If you're looking for a hot shower, cold room with HBO on TV, and free hot breakfast this is it. Also Shuttles to the parks. Some friendly staff. Rooms aren't top notch with tub and toilet showing wear. Pool needs new furniture and a cleaning, parking lot could use cleaning. Computer and printer provided and small convience "store". Many Restaurants in walking distance. Overall decent.

I liked the dove wash in the shower. Nice dispensers. The staff was very kind and prompt with sll the services you would expect to be offered. We also has a free shuttle to and from Busch gardens. The driver Rick was a very kind man who definitely made our experience at the hotel a lot better. All around I would recommend this hotel to any family.

It's unfortunate that this location is located next to a place called the Tampa Inn. Trust me nothing good is going on over there. The property has a gym, pool, morning breakfast, and the rooms are fairly updated. The keycards for the doors do not work well. The housekeeping crew doesn't not vacuum the hallways well. The pantry has a few snacks, candy, and ice cream. The staff was polite and friendly during my stay. There is an Olive Garden next door, and a Red Lobster is just a 30 second walk past the Olive Garden. Don't eat the Popeye's the service sucks. The area needs to be cleaned up by the city, and Busch Gardens needs to paint and repair the green exterior walls. This area should be really nice, but only the Holiday Inn and Hampton are the only decent things in this stretch of Busch Drive.

Traveling with a minor child a few hours away from home. Safety an the ability to be comfortable is a must when we travel. This location is welcoming. I requested a higher level floor with the ability to see the the the nearby theme park an it was provided. Easy check in cozy clean room with working wifi. I haven't had to drive anywhere as many local restaurants are nearby. However, the shutter service is a big hit! Thank you for this service we were dropped off and picked up immediately upon calling.

We enjoyed our stay during the Busch Gardens Howl-O-Scream event. Our shuttle driver, Rick, was Fantastic! Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The breakfast was also very good. The man that checked us into our room was awesome! He was very polite and efficient. Unfortunately, the woman that was working when we checked out on Friday morning, 10/28, I thought was rude to the guest that asked to have the pool gate unlocked since it was already 10:30am. We will stay at this Hotel in the future.

Great location, clean, friendly, free breakfast, heated pool. Rick, our shuttle driver, was so friendly, helpful, and kind. He never kept us waiting. 4 stars is because housekeeping never made our beds. Yes, we always loosely made them, but 3 nights... I should have asked. Holiday Inn is always a solid choice.

We had a great weekend. We were there for a football game and it was only 20 minutes away from the stadium. We didn't visit Busch Garden but it was nice to know that it was so close to the hotel in case we want to go someday and wish to stay close by. The area around the hotel was noisy and it was hard to sleep but that's not the hotels fault. The staff was great. Keke at the front desk was extremely nice and her customer service was awesome! The housekeeper was nice. The maintenance guy that came to open the safe was courteous and the check out staff was sweet. We were overall satisfied with our stay and we recommend it.

Found myself here for a job interview due to maps giving me East instead of West bush Blvd. Staff at front desk notified me about not having a suite 140! Panic mode!!! Beautiful Lady at front desk immediately set my mind at ease letting me know MAPS causes this error frequently. She was very professional and even sold me on staying there instead of hotel next door! Lol....I wasn't even there for a room! Overall nice environment and clean. Staff friendly, professional, very helpful, excellent at multi-tasking, and customer service! Please give this lady a raise guys! She deserves it! Thank you Holiday inn! If I ever make it to bush gardens, this will be the place I stay! Awesome work!!!👍

Friendly night reception, outside was inviting but on further inspection there was trash and cigarette butts on the ground and in the bushes. I agree it’s a bit sketchy neighbourhood, though you have Olive Garden, Taco Bell and Burger King within sight of hotel to walk to, can drive to Chilis and Chick-Fil-A and other restaurants near campus. Agree that the carpet is a bit dingy and looks like it needs a vacuum in the hallway. The bathroom is roomy and good space to hang towels and such, hot hot showers and Dove products. Good lighting and comfortable beds. We are on a main road but quiet with the A/C that outwardly looks broken (see photo) but the room is cool. But as most chose this location as within sight of Busch Gardens and has a free shuttle and breakfast. It might be nice if the staff parked in the back as I saw one of them sitting in their car out front. There is limited parking in the well lit parking lot in the front but the back doesn’t feel as safe if you arrive at night. There is lighting and a couple of cameras on the back door and side parking lot. The breakfast choices were amazing with veggie egg white omelet and turkey sausage and regular, pastries and bagels, toast, muffins, fruit. Also my daughter loved the automatic pancake maker. Yum!! Originally 3 stars but put up one star after second night both morning staff were wonderful and gave my daughter a little stuffed animal upon check out. Love service with a smile. We will be back.

