Con: The Hotel room layout is really bizarre, a working station is right in front of the bed? AC is very weak, it felt more like a fan instead of AC. I killed 4 mosquitos in 3 nights, I didn’t open the window, don’t even know how did they got in.

  • 4/5 Dirk 2 years ago on Google
The Hilton Garden Inn Florence Novoli is located outside the centre and thus more affordable than the downtown hotels. Still, I found the location convenient. There is a tram stop nearby. Tram come frequently and take you to the centre in 12 minutes or to the airport in 18 minutes. Staff is friendly, good breakfast, wifi is free for loyalty program members. Room was clean, has AC, could be a little more spacious. Only one elevator which can get bothersome when many guests arrive or leave at the same time.
