This place is phenomenal and also not over priced. It's definitely one of the best fast food restaurants in the area. It has just a couple of tables and stools inside and a few more tables for outdoor dining. They have hot dogs, hamburgers, gyros, polish sausage sandwiches, meatball sandwiches, Maxwell Street style sandwiches, as well as plenty other Chicagoland favorites. They offer a large variety of daily combo food specials at reasonable prices. I had the grilled chicken sub and it was delicious, definitely one of the best subs I had in a very long time. The chicken breasts were slightly charred giving it an amazing of the grill taste. The poor boy sub is also very good, but is not your typical poor boy sub. It's more like an Italian sub. Definitely not like the poor boy subs or sandwiches that you're used to from the Southern parts of the country. If you're in the area and hungry, looking for a place with no frills to eat, stop by and you'll be pleasantly surprised like I was.

Rumor has it that the ribs sandwiches are the best in the world🙆‍♂️ so I'm so looking forward to trying that and also loving that this place is reasonably priced❤ I love little cozy places like this so I'm so happy I came across this on Google Maps🥳 so I think you just found a loyal customer!!! Update for 2022!! Stopped in and prices are still great the staff is still friendly and I noticed a lot of people placing big catering orders🥙🌯🥪🥗🥤

Absolutely phenomenal spot. Located right on Roosevelt by downtown Wheaton. Easy access from Roosevelt or prairie path. Menu is a wide assortment of classic subs and Chicago favorites. Italian beef, Italian sausage, hot dogs, polish, burgers, meatball subs. Everything I’ve tried has been amazing. Fries are the finest in the area. Coke products. Super friendly staff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Hard to top this spot.

This is a perfect place to go for a humble hot dog or beef sandwich. They have our favorite gyros as well. It is not fancy. It is not expensive. It is like ordering from a hotdog stand in a park. They have some nice beverages to choose from like cantaloupe, pineapple, amd horchata..as well as a full soda fountain. It is also right off the prairie path sometimes the fam stops in on walks.

This a wonderful gem of a spot! It's not fancy food, but most of it is above average, and the prices/portion sizes are incredible, especially on their specials, and the service is amazing. Their burgers are so-so, and I am not a fan of their subs, but the gyros, chicken sandwiches (which are huge), and Polishes are all great. If you need a quick bite, go support this local business.

Great little hole in the wall place. Can't beat the prices especially considering inflation. The food quality was excellent. Hope this place never changes. It's so hard to find good little places like this that give you a real bang for your buck

First time here. Service was great, place was nice and clean. Ordered a sausage sandwich and a foot long Poor Boy. The sausage sandwich was excellent. Good flavor to the sausage. The sub was definitely a Poor Boy. Nothing fancy, flavor was ok. Skimpy on the meat. Took the foot long and put all the meat on one side. Ended up with a decent 6 inch sub. Will go back definitely for the sausage. The sub just need to order double the meat for my liking.

This place appears outdated, definitely needs a remodel inside. It felt run down and dirty to me and my 2 sons. The inside dining area is super small and crowded at lunch so we were forced to sit outside on the decrepit bench tables outside in a hilly terrain. The outside seat area seemed like a afterthought. Parking is terrible! The food was average, we had hotdogs and burger with fries. I was not impressed and would not go back.

This place was tiny and I just went once while far from home. Staff was really friendly. I was rushed and somehow missed the entire Po Boy menu and got a gyro, which was fine but not my favorite. I kinda kicked myself as i went FOR a Po Boy. Seems to have a pretty strong following. If you're a Mountain Dew fan, this place is on point. The couple open tables were filthy, unfortunately.

Great place - BUT - starting to "jack" prices (even on the monthly 'specials') now, and scrimp on other items. Long-time customers have to be noticing this. - We used to go out of our way to get their chicken salads, which just a few months ago had LARGE STRIPS OF CHICKEN on top. Now, the salads are $1 more, and the large chicken strips are gone - replaced by little bitty chicken pieces (probably from a can). Very noticeable, and wrong. We had been getting this for 3-4 years, and easily noticed the sudden change. - No more Lent fish specials. The previous few years, various fish-related items (fish sandwich, shrimp dinner package) were discounted during Lent. IE. The Shrimp dinner package the previous few years was $12.25, discounted to 9.99 during Lent. Not this year. Again, and the prices on these items are now more (Shrimp dinner package is now $13.25). As mentioned generally, we've noticed varying degrees of change here in just the past 6-12 months. Jacked prices, jacked prices on the monthly "specials" (to the point where they aren't even really "specials" anymore), and scrimping on other items - especially the salads. We have loved going here and supporting them, but will be going less now.

I think this was the first place I ever had gravy bread, over 20 years ago. It's pretty much as I remember it...delicious. I need to get back to try the full beef sandwich soon. I'm pretty sure I've only had the gravy bread. It can be tricky getting in and out with heavy traffic sometimes, due to its proximity to the traffic light.

Passed by here all the time so decided to try. Absolutely enjoyed! My pork chop sandwich was so good and the girl who took my order was so friendly. She even up and beyond to bring my order to my car once ready. I had every intention on getting out and picking up my order. I will definitely be back!

Can't say enough good things about this spot. The guy working the front is personable and truly gives a damn about how you are doing. They answer the phone quickly, are always accurate, and timing for orders is impeccable. The quality, quantity, and affordability is unmatched, especially post-pandemic price increases. I have had their fries, gyros, beef/sausage, and baklava. I could hope for more fries in an order but they are so good and fresh that I think it's more than fair. The hot peppers are actually hot here!
