Brought my son here last night 8/23/23 because he has had a fever going on 4 days now, they did nothing but suction his nose, give him Motrin for the fever and tested him for Covid which was negative. NOTHING ELSE. No bloodwork, no chest X-ray, no fluids NOTHING. Here we are, Thursday night 8/24/23 at st Josephā€™s hospital in Tampa and they did a chest X-ray on my sonā€¦ my son has pneumonia in the right lung! Wow all childrenā€™s. How could you all miss that? So negligent and careless. I donā€™t recommend this hospital for anyone!!!!!

Me and my girlfriend came to baby place to meet her nephew who had just been born. Upon walking in we were greeted by TWO highly unkind security officer. Both were very rude and unprofessional. This gentleman was talking down on us in a very demeaning way. I understand security. I actually love that there is a security checkpoint upon entering. However being belittled and laughed at in a rude manor is completely unacceptable during such a joyous time as birth. Highly recommend the hospital management gives both of these men a talking too. They are obviously power hungry men who abuse theyā€™re badge to think they are something more than security guards. Seriously Iā€™ve had more respect from law enforcement than this security staff. who does not belong in such a positive environment. I will try to get his name when we leave so I can enter it in this post. Other then this gentleman the hospital is great. Nurses amazing as well.

Iā€™ve had mixed experiences at this hospital but the one I feel the need to let others know about is for those who have uncircumcised boys. The doctors at this hospital are not up to date on caring for intact children. The emergency room doctor told me multiple times that I should be retracting my infant son. Why is it 2022 and we are still not teaching doctors proper intact care??? Only reason I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 is because the nurse was really nice.

Our son was diagnosed here after 10 months of missed diagnosisā€™sā€¦now we are here for Surgery. This hospital seems to be well staffed and everything is organized. Learn to order food for the patient before youā€™ll need it and you will thank me. Great facilities and nice views from all floors!

Looking at some of the negative reviews and I am honestly surprised. This is by far the best hospital I have ever been to. Our son had a nasty rash and trouble eating or drinking when we came in. We didnā€™t wait long and they ran a ton of tests to be sure he was okay. All the nurses and doctors were so kind and attentive. We ended up having to stay overnight but we werenā€™t prepared at all. The nurses ended up bringing me clothes, toothpaste, tooth brushes, deodorant, shampoo, conditioner, basically anything I needed. Then they had a place called child life specialist that brought us more stuff that we needed. It made staying overnight so much easier and less stressful. Both our son and us were taken care of. I am so grateful to have been at this hospital in this scary time. 10/10 recommend

They will talk to you disrespectful then play victim when you're trying to get refills for your child. I was told not to return to their facility because they feel they are better than the next. They will call children services for any reason trying to put you in a situation. Yet it's all malpractice and they make tons off pretending to care or cure a child. Yet thanks to the risk management man who called and instead of listening made his decision by what the nurse said when the calls were supposed to be recorded. But over the years they've been getting worse and by the way their staff treats others it shows they are going downhill. A few bad apples spoils a whole organization.

We were very blessed!! amazing hospital with great staff and professional doctors. Cristina from the international care department was super sweet and kind. Dr. Jallo removed an intermedullary tumor from my daughter's back, his skills and personal approach are unbelievable. We really recommend this hospital.

We went to this hospital because of its reviews. The waiting room was practically empty, and we were seen pretty quickly. We met the absolute best nurse ever, nurse Robert. He was absolutely a pleasure. He was so comforting to us when we were dealing with our son having very labored breathing. After being sent to the ER, our son was given a breathing treatment. He finally napped and sounded better, but his pulse ox kept dropping. After a few hours, they were going to discharge us. Right as Robert came back with the paperwork, our son started having trouble breathing again, and Robert agreed. He went back to the doctors who gave another breathing treatment. An hour after that treatment, they determined he was ok to go home. I didnā€™t feel comfortable and wasnā€™t very happy that after only an hour this time, he be discharged with no monitoring, but they assured me to come back if he started having trouble again. The next day, he still wasnā€™t breathing right, and I took him to his pediatrician, who referred me to another hospital. Our son was hospitalized for 5 days, and got worse until he got better. He was using 50% supplemental oxygen. I am happy with the staff I encountered at this hospital, but not the doctors we saw based on the fact that our son shouldā€™ve been admitted earlier. Otherwise, it was a clean hospital.

