I have a severe phobia of dentists. Hence the reason I haven't seen one in 10 years. I picked the Smilist because of their 5star+ reviews- well they didn't disappoint. Lisa was amazing and very patient with me. Her voice was soft spoken and comforting and although I just met her- I TRUSTED WHAT SHE WAS TELLING ME!!! She made me promise to continue with my treatments and because of her calming spirit, she has given me the courage to pursue my treatments (although it will be with a specialist) but will also have to go back to see her when all is said and done. Thank-you for making an extremely hard experience comforting🫶🫶❤️❤️

I had an excellent experience with the dental hygienist, Victoria. She was very kind and friendly; took the time to explain her procedures and ask if I had questions. I went in for a deep cleaning and she was able to complete a full scaling and irrigation in one visit. Dr. Forman is no stranger to me, but I was happy to see how well this team worked together. Every aspect of this appointment from scheduling, to X-rays, cleaning, exam, and check out was thorough, professional and easy. I would definitely recommend this practice to anyone looking for skilled dental professionals.

Victoria is awesome. Best dental hygienist they have. If you’re someone who does not like going to the dentist, choose this place. Super easy to get an appointment with great staff.

The Smilist in Watagh is a great place for all your dental needs. The hygienist, Lisa and the dentist, Dr. Forman are excellent at what they do and I always receive the best care. The whole staff is warm, friendly, aa wwll as very professional.

Always a really good visit at the smilest! The front desk is very helpful, Lisa the hygienist is awesome. Dr Forman is the best. He went out of his way to get my root canal done after I told him I was getting a total knee replacement done the following week. I appreciate that very much! His only flaw is he is a Met fan! Just kidding Met Fans!! 🙂

This is honestly the best dental office I’ve ever been to ! All the staff from front desk to hygienist are so welcoming and friendly! Amelia is amazing! She did my cleaning and for the first time in my life I wasn’t in pain! She knows what she’s doing because I didn’t feel a thing! Dr Forman is also amazing fast and efficient painless . They don’t make you wait long you go right in . I will also add its very clean. Everyone here is extremely skilled and know what they’re doing . It’s also nice to see everyone happy and showing enjoyment in what they do . This is the first time in my life where I’m not afraid to come to the dentist ! It’s actually a breeze for me. They have made me feel so comfortable and reassured with my concerns. I had my tooth extracted and Dr pan was hands down the best !!! It was 1000% painless and he finished in 5 minutes or less . I highly recommend this office. I have nothing but compliments for them . Thank you !

10- The front desk staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating; my hygienist was skilled, efficient, and super sweet; the doctor was fun, and we had a nice conversation. It was evident to me that everyone is very happy to be working there and it shows.

Was having an issue with my tooth made an appointment for a consult and first time meeting them. I was under the assumption if I needed it pulled I’d be able to schedule an appointment to come back on a day more convenient for my schedule and that I’d be comfortable with their team. As I’m super nervous for dental visits and did relay that to them multiple times I’d prefer to have someone there with me. I was told he would not come in on a Friday (which is ok but) then they really got pushy for me to have the tooth removed that day I was super uncomfortable with the whole thing.

First time here at Smilist in July 2022 for a regular cleaning. They told me i needed a deep cleaning but will need to confirm with my insurance for coverage. They called me to confirm I was covered and scheduled me for 1st part of deep cleaning yesterday 10/10/22. On my way out, to my surprise Lisa the manager told me I have to pay 30% or 70% of the bill. I told her that the person that communicated with me told me that it is fully covered and that i will review it first and provide me a bill instead. I think this practice is a bait and switch tactic that they hope they can claim verbal confirmation but really did not provide such and then the manager, Lisa suggested that I should have confirmed it with my insurance. I agree with that now but I think the practice of making you think they have confirmed the coverage only to keep you blindsided with it until the procedure is done. I will not have my 2nd part of deep cleaning here and will not go back to this dental office. Just be careful with the office people.

Lisa the hygienist was so kind and gentle and respected my dental anxiety. She explained everything she was doing and made me as comfortable as possible. A much more pleasant experience than I’ve had in the past with other dental offices!

This place was amazing. Gentle and has an amazing bedside manner. I highly recommend dr Forman. He even played Pink Floyd while I was in the chair for 90 min. A+ and a big thank you.

I cannot boast enough about The Smilist in Wantagh! Dr. Forman’s work is phenomenal! From pulling a bad tooth, creating a beautiful bridge to bonding imperfect front teeth. My ‘Mona Lisa’ smile has now grown into a full-wide smile! I am proud of my teeth now and no longer hesitant to show them off! The staff, Lisa, Victoria and all, are remarkable! The dynamics of all the individuals create a very relaxing and cheerful atmosphere. I am actually looking forward to my future dental work!

It’s a clean and organized office. A great location in Wantagh and there is no parking issues. The staff are friendly and professional. A lot of reminders via text which are helpful and Victoria, the hygienist is very thorough and knowledgeable.

My son cracked a front tooth at football practice and I called the office late in the day. They were very kind and squeezed him in right away. Dr. Forman was very kind and friendly and made my 13 year old son feel comfortable. He had his tooth fixed in no time and it looks perfect!! Very happy with this office!!

The office staff was very welcoming, I was on time and taken in within 5 mins. The tech who did the X-rays was effecient and professional. Dr. was also very professional explaning what needed to be done along with two choices on how it could be done. I also liked the fact that the specialist I need comes to the same location. Again on the way out the office staff member that I spoke to was also very efficient and set up the appointments I needed with no issues at my convenience. looks like it going to be a great relationship.

