Wanted a quote for full carpeting in the basement. The guy who came and measured reeked of cheap cologne and cigarettes. Even though he was only there for a half-hour, the basement smelled like cheap cologne and cigarettes for 2 days. When I came down to look at his screen, he got visibly annoyed. Okay. Get the quote 2 days later. It's 1800+ sqft. That's odd, basic napkin math tells us it can't be bigger than 1300 sqft. Then they send us a new quote for 2000. The measurement magically increased 200 sqft. That's odd. They upped it without any explanation whatsoever. We measure the basement ourselves: came up with 1300 MAX. Measured it 3 times. Something is wrong here. Call the flooring dept. the lady is nasty and gets irate, even though i said it wasn't necessarily Lowe's fault. But perhaps the sub-contractor fault, the one that came out to measure the basement. Why is the lady nasty? Is she perhaps in on it? She hangs up on me, even though i was perfectly calm and said nothing bad to her. I simply said i suspected the sub-contractors of committing fraud in adding 700 sqft. I call the manager, he says he'll do something about it. Then I get an email from Lowes saying the quote was cancelled and asking me to do a survey on why I cancelled it. 2 weeks later, the manager never got back.

I hope anyone who orders something online and asks for delivery reads this review. Lesson learned the hard way. We were promised a fire pit the next day. Got a call re the order. They messed up and put it on a flat bed truck and it "can't go on that" so we would get it next day. Then crickets. Absolutely no follow through. We call a week later to see. We're told a note would be left and we would get called. What a shock to get NO PHONE CALL AGAIN. We call AGAIN. I was handed off to 3 different people who all gave 3 different answers that were of no help and were told we had to wait another 3 days by one person and another 5 days by the other. They're delivery is a 3rd party who clearly take none of their delivery services seriously. When I asked them about a refund or discount I was told I had to wait until my order was delivered. I'm sorry...what? And when I asked why we have to wait even more for something that was their screw up...no answer. OK done. ✌ never again.

Fully equipped store but the staff there lacking customer service skills!! Bought a stove, range and a refrigerator and half the time I was there waiting for assistance an employee was there on here personal cell phone over 20 minutes looking at us and didn’t even asked if we needed assistance. They need to do a lot better where customer service is concerned because it’s the customers that are spending their money to keep their stores open so they can have jobs!!!

I ordered a live plant last Thursday at the Bloomfield location and found the item while in the store the next day. The young lady at customer service was very helpful and canceled my order from the night before, to which I received a cancelation email. I came home from work Monday to find the item delivered at my door. Upon calling customer service I was put on hold 4 times without notice, and twice he cut me off mid- sentence while doing so. He told me they'd pickup Tues or Wed and to just leave the live plant outside my door. When asked if it would be Tues or Wed being it is live, he hung up on me mid-sentence. Then hung up on me twice when I called back, then the third time answered when I requested a manager and let it ring for 7 minutes. I called the alternate number and spoke with another young man who told me he had no idea who I spoke with because when he just got there no one was there. He then got all my info again and told me pickup would not be until Friday. Needless to say, I will call a manager in the morning who I was told was in a managers meeting then. This is terrible customer service and I have better things to do with my time

Let's see Lowe's versus the depot no I won't do that I want to say this Lowe's has everything in the depot has everything it depends on your type of store some people use Shell gasoline some people use Mobile gasoline and that's all they use there are committed to only those types of gas in their car. The same is applied here some people love Lowe's some people love the people I choose them both I am I'm not committed to one or the other they both have comparable prices they're both in competition what a selection everyone wins.

Was promised delivery of a large order 5 different dates over a 2 week span and still haven't received it. Every time I try to call and speak with a manager, I'm put on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes and then hung up on. Truly unbelievable and now a new tenant may not have appliances for their move in.

It took about half an hour for someone to help us cut and put the Christmas tree on our car. The service really had a lot to be desired.

The employees have always been helpful and respectful. The store's clearance section needs to be more accurate. I went to buy some saw blades they had listed on clearance. Naturally get up to the register and the tag didn't match the product that was located directly above the tag. Felt very much like a bait and switch style of selling.

I like Lowe’s, it is usually better organized and better staffed than the competition so I prefer to shop there. We got our carpet here more than a year ago maybe going on 2 and we are thrilled with it! We should have done it sooner! My daughter was almost 1, crawling everywhere and starting to stand and walk so the carpet gave her a softer place to land and that gave us one less thing to worry about! We shopped around and the quality carpet we got at our price point was amazing! No other place was even close when you took both of those things into account. They came measured and then came back and installed it for free. They did a great job and it has hold out great to my daughter and our 75 pound dog! *We just added carpet in 3 of the bedrooms. It looks great and again they did a great job!

Appalling customer experience. A "manager" meeting brought the entire store to a halt. Customers ended up trying to help each other because we were ignored by staff

Profiling black customer as always. I'm Black Lowe's Pro shopper. Spend thousands for work and personal use. I have a staffer literally next to me in aisle 4 as I spent 30 minutes deciding on door handles. So I was curious if it was just me being paranoid. Left aisle, and theyeft too. Nope, not paranoid. 30 minutes she's still standing next to me twiddling her thumbs. Gonna go for a record 60 minutes see if they will keep following me. Update....yes they're still at it.