Tera at the front was amazing as well lots of energy and happy to be at work which is amazing feeling to be welcomed too. Stayed here for a few days. It's not the best neighborhood. However, the room was nice and clean. It was quiet for the most part except for the nightly fireworks at Busch Gardens. Free breakfast had a nice selection of choices. Staff was friendly, too. The downside is that there isn't much to do other than the amusement park, and you have to request room service.

Staff was super friendly, Rick is a great shuttle driver, fast and safe. Tara was great checking in very friendly. Room was good nice and clean. Close location to Busch Gardens and shuttle is available. Breakfast in the morning. Some restaurants located around the hotel. Breakfast had a handful of options available hot or cold. Check out was easy.

We decided to stay at this hotel because it is located right next to Busch Gardens. The room was super clean, breakfast included was fine! The front desk girl Keke, she was such a sweetheart on our check in, she made us laugh and definitely makes you feel welcomed. I want to say special thanks to Rick too, the shuttle driver. He was so kind and we had to come back earlier than we thought from the park because it was raining a lot, he recommended us to go to Guest Services at the park to ask for a Rain Check to see if they could give us new tickets and before driving back home we stopped by the park and asked for it and we got new tickets to use for a year thanks to him! It was such a good experience.

Not by choice as my house was being worked on, but I've had the pleasure of staying at The Holiday Inn Express with my 3 dogs for over 3 weeks and have found the staff to be excellent. The front desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is great! The room is clean and well equipped. I treat the room as I would my home as having pets as it's nice they accept pets for us pet lovers. I'd highly recommend HI. Located near alot restaurants and stores and across from Busch Gardens. Thanks HI for being so accommodating. Sharon

Remember to use HotelDully.ᴄᴏm when booking your room. This web site will compare thousands of booking websites and typically will have rooms a lot cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This resort is the best rated in the area. I have been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure will love it I'm sure! First and foremost: the staff is excellent. The cleaning staff is top notch, just lovely people. And the receptionist desk has a star in the young woman with the long multi-colored braids: she is excellent. The shuttle driver, Rick: is accommodating and super nice; our other shuttle driver: Tyrell (I think that’s his name, young man with an accent) was funny: both of them were superb, easy to reach and fast.

We stayed at this location because it was close to Busch Gardens. The suite we stayed in was nice the only problem was that the room safe was locked and couldn't be open. I would suggest that you put a notice in your rooms that the room safes remain unlock if your guests doesn't use it. It's wasn't nice to have it locked. The second floor hallway was warm two days and their was no A/C flowing in the hallway near the elevators.

The room was very large, as in very very spacious large! Very clean the bathroom is very clean! Sink/vanity was very clean! Barefoot on the carpet felt very clean non-sticky. And I don't like going barefoot in what I would consider private but public floors. But like I advise before the carpet with felt very clean and did not stick. Kevin the night registration man was very informative. Gave extra information On which after hours doors to enter were locked. And advise the back door to the building when unlock with the key card which was true. Service I did not use so I'm not giving a rating but I would presume it was five. Kevin the night clerk was a five White sheet and blanket white was very clean. The cleaning on the sheet and blanket is the key to every room. I did not seem to find any stains on the bed from prior spills.

Location was good. Kids could see the rollercoasters from the room. Pool area was ok; No towels and not much seating. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Shuttle was great. Room was spacious but not clean. Spill stains noted in fridge, sock under the bed, and rust stains on tub.

The hotel was in great shape but the best part was undeniably the receptionist, Terra. You can tell she loves her job and she is a light of energy and happiness every time we passed by the reception. She made our trip ten times better just after two conversations. An amazing worker and person.

The shuttle driver, Rick: is accommodating and super nice; our other shuttle driver: Tyrell (I think that’s his name, young man with an accent) was funny: both of them were superb, easy to reach and fast. We had a leaky ac unit in our first room, so they had to change us to a room with some minor issues: they did their best to fix things, but it is the reason for 4 stars. But they also gave us a small discount, without asking for it, because of the room issues. I would recommend a 30 minute extension on breakfast, for us late sleepers - but the breakfast had hot items: sausage, eggs, pancakes & cold: yogurt, fruit etc. And though the pool needs a couple umbrellas: it is a nice addition. I highly recommend this hotel for the staff alone. Top notch people.

