We were staying in Jacksonville for the night. Applebee's was convenient to our hotel. It was mid-week and not busy. We were greeted right away, but there was a very funny, unappetizing smell, like dead seafood, permeating the entire place. Other than that, the place seemed clean, though well used. The waitress was nice. We ordered the 2 for $30 6 oz top sirloin dinners. Got our salads right away. Bowls filled to the top with iceberg lettuce, chopped tomatoes, shredded cheese, and croutons (house salad). My husband said his tasted like soap. The steaks were tender with good portions of potatoes and fresh broccoli. I had to give an overall of 3 stars due to the bad smell of the place. It did affect my meal a bit. This is my honest review. I'll also show pics of the menu we had for the last week of June 2023.

Very nice service ,easy parking lots and delicious food

Haven't eaten at this Applebee's in years due to poor food quality. We decided to try it again to see if that had changed as when it first opened, the food was amazing. Absolutely not! If anything, it's worse. I ordered the Cajun salmon, and it was so overcooked and dry that you had to cut it with a knife. My son and daughter had burgers that were the same way. The appetizer was okay at best, and the drink I had (Tipsy Reindeer) was so bad I left it. For the price of food when eating out, the quality needs to justify the cost.

The food was surprisingly mediocre. The service left much to be desired... hostesses although polite in a cold clinical way.. where not helpful nor inciteful about their own menus and drink.. the margarita was very strong and uninteresting, once u get past the alcohol taste there didn't seem to be much more then sugar syrup to stand for itself.. so don't order sugar on ur glass .. the food was disappointing.. ordered shrimp and 8oz sirloin w garlic mashed potatoes and coleslaw.. certainly not a meal I wish to eat again... slaw was so dry it was not very tasty.. had dishsoap flavor.. .. and 4 tiny shrimp ?... and no way was that 8 Oz parmesean crusted sirloin.. very unhappy.. and the 1/2 rack of fall apart babby back ribs required a knife to get anything off the bone.. very very unhappy 🙁

Stopped for lunch greeted and seated promptly excellent service from waitress food served quickly and correctly. I had the bourbon street steak excellent flavor and prepared perfect medium the steak was a bit tough on one side but overall a great experience. We will definitely stop again when in Jacksonville.

Karley Piper was our waitress, I absolutely loved her! She was very polite and she had a great attitude, no complaints from us at all. I think she deserves a Christmas bonus! We haven't had any service like that since Ponderosa!

This experience reminded me of why I haven't been to an Applebee's in years. After placing an online order and arriving at the scheduled pickup time, I was told to go sit in the back and my order would be brought to the pickup rack when it was ready. Over twenty minutes later, there was still nothing on the rack, and no help from any of the servers walking by. I finally walked back to the bar and asked a different server to check on the order, and it was located in the kitchen. Based on the cold temperature of the food, it had been ready when I originally asked for it. Even if the food had still been warm, though, it wouldn't have been good. Ingredients were missing, chicken was overly hard and chewy, and fries were bland (and cold fries are gross even if they are seasoned well).

I had a great late night dinner getting into town here. Service was quick with the menu and beer. I sat at the bar around 9 pm on a Monday. They have a great deal on burgers only on Mondays. Burger was nicely done at medium, sauce on side. Fries weren’t the best, but decent for sure. Glad i got here in time.
