I frequent this place downtown but this was my first time at the broad ripple location, ordered a bunch of takeout food for me and some friends, as you can see the double cheeseburger we ordered is clearly not cooked , highly disappointed. Now I have to second guess ever going here again …

The atmosphere was awesome! If you are looking for something good to eat and a very family friendly environment this is the place! I'm glad my wife found this gem. Definitely will be going back!

The food is just ok nothing special. The fries have a claim that they are "The best in the Universe" . If you make a claim then you need to back it up. Lets just say still raw potatoes no crispy fries just soggy and raw. Like a flash fry. The Chicago dog does not have that snap like a good Chicago dog should have. Not the best Chicago dog just an ok one.

Good food and service! Really enjoyed the fries, Mac n cheese, and Ghost burger. They have good portion sizes for the price, too!

We have seen reviews for Fat Dan's for a while and finally went. We ordered a few Chicago dogs, corn dog, mini corn dogs, Mac and cheese, loaded tots and loaded fries. The loaded tots and fries were amazing, the corn dogs and Chicago dogs were pretty good and the Mac and cheese was surprisingly good. The waiter was one of the better ones we've had lately. All in all, a good experience.

Amazing!!! Got wings and Bugar’s and both were amazing! The wings fell right off the bone. Will def be back huge menu!!

Best chi sports theme pub ever,food is top notch as i am from Chicago area. UPDATE ... 8/1/22 TODAY i ordered two chicago dogs ... never insult my intelligence and support ... what happened to rash of bacon or can you not order it on grubhub? SECOND those hot dogs you sent were not vienna beef dogs... its a very distinct taste and a bigger hotdog will not ever make it a vienna beef ,ill leave it at that ... dont ruin my fav bday spot almost 7 years str8.

Great casual atmosphere for families. The food comes out fast. The fries and tots are fabulous. Brisket sandwich is always a winner.

The first time I came I got the BLT with fries. Second time was wings and their homemade coleslaw. Portions are on the smaller side. Except for the fries, I got plenty of fries on my order. Food is descent. The sauces to choose for wings are your basic options. Customer service is a 6/10 maybe 7/10, their bartenders are not very attentive.

Little taste of Chicago here in Indy. The Italian beef can't be beat, I like it dry, but the dipped also looks good. Crowd is chill, I enjoy the window seats the best.

Came in on a whim with my 10yo cuz I been having a hankering for a good hot dog. There was football on and so I have to say it was VERY loud in there, requiring we had to yell to hear each other at our table, but we got used to it. The menu is going to satisfy if you are looking for meat on a bun in just about any combo, some very creative sandwich and burger options meant we ordered pretty much one of everything! All 3 of us were very satisfied with our food and agreed we would all like to go back. I wish they had more creative hotdog options like their sandwiches and burgers, but I loved all 3 of 5he burgers I tried! It's pub grub, it's dirty, it's loud... And it's delicious and good quality eats.

Loved this place! Swung in on Sunday to watch some Purdue bball game before heading to Hinkle to watch the Bulldogs and was pleasantly surprised! Plenty of beer options and their food offerings were great! Loved their beer cheese fries and smoked wings. The joint doesn't look like much on the outside but just go for some great food and super friendly staff! And the music selections at halftime of the game (late 80s/early 90s rap and rock) was right in my wheelhouse.

Tell Dan What He Can Do. He can keep doing what hes doing because I really enjoyed my visit, food and beer here. Mike was really great as the bartender/waiter and was knowledgable about their menu and beer selection. I had the Reuben and the best fries in the universe, and honestly the Reuben was maybe the best one in the universe I've ever had! It was great portion sizes and a nice hangout spot with good beer options. I had the cider and a cherry sour which were both great. My wife had the revolution peach sour which was also great and the east coast sub and the mac and cheese which she loved. Great food and beer options, a lot that are from Indy breweries as well. They did not have any porters or stouts on the menu at this time, but did have a couple brown ales I did not try. A darker beer would be welcomed with the deli meat as a good pairing if I had anything to critique. Really enjoyed this place and we will be back. Also #DaBears

Amazing as always. Good food. Good beer. Great staff. We always take our kids here for a quick dinner in and out if needed or you can stay and hang.

We’ve gotten the pleasure of living down the street from fat dans for two years. They’re the reason I’m sad my time in broadripple is ending because of how many times I could just walk in there, or call and place a takeout order and stop and meet them at the door with my dogs 😅 My family that comes from MN, and WI always makes multiple stops at Fat Dans when they’re in town. They have AMAZING FOOD! The wake n bake is a factories, so are their Chicago dogs! The You the Champ, champ fries are amazing too and the beer selection is pretty alright! The servers are the best part though! They’re so friendly and fast and keep us loyal fatties ❤️

We chose to sit outside and enjoy the nice evening. Our waiter was quick to greet us and patient as we chatted and looked over the menu. Oh the choices! The food tasted great and portion sizes were large. Fat Dan's is somewhere I will visit again. Give it a try!

This time I had the Italian Beef. You really can’t go wrong here. Wings, and the brisket are also in the rotation. One of my favorite spots in Indy.

Always a great place to eat. Stop by a couple times a month. They also have a big selection of beer. Will be making a weekend trip soon, you should too.

The atmosphere was very lively. It's a Chicago style of food and fun. The Smoked wings were DELICIOUS 😋 and the service was good too 🙂

Super busy when I went, and the food was amazing. Chicago food/tavern experience. The brisket sandwich and coleslaw was great. A lot of food.
