Really adorable and amazing pastries and cookies! Authentic and fresh Italian bakery and they even have Baklava. They have gift cookie sets and amazing Mignolis! Fresh cream in all desserts. The only thing I didn’t like was the pina colada cake bc the crème was thick and kind of pasty.

I'm not from the area and needed to pick up something sweet for my sister's birthday. I googled "baked goods near me" and this place was at the top of the list. It certainly lived up to the reviews. The selections are great, the service was pleasant and our purchases were every bit worth it. I highly recommended this place to my sister and she looks forward to the same experience.

Moio’s is a family-run bakery that has been in business for several decades. They sell a wide variety of Italian desserts, including cakes for weddings and birthdays and many dozens of flavors of pastries, cookies, and pies. In my first visit, I purchased a box of several desserts, including mandarin orange cake, carrot cake, apple strudel, almond tart, and pineapple tart. All of the desserts were fresh, moist, and flavorful. A chunk of plastic was somehow inside my carrot cake, and the owner kindly contacted me to make things right. In a second visit, my husband bought a cherry pie, a box of assorted cookies, marzipan, and a few pastries. These desserts were very fresh, looked gorgeous, and tasted sweet and delicious.

A big big thank you to Tony Moio! My family has loved Tony’s cake and pastries for years and it was an honor to be able to eat his cake on the day of my wedding and be able to share it with my husband’s family. Tony went above and beyond to make sure we could have his cake for our big day. When I called him (a little late in the game due to postponed wedding COVID planning), he was already tight the weekend of our wedding, but he squeezed us in! We just had to do the pickup / delivery which was not a problem for us. The cake was a simple, beautiful 2 tier accompanied by sheet cake. The almond, white batter cake was tender and light and the fillings (fresh strawberry and cherry nut) were perfect. Tony was even able to include a separate slice of cake to accompany a birthday shout out and a small nut-free cake with yellow batter for our guests with nut allergies.

So many delicious bake goods! Quick service! I'm going back for more! Stop in when you're in Monroeville. Ask for a fork because you're not going to make it home without having a bite!

High expectations, overwhelmingly disappointed. I walked into this place with instant thoughts that I was in Italian Pastry Paradise. I wanted 1 of everything! But I settled on a few of my favorites and came to terms that I would just need to come back to fully sample the eye catching scrumptiousness that will soon be in my tummy. The box of cookies were actually not to bad...worth a $30 price tag...not at all. The actual pastries, the only thing that was good was the Roman Cannoli. The Tonymisu was not edible, all you could taste overwhelmingly was the liqueur and or extract. The regular Cannoli was gritty and tasteless, and finally the Eclair; the chocolate on the top was excellent but the actual custard inside tasted bad. Alot of money spent to feed Sal the garbage can. Nevertheless, does anyone taste test at any stage in the process? I will give this place another chance at some point and would love to change this review. It looks amazing and I want it to be amazing, I really really do.

SIMPLY SPLENDID w/ very little lead time!!! The picture does not do this culinary creation justice but I wanted to give an example. Firstly, I was a bit desperate when I called because this place is crazy busy. However, the Moio’s staff took time to talk me though in order to give me what I was requesting ( I was kinda lost and DID NOT know what I wanted. All I knew was the theme was based on the Nintendo Switch😂) I didn’t give much lead time, which I DO NOT suggest at all. Honestly, I believe I got lucky or they heard the desperation in my voice! Even so, given a 24 hour timeframe the staff was able to customize my nephew’s cupcake- cake (the creation came completely from the artist) to the actual theme of his party!!! I was floored when I seen the cake upon arrival ( other customers were as well) … I had tears in my eyes and when I unveiled at the party my nephew’s eyes sparkled with delight. He kept opening and reopening the box! Listen- There is a hefty price tag BUT with quality, creation and superb customer service… who really cares!!! My nephew was happy and THAT HAS NO PRICE TAG!! This place is awesome 👏🏽… the other culinary delights are amazing as well- my personal faves are the CARROT CAKE- one of the best in PA, Nut horns and lady locks!!!! Sfogliatella is very good as well.

My husband's birthday was yesterday. He wanted a chocolate fudge cake from moios. I was there as soon as the bakery opened, and the line was out of the door. The cake looked beautiful! However, it was the driest cake I have EVER eaten. It tasted like it was stale. I actually choked on it. I am SO disappointed!

Excellent cakes, pies, and other treats. Their Italian Ice really hits the spot on a hot summer day, or any kind of day for that matter. Highly recommended.

My wedding was 10/29 and by far my favorite part of my wedding day was my cake. My cake was 5 tiers and it was absolutely breathtaking. It was so beautifully made and decorated. All of the hand piping on the cake was so unique and special. It also tasted absolutely phenomenal. Our guests loved our cake so much! If you are in the market for a wedding cake I highly recommend using Moios! Or for any of your bakery needs. Fantastic service and we will be forever customers!

