Amazing place just avoid July and August. It has a close number access to it you have to book online ahead and the booking page allow you to book within 72 hours from your visit. 10 euro for car park and 1 euro each per persons, there is not food or services on the beach so you have to bring food and plantu of water with you. At the car park you have a bar that sell drinks and pizzas, sandwiches and local fruits from their garden at very honest prices so if you forgot to organise your picnic you can store up here! We bought on our way back home peached and apricots from their land and pizza both so yummies! The beach is breathtaking green water and white sandy beach best time to enjoy the calours are early morning up to 12 and sunset time from 6pm. The parking close at 9pm so make sure you go back on time. You have to calculate 2km 30 min walk to be safe as we are not expert walkers but the path is easy with the exception of a steep long hill on the way back that requires a bit of effort we did it with 3 little stops! The path is under trees majority of time and this saves you from the heat most of the time. Is a wild beach don't expect any lido or paying for umbrellas and sunbeds. We will go back end of September as now will be full all summer ! We really loved it yesterday !

We visited this beautiful beach in the middle of September and we loved it. We didn't need an umbrella, as it was a bit cloudy on that day, but it is a good idea to be well prepared when going to this beach as there are no facilities. There is only a place where sandwiches, salads, coffee and soft drinks are sold and it was open until 17:00. You need to leave your car at the parking lot and walk 1.8 km to get to the beach, but I think it is worth the walk. The water and the sand were very clean. There were people, but it wasn't crowded, however we went on a Wednesday in mid September.

Cala Violina is a beautiful white beach located in Grosseto. I was there in July with my friends and I can say that it is one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen in Tuscany. The sea is clear and the beach is very clean. You have to be very careful: there are no trash can to protect the environment and animals. In fact, if you bring your own food home, the rubbish should be kept with you and thrown away when you leave the beach.

Amongst the most stunning beaches in Tuscany. Truly surrounded by nothing, except the Croce Rossa in case things go wrong. The water is extremely clear here and the sand is incredibly pleasant. You will notice the water is a lot colder here, simply because of less pollution. Make sure to bring necessary water and snacks since there is not one bar in the area. The walk from the parking lot is about 20 min. You can reach the beach by bike but keep in mind the road is in bad condition and is full of steep and long hills. If you park your bike at the nearest parking lot, it’ll be a 45+ min walk. Despite how hard it is to reach, it’s still so full :(

Don't waste your time walking here. The walk is ok and takes 20-30 minutes but the beach is way to crowded. It's possible to do it with a more or less off-road usable stroller, but due to the unfriendly ticket checking personell, everyone carried the strollers down some stairs directly before the beach. Just turn to the right and walk a little further, there's another way without stairs. We were there on a Wednesday end of June, and it's just not worth it. The water is clear (although algae parts in some areas), but you can get that on other beaches in the area as well. Just drive around the corner to Rocchette or towards the Maremma national park, there are lots of less crowded alternatives with very clear water as well. The beach should be restricted to even less people, judging from the 700/day now to maximum 350 and it would still be crowded. Several people also just left their trash on the beach, so the number of signs to not do that seems to be not enough for people's lazyness. From the more than 250k/main season it should be possible for the town to put up some trash cans, especially as the way to the beach could be driven by car, as the beach bar guys do.

It's a great beach. It's somewhat overrated and you have to book to go there. The price is negligible, the burden is not. There are also many ways to sneak in if you'd want. I generally liked the beach Civette more. Still the location is beautiful, the lagoon is picturesque and the sand is nicely soft.

Beautiful place. Restricted to 700 people so book online before hand. There's a 1.4km walk to the beach. Take a parasol as there is no shade whatsoever. Toilets are there, but I would strongly suggest to avoid them and just hold it in. They were so disgusting. I don't know how people miss when taking a dump. Doesn't look like it had been cleaned in many many months. Beach is beautiful though.

You need to book the place on the beach days before and the place is always full. The beach is full of trash such as cigarettes and plastic pieces. If you want to go to a nice and good looking beach, do not go here.

A lovely hidden gem. Crystal waters. Couldn’t give 5 stars due to the high costs you have to face to enjoy this “free beach”: - 10€ parking ticket (at the end of the worlds) - 1€ per person if you want to enter the “free beach” Feels like MAFIA, paying for something the earth is providing.

A genuine natural nature beach in National Park area , great idea you need pre-book access is limited , likewise car parking (of your using car) the walk alone to beach through forest is a lovely pleasure, ensure you take all your days needs , especially water and umbrella ! It will fill to the allowed amount of people so plan well. Little gem

Overpriced , overcrowded and overated. Been here 10 min. The water was dirty parking is at 1.5km away. Definitely this beach has nothing one was hoping for. The beach was so full there was almost no space to place our belongings. We went back to cala civette the best beach we ever experienced.

Nice beach. It is necessary to book and pay via the website, otherwise you will not be allowed in the parking lot. It is not possible to park in another place. You have to walk 1.5 km from the parking lot. But there are too many people on the beach. It's worth going early in the morning or later in the afternoon.

Very beautiful beach with a calm environment. There is a parking nearby, once you park the car you need to walk around 20 minutes. Once the park is full, you can't enter.

Really nice beach with soft sand and clear water. 20 min hill walk through the forest to get there though, and looks like it could get very busy. We actually turned up at 4-5pm where most people were leaving so got a few hours there with less people around, was still very warm and saw a great sunset!

Superb wild beach acessible only by foot. 1km trail. Visit early morning or evening as it gets busy very quickly. Visited in May so was almost desert at sunrise.

Great beach, book ahead on the site (really required) and dont forget to book a parking space. If you do; there is a parking space for the next beach Civette, which isn't too much further, but makes the walk a little longer. Cold drinks, bathroom are all available for pricing that could have been much crazier.

beautiful beach! (just keep in mind that to reach it from the parking there’s a 1.5km walk/ and arrive early to get a parking spot)

Visited at the end of the day when everyone had left! Nice, without the crowds and without having to pay, but not as nice as the right-hand side (nearest to Cala Violina) of Cala Civette.