We just stayed there this past weekend 16-18 I have to say the rooms are ok the pool is nothing like they show. We got the bottom floor suite with a pull out couch. The mattress on the pull out was dirty and stained that looked like pee . I went to ask for a roll a bed and was told they only had a pack n play . Like what kinda of hotel doesn't have a roll a bed ? Anyway other than that the stuff was nice and we loved Rick that shuttled us to and from the parks . The conditioner in the bathroom was soap not conditioner and it definitely wasn't dove . They refill.the bottles with different soaps definitely not dove . Also before leaving for the parks we were told we were putvon the list for house keeping and even left them a tip ,well when we came back the room was the same . The house keeper never showed up so no new towels or toilet paper soap ect . We probably won't book there again .

I love IHG, I have been a member for years, Holiday Inn Express are always the cleanest, best maintained hotels, however I have noticed a few changes that are disappointing. 1. Bacon has been eliminated from free breakfast. This is understandable. People were hogging the bacon (sorry for the pun), they would pile their plates with strips and often throw them in the trash whole, II saw it. Bacon is expensive! I can just see the IHG board meeting presentation, “if we eliminate bacon, profits will increase by 8 per cent.“ I would rather they eliminated the cinnamon buns, those will put anybody in a diabetic coma. 2. This location has a Television channel lineup that SUCKS!! This is NOT UNDERSTANDABLE!!! They have a thing called Spectrum TV which basically takes local broadcast TV and presents it as cable. I AM NOT FOOLED!! Half the channels were infomercials the other half were televangelists! Old Charles Stanley kept glowering over my private activities!! No MSNBC, no Fox News, not even lowly CNN. I wanted to watch the NBA East Conference final on ESPN and rushed to my hotel to watch the last quarter but I WAS BLOCKED!! No ESPN!! What the heck?? WHAT happened to Free HBO and pay per view? Even Motel 6 has a better lineup. Board meeting: “If we eliminate cable and even the slightest possible sex reference, more families will stay with us.” WRONG!! These kids want Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon!! We want our MTV! Even if their only show is Ridiculousness any more. Fix this!

Perfectly good hotel! Delicious, hot free breakfast, and this hotel has little buses that can take you to Busch Gardens straight from the hotel free of charge! The rooms were clean, the pool was nice, and the service was very friendly. We had a very good stay here while visiting Busch Gardens.

I booked last minute and paid a decent price especially when considering that I had my dog with me. It's pretty clean but it is packed all the time. If you can get over that, it's an affordable option to stay while you are visiting Busch Gardens. The immediate area around the hotel is probably something you want to take a little caution with.

Our stay was AMAZING . staff was super friendly and pancakes were delicious! RICK was our shuttle guy ( AKA THE BEST TOUR GUY) to take us to both parks and back! he was ready for us to go and would be there less than 5 minutes when we wanted to leave. he went above and beyond for us to have an amazing stay. he told us some great places around this hotel to do. His personality really topped the icing on this place . 100/10 will stay here again as long as he is around ! - from his favorite people , tori and ken ❤️

Okay, let's start with this... I'm big on reviews, so I hope this'll help you. I'll be honest, just west of the hotel is going to make you think, "oh, hell no!" But honestly, the area changes the further east you go. The hotel was decently maintained. The room met my expectations, minus the carpet. It could use a nice shampoo treatment or two, and the tub and toilet could be replaced or refinished, but other than that I have no complaints. The hotel staff were kind and professional, and the breakfast was decent. I really have no complaints. I'd stay there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Holiday Inn and I must say, it was an excellent experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and welcoming demeanor of all of the staff, including Marv, the sales guy! The hotel was immaculately clean and well-maintained, thanks to the amazing professional and kind women who keep the place so fresh and tidy. We came from next door at the Tampa Inn where our room had blood stains, so anything was better. And let me tell you, the Holiday Inn was not just better, it was peaceful. The room was spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities we needed. The breakfast in the morning was fresh and delicious, it was a great start to our day. Ricky, the shuttle driver from the hotel to the theme park was very helpful and took us to the park with ease. It was very convenient and saved us a lot of time and hassle. Overall, I would highly recommend the Holiday Inn to anyone looking for a comfortable and clean place to stay. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, and we couldn't have asked for more. Thanks!!

Can't say enough good things about the service from this crew and a big shout out to TJ for that extra go to mile. This place is in an awesome location....close to Bush Gardens about 10 min, also within walking distance to fast foods and sit down restaurants. All in all if you're looking for a nice hotel with comfy beds, nice hot breakfast, and great service this is the place.