After a previous bad experience I had with another practice, I avoided going to a dentist for years. I finally made the decision that it was time to see a new dentist. I found The Smilist through a brief search, after reading reviews, and of course location. At my first visit I was immediately greeted with warm welcomes. I met and laughed with the staff, who made me feel comfortable, and as if I had been a regular there for years. The experience was more than I could have ever asked for.

I’m always petrified of the dentist and Smilist made me extremely comfortable. The assistants held my hand, kept me calm while I had my wisdom tooth removed, and it was painless. They were also able to accommodate me at the last minute. Overall I will be switching my dental care to this office.

Wish I could leave negative stars. They lost 2 longtime patients without a care. Was told “Not sorry to see you go”. The receptionist are rude, nasty and unprofessional. An inexperienced hygienist (they can not seem to keep hygienists that long) cut my mouth gave me a swollen lip she wouldn’t stop when I asked her to do I got up to leave and she yelled at me. They did initially try to make it right by giving me another appointment with a different hygienist the following week and a free treatment (it was lie I never received it they kept cancelling appointments after that). I should have left, but I have been a patient for many years and did give them the benefit of the doubt (I was very wrong). In the course of a year they have cancelled 3 cleaning appointments on me the day before via text and when I call to reschedule I have to wait 3 months depriving me of a years worth of cleaning. The last straw was them telling me I have no insurance, which I do so I called my provider just to double check. Not only do I have insurance, but it was being billed every time they cancelled my appointment, and that “free” treatment I never received they billed for that also. I am absolutely disgusted with them and this unethical behavior. I have reported them for fraud, and now have to go through the headache of sorting out all the fraudulent billing charges so I can get a bi annual cleaning. Due to their negligence I have not had in a year, and because they billed me for them I am not entitled to one for another 6 months, which is crazy cause I had an appointment for Friday they cancelled. Luckily we found another dentist who has kind receptionists and is assisting me through the process. Double check what they billed your insurance for, I will never return. Avoid this place if you can.

The entire team at the Smilist Dental Wantagh is amazing! Everyone is so friendly and helpful that going to the Dentist, instead of being something to dread, has become something to look forward to (well, almost). My Dentist, Dr Taniya Minhas, is extraordinary! Dr Minhas is a problem-solver who explains everything clearly and patiently answers all questions. She is an asset to this practice. After years of severe fear/anxiety of going to the dentist, and having much work needing to be done…Gratefully because of Dr.Forman and the hygienist Victoria, I’ve been able to get all the dental work I’ve needed finally completed. Even comfortably get routine cleanings. The entire staff is always beyond kind and respectful.

Front desk staff was very nice. Victoria is a great hygienist. She is friendly, caring and extremely professional. We even shared fond family stories before and after cleaning. Dr. Forman is funny and has a good sense of humor. Had a very nice experience at Wantagh Smilist today!

I had a cleaning done and it was by far the best I have ever had. I had some pretty bad bleeding gums and after they finished my cleaning the next morning I brushed with no blood! They really take the time to clean every nook and cranny and made me feel super comfortable. Thanks again everyone at The Smilist!!!!

My appointment at The Smilist was for a cleaning. I was seen promptly by the hygienist, who was friendly, professional, & very competent. I felt like I was in really good hands. She thoroughly cleaned, polished and checked my teeth efficiently. Then, the dentist came in to check my teeth. He, too, was friendly & professional. I highly recommend The Smilist.

I switched to the Smilist in Wantagh a few years ago after not being very happy with a few other dentists I tried. From the very first visit I felt comfortable in the office and in very capable hands. Lisa at the front desk is so friendly, explains everything and is always ready to help. My husband and three sons all now go to this office and none of us have had anything but great experiences! I called this morning with an emergency issue and I was accommodated without hesitation. Dr. Hassan took wonderful care and was extremely gentle. All five of us are glad to have found the Smilist!

My name is Christina Hakim , I am very glad I chose Great Expressions Dental . Nate at the front desk was very kind and helpful . And I had the best X-ray tech Beatrice and hygienist Jamie, I could feel they did a great job and it was the best teeth cleaning I ever had done in my life . Dr. Arneja made me feel very comfortable and he was very nice, he explained to me what needed to be done on my tooth. I needed an old filling to be refilled I didn’t feel any pain and he did a very good job! And his assistant Andrea was very friendly and very skilled at assisting him. I had a very good experience here, I would recommend his practice.

Dr. Minhas is more than professional. She’s knowledgeable and courteous as well as skilled. I had a filling and a crown done by her.

Terrible experience with Dr. Forman, he was unprofessional, uncaring, aggressive and had a temper issue. He was using vulgar language in front of my child. He certainly was upset at something but that should not have taken over how he should be behaving in front of patients. If you go there, please avoid him. To all fairness everyone else was super nice.

I would highly recommend Smilist. The office staff are friendly and most importantly very efficient. They help with paperwork insurance etc. I had oral surgery and was very scared they made sure I was at ease and did a great job with the procedure. I would definitely recommend them.

I visited the Smilist in Wantagh for a checkup and cleaning, I had a wonderful experience. The staff is great, from the front office to the dentist! I’ve already recommended this location to my closest friends and look forward to returning which is rare because I am terrified of dental procedures.

I wanted to thank Nikki (hygienist) who worked on my teeth . I haven’t been to the dentist in 7 years . I am traumatized from an incident my brother had done to his mouth when he was younger . I walked in there nervous . Crying in my car and was afraid to come in. I made it in and sat in her chair and from the moment she started talking to me I felt calm. She was so great and patient. Dr. Forman is a great dentist, really takes his time with your mouth and knows what he is doing. He performed my first implant and I am completely satisfied and highly recommend him. I go to him for everything and he is extremely knowledgeable. And Victoria is the best hygienist there, she is awesome and really takes her Time to clean your teeth great.