I just went into Lowe’s and they literally tried to rip me off. They had a faucet on sale for 32.17. When I attempted to purchase the faucet , magically the price was $129. I spoke to the woman at the check out line and she had to get the department manager. His name was Jeremy and supposedly was the “plumbing manager”. I show Jeremy what the item was marked for and his resolution was to give me a 10 percent discount. My response is that I am a veteran so I already get a 10% discount. He responds with giving me a 15% discount for my “inconvenience”. His resolution was I should pay $109 for an item marked $32.19. I told him you aren’t doing me a favor by charging me $109 for an item marked $32.19. Obviously I didn’t take that offer and I didn’t get the faucet. The sign got immediately taken down. Companies should be acting in good faith. Jeremy did not act in good faith. I know Jeremy lacks integrity but I don’t know if that is just him or if he is embodying the core values of that store. Regardless, Lowes needs to do better and Jeremy needs to do better. Companies should not have leaders that don’t have integrity. This situations should have been handled a lot better than it was. Lastly this this incident took place on Veterans Day, I want to thank all the men and women who served in the military.

Good store. Doesn't have the little things you might be looking for like a specific faucet gasket. I miss the "older days" Hardware Stores. Somewhere where you can find a specific gasket or drain item. Remember? You only needed one specific sized socket? Not an entire set?

Sunday July 9th - Just went in and asked for directions to purchase a downspout extension. Lady acted as if I disrupted her in asking for directions. There was no store assistant visible helping customers on the floor and many of us needed help. Horrible. I left.

Called about renting a pickup truck and was left on hold and forgotten about. I showed up to the store and the customer service desk was severely understaffed. They told me the pickup truck was already being rented out, which wasn't based on actually checking their system/records, but based on one of them saying "I didn't see it out there" (in the parking lot). So I say no worries and leave, only to see the pickup rental in the lot clearly available and with no one using it. I don't blame them for not actually checking their system, since they were probably overwhelmed from the long line, and have little incentive to actually care about helping, but still frustrating. Could've easily been avoided if Lowe's had a better system for managing this kind of thing.

Very friendly, especially the guy picking up the shopping carts upon entering the store. Hello, how are you leaving the store? Have a good day. Well mannered gentleman

Was in the gardening department only. While I was standing in line to check out a young man who worked there offered to load my stuff in the car. He waited while I pulled my car up to the front and loaded everything in for me. Very pleasant and helpful. For the most part all my other shopping there (lighting, paint area plumbing, etc) has been a good experience. I have found most of the employees are knowledge in their area and know their way around the store.

I have purchased two washing machines from Lowes. Although there is nothing wrong with the appliances, delivery leaves MUCH to be desired. The problem is the people they have subcontracting out to deliver the appliances. They MOVE TOO FAST AND MAKE ERRORS! And don’t let you know! The first washer wasn’t hooked up right and my basement was flooded. I FINALLY was reimbursed for damages after months of leg work and multiple visits to the store! My recent experience has left a large gouge out of my wooden bannister and a gash in a door. The discharge hose was too short so I was left with a washer hooked up where I couldn’t close the laundry room door and couldn’t open the washers lid all the way. Fortunately I’m capable to fix this after me having to buy a new longer discharge hose. I’ll NEVER buy appliances from Lowes again solely based on very poor delivery experiences.

Customer service is not part of the floor associate job here, apparently. I needed an item that was in 2 locations. 1 was on a shelf that needed assistance getting it down, and the other spot was behind carriages of heavy products in the isle. I was told, "it's on the floor, find it over there." When I mentioned the carriges of product, that I cannot physically move myself (stacks of wood to heavy for me) she told me she couldn't help right now she is in the middle of something else, and left. So, I've left too, without making any purchase. Now I remember why I don't shop here, and I won't make the mistake of attempting it ever again.

Store is clean, well layed-out and stocked. Garden Center has typical popular items, but staff has limited knowledge of the plants and their needs and habits. Inside the store, while staff is more knowledgeable, it's difficult to find anyone to ask. It's always a challenge.

Went there to spend $2500 on a mower and bagger. After finding an employee with the ladder in the aisle I needed the bagger in he said he would call someone because it wasn’t his department. Waited. No one came. Went to customer service to ask to get someone to buy the mower and she paged someone. Waited 10 minutes. No one came. Good bye Lowe’s. Hello Tractor Supply.

Yet again this is a terrible experience. The store is dirty, a complete mess, and the employees are totally unhelpful in every way. Half of them were on their phones and could not be bothered to help - power tools area was a complete wreck... and the checkout was terrible. This manager needs to be replaced. I don't think I will be returning, which is disappointing since I worked at a Lowe's in KCMO for three years and it was the OPPOSITE of this location. TERRIBLE STORE.

We bought inexpensive boxes of tiles for the kitchen/dining room and some of the tiles were broken, some had no paper backing and under the same item number tiles of a different texture were mixed in with the tiles we chose. Once we started installing them there was no going back but now this has become our "temporary" floor and we will go to a flooring store when we replace. Never been so disgusted!

The customer service is always nice here. They try to help and if they can't they find someone who can. The store is clean. The tools I've borrowed and brought back are always on good condition. The price to rent is affordable and reasonable. Oh! The staff are knowledgeable of the area they are in. The cashiers are helpful and pleasant. Parking is abundant. There is always a cart. Gardening is usually tended to well. Inventory is usually stocked well. If I ask for something I've seen online they'll look in the back for be, which I appreciate.