We had a great stay here at holiday inn express! Was quite and the staff was amazing the lady up front in the mornings was the absolute best. She was so sweet and made us feel very welcome. The shuttle to busch gardens was very convenient and nice! Will definitely stay here again!

This hotel needs to be shut down and remodeled. I arrived on Thursday morning the staff was friendly however, when I got to my room there were stains in the tub (which could definitely come out with bleach and a good scrubbing). They told me it was an old tub but no those were dirt stains okay no problem! Then the refrigerator was filthy like someone was an extended stay and housekeeping didn’t even bother to clean. There were stains on the carpet (kool aid or something). The towels and bedding was also dirty there was a significant amount of stains on them. Oh but wait there is more, we opened a cabinet and found roaches not 1 but at least 3. Not to mention one was crawling on the bed. At this point I was fed up and asked for a refund and checked out. When doing so the manager didn’t ask any questions or anything seems as though this routine for them.

This hotel is the WORST hotel I’ve EVER STAYED at. I paid to stay here for two weeks. They only came to clean my room one time! I requested to have my room cleaned day in & day out. The first week it happened Jim apologized & said he would correct it. The second week I kept requesting service they kept saying they were busy. Then the maids started lying & saying they came in my room & changed my trash & put new towels. I was using the same towels for TWO WEEKS. The maid became very aggressive when I told her that wasn’t true & she started getting closer to me & more aggressive. The LAST STRAW was on the last two days I left my hotel the WHOLE day so they can clean my room. I came back & my room was still dirty. I called the front desk right away & they told me that they didn’t clean my room because the do not disturb was on my door. I was so confused & angry I told him that it wasn’t because I specifically took it off so I can get cleaning service. He kept telling me that it was in fact on my door & his manager seen it personally. I started busting out in tears with frustration and hurt that they would lie to me & say these things. It was a service that was DESPERATELY needed there was no reason for me to lie. I feel as if either the maid & the manager are liars. Or the maids went into my room & switched the do not disturb on my door & ran & showed the manager. I feel taken advantage of I did no wrong to These people I was kind & patient when they couldn’t clean my room. They just kept calling me a liar & I felt like I was defeated. To make matters worse I checked out on the day I was supposed to. I checked my bank because my card kept declining, the hotel was trying to process an unauthorized $1,100 purchase on my account NUMEROUS days after I checked out. All I can say is stand clever from this place. I’ve never in my life been treated this way. The maids are super lazy! I cannot believe within two weeks I got my room cleaned ONCE & how they were all in on it & lied!

Good service at all times. Our room door had issues and the front desk personnel resolved it in a very nice professional manner. They have a complimentary shuttle that takes guests to Busch Gardens which is very convenient!

The lady at the front desk was awesome. She made sure we were well taken care of. The breakfast was good as well. No alcohol sold because it was an expeess hotel. Besides that all was clean and employees really cared how the atmosphere was inside the hotel.

Absolutely filthy nightmare, weed smell on first floor next to front desk!!! roaches, water faucet barely worked and room was dirty. Thank god we checked in early from our Busch garden package to cancel our full trip and stay. Staff toolk down our complaint but nobody could help. The amount of weed smell around families was just horrendous. How does holiday inn allow this? Disgusting and horrible management on this location. Disputing this with corporate. Find a hotel farther away this hotel is disgusting and staff was just incompetent. We had no choice to stay with kids and small dog but can’t wait yo get home.

Let me start by saying that we went for three days. We ended up staying only one day, or one night. My husband has a medical condition, the day we arrived, he started to feel bad, so we decided to leave the next day. I asked to speak to the manager, Because maybe I could receive some money because I wouldn't be there both nights. To my surprise, he immediately told me... I'm very sorry about your husband and yes we can help you. I'm very grateful, in addition to the customer service, breakfast, cleaning everything perfect. PS even if they had not returned anything to me, I still say that the hotel is perfect

In 30 years of travel, I have never seen a dirtier hotel. The carpet was so filthy. Stains everywhere. Had to change socks multiple times a day. The water pressure in the bathroom sink was so low, you could barely get any water. Dirt marks on the floor, lobby, everywhere. And the area is not very safe too. Horrible place

Had the best stay here! Only one night but will definitely stay here again next time we come to Busch Gardens. The front desk staff was always so friendly and kind. The shuttle bus driver Rick was hilarious and always on time! The hotel interior is very clean and our room was nice and cold. Great stay! Didn't get to try their breakfast or pool but both also looked great. Lots of great restaurants and stores in the area. Thank you for the great hospitality!
