Take the tour, but make sure to bring cash. The animals are great and the tour is a fun experience.

Such a cool experience! The animals were amazing and the tour hosts were super knowledge. Such a great cause for animals who would've died or been abandoned! We did the extra bear feeding and it was an awesome end to the tour.

We visited Wildhaven Ranch this afternoon. What an amazing experience. An absolutely charming director. Knowledgeable staff. Spectacular ambassador animals, including bobcat, golden eagle, and of course the bears. And they do the good work of rescuing injured native species and releasing them back into the wild. We definitely recommend a visit. We will be back.

Don't get me wrong, this place is awesome for what they do. I commend them for everything. But, many things need to change. First with online waivers to delay the 30 minute wait time just to park. Second, the curator needs to be put on an audio tape and edited. The whole process needs to be smoothed out, rehearsed, and better organized. The tour could be trimmed down a bit and a few more fresh upbeat faces hired to create stations for the animals. Also visual hot points on a sheet or a board by the cages. IMO it would be beneficial to cut out the long winded stories and preaching.

Wildhaven is a sanctuary for hurt or abandoned wild animals, where they are either rehabilitated and released back into the wild, or if that isn't possible, kept and cared for. It's obvious the staff (paid and volunteers) care deeply for the animals. They give tours by reservation, and the staff is very knowledgeable. I highly recommend a visit!

Loved the experience, they had the viewing of the animals set up nicely. It was very interesting. Loved the howling coyotes and how we have a better understanding of them now. We live in coyote country and have always hated the howling now that we understand it better it won't be so bad. I would definitely visit again.

My daughter and I had a wonderful experience visiting Wildhaven today. After watching both seasons of Alaska Wildlife Rescue, I wanted my daughter to see a rescue firsthand and Wildhaven doesn't disappoint. In fact, they even have a bald eagle from the Sitka Raptor Center which blew my daughter away. Wildhaven is a true gem with a very important mission. If you're in Lake Arrowhead, make it a point to visit and support this special place.

Great place to take the kids to learn about bears. and eagles. Followed CDC for social distancing during our tour.

First let me say that this llace is wonderful. All of the staff and volunteers were so knowledgeable, and we learned to much about different animals, it was amazing. I do feel it pertinent to mention that the majority of staff were overly friendly and considerate, and while the leader was very knowledgeable and very kind to the animals, she was extremely rude to the staff amd customers. I understand you have concerns about safety, and those comments were understood, but the belittling comments to staff and customers about things that were not safety related were uncalled for and made for an uncomfortable environment. Then while snapping at everyone else to be quiet, she sat right behind me in her gf cart and talked through the whole 1st bear exhibit so I couldnt hear anything they said. Aparently the rules on apply to some and not others. Dont let thos deter you from going, it was a wonderful experience, as long as you disregard the snide comments and make sure your kids dont get upset by them.

I lived in Lake arrowhead for most of my life, went here when I was younger, and had an amazing time, even participated in a pumpkin carving contest they held and won! I remember that the experience was inexpensive, and that they were open at least a few days a week. Now it's expensive, only available by reservation, and only open one day a week. Very sad because although I would love to bring friends when I visit, it's just not possible. For a town with very little to do, it used to be a gem.