Can I just tell you how amazing this bakery is!!! I have gotten many cakes from them and each one was good, but this last cake I got for my granddaughter was so good that it’s been over a week and people are still asking me for cake!!! Love this place! When we go we always get some of their cake slices. They're always delicious and fun to get a selection. It's so nice to have a family bakery in business for so long too.

This was a surprise to us! We recently found this pastry shop to have blackforest cake. Unfortunately it wasn't available, so someone suggested us carrot cake. we also took baklava along with carrot cake. Both of them were out of the world!!! Carrot cake is a must try ❤️ Rest of the cakes are very dry and have some kind of after taste.

My son recently got married in California and I wanted to take the Pittsburgh Cookie table with me. Tony made it happen! He baked and shipped 100 dozen cookies and they were wonderful! There was no breakage and the table was a hit. Most people had never seen a Pittsburgh cookie table before and they were lined up to get them right after dinner. Tony was wonderful to work with and he made getting the cookie table there so easy.

Definitely recommend this bakery. They have variety and even a menu. They make specialty items like the Italin Ice I loooooove! Flavors are Lemon, Orange and Strawberry. All amazing!

I ordered a custom cake on Wednesday Nov 15 for a birthday party on Saturday Nov 18th and Moios was able to have it done for pickup at 4:30. That cake was absolutely beautiful and my daughter loved it!! Thank you Tony and team for helping make my daughter’s party special.

Old world italian pastries with a modern flair for the most popular items. The staff greet you with a smile and a willingness to help right away without being pushy. The cookies, cakes, and all the pastries delight the 👀 eyes! The choices are many. This will only give you an excuse to go back again soon! The hand filled cannoli when you order is a must try! Famous for carrot cake as well 😋

Love this place. Has been our favorite bakery for a special treat for many years. Delicious cake by slice as well as full cakes and cookies. Always sumptuous and doesn't leave you feeling stuffed or on sugar overload.

Even though we don't live in the area anymore, we try to make it a point to stop by and pick up a supply of treats to take home. The Moio's cookie assortment box is always very well received in my D.C. office. The staff is always patient and friendly.

Great variety of single piece cakes to choose from. Have to visit very frequently though...too tempting. Just writing this makes me want to go and get some cake.

Moio's did my Wife and I's wedding cake in 2020. Now they have done our son's first birthday smash cake. Moio's are good people and have really good pastries and cakes. I would recommend them to anyone.

This was my go to Italian bakery when I lived in the area and it is now a must stop when we visit. I've been enjoying their baked goods for 10+ years and walking in still feels as special as that first trip.

My sister-in-law picked up a sampler for our dessert after dinner and everything was wonderful!

The selection of cookies were fresh and we especially liked the cherry Italian cookies and the carrot cake. I asked for the cookies in back as the ones in front were tiny and darker on bottom but they held true to get rid of what is in front first due to freshness. I may have been upset but I understand their consistency and determination to give what was made first so that nothing gets too old and wasted. Great baked goods overall.

Absolutely the best bakery in the area. Since I've moved downtown I STILL make the trip to Monroeville just for their lady locks. You will not regret a trip. Reasonable prices, kind and welcoming staff, and cleanliness!

I work at another bakery, this bakery is terrible. The quality of the product is just sad, we got fruit tarts for Father’s Day and when we opened our box the tarts were old and mushy. The cake I got was very dry and the pastries tasted old. I would not go back

Used for our micro-wedding: Just wonderful! They were able to accommodate our cake order even in the midst of the holiday madness that bakeries experience. We ordered a two tier cake and two cookie platters and have no complaints. The cake was delicious, we had a yellow and chocolate cake with raspberry filling and a buttercream icing. People were asking for more and where the leftovers were at even a few days after the ceremony. I have to give props as well for them being honest about what they could make for us that would stay and taste good (I had Pinterest ideas in my mind). I have a picture below for reference of the cake. Would definitely recommend.

We used Moio's Bakery for our wedding cake because it has been a favorite of ours for years and they did not disappoint!!! Our wedding cake looked absolutely beautiful and tasted even better if you can imagine! The classic wedding icing was delicious and the raspberry cream sheet cake for the guests was just as scrumptious! We knew that we wouldn't have to worry about a thing after meeting with Tony to decide on the cake and set up our delivery time and place. The entire process was seamless all due to Moio's skill and years of experience. We always feel like family when we visit the bakery or decide to use them for an event. The taste and service is beyond compare!

They nailed the cake decorating, and everyone complimented how the cake tasted. It was one of the things that made daughter's 16th birthday awesome. She wanted a stump cake with mushrooms and moss. After calling about 10 bakeries, Moio's was the only one that would take it on and for a reasonable price.