Our RN Nikki (from Cincinnati) was amazing! So thoughtful and went over and beyond making sure my daughter was comfortable during her stay. Dr Erick, Dr Alexander, Dr. b and Dr edward- also all fantastic.Nurse Shelby- I could write a review on her by itself. Amazing, calm, patient, funny and as sweet as any human being could be. My daughter loves her! I hope the superiors of those Iā€™ve listed see this review and do a little something special for these stand out souls. Now, letā€™s talk about BS policy. Donā€™t come here if youā€™re a single parent with not many resources for help with other children besides the patient. The hospital couldnā€™t care less if you have limited help to care for other minors- either find someone or basically leave even if the patient is undergoing treatment. While most of the staff here is super caring and compassionate, those who enforce this stupid policy are lacking. While I can understand if other children are wild or someone comes in with several children, but this policy should be a case by case basis.

My 7 month old had a blood infection and will be hospitalized for a total of 10 days. It was terrifying for a while. The nurses, doctors and all the teams are great! Very informative, professional but playful and sweet with my son, and everyone is very comforting and has taken great care of us. Seriously weā€™ve been here for 6 days so thatā€™s 4 nurses a day, a few different doctors, plus IR and ID teams, and havenā€™t met a person I didnā€™t like or even love! They all really seem to enjoy theyā€™re jobs and love kids here on the 8th floor! <3 The only problem I had was the cafeteria staff. HO. LY. COW. ARE THEY NASTY PPL. Every day! It really put me down in a time when your emotions and nerves are already shot. The only relief you have is going down to the dining area and getting food and they made it suuuck. Just order your food fast, put your head down and pay the cashier. Do not expect ANY kind of friendliness or even a smile from that department. Wild. Like robots that will actually scream at you. Maybe just order room service! But the hospital was fantastic - no complaints about what was truly important! ā€œOur goal with every encounter..ā€ blah blah Iā€™m not going to address this In patient feedback bc itā€™s not important enough, this review section is a better place to mention it.

I can't begin to thank All Children's for all that they did for my child and the support and care that they gave to us. Every staff member that we interacted with were exceptional. Our son received excellent care and we are so grateful to everyone. I believe that the majority of businesses out there could learn a lot by observing this hospital. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all that you did to help my boy.

We are very grateful Dr. Snyder for the professionally performed surgery in John's Hopkins Children's Hospital! This is a very good hospital and all the staff here are very polite and friendly. They know how to work with kids! Very large cafeteria with very tasty and not expensive food! Personal thanks from our daughter Amalia Popova. God bless you all!

We can not say enough good things about our sons surgery and stay at John Hopkins. For the first time in years we had a doctor who truly listened to our concerns. Our son now as an improved quality of life thanks to Dr. Smithers. He and his team are nothing short of phenomenal. The entire staff during our hospital stay were very caring and attentive. We came from out of state and are hoping our story will reach others. We will forever be grateful.

I couldn't happier with the care and treatment my 2 year old received at Johns Hopkins. The nurses and care team where so kind and helpful before, during, and after surgery. The play areas are also clean and a nice break from the hospital bed. I felt informed every step of the way - where to go, updates on my kid, and how long the process will take. Lastly, the facilities where clean and the food was good! Thank you all so much!

My family is here on vacation and we took our 1 year to the ER last night for prolonged high fever, not drinking fluids, and being lethargic. It was 0200, but they were quick to get us straight back and then once in the room they were quick to see us and care for our son. They were nice, professional, and very helpful.

Unfortunately my baby is a frequent Flyer in the hospital do to kidney failure and I travel hours to bring him to All Childrenā€™s. They have been amazing from the start. Always making sure he receives the best care and keeping me informed of everything has it comes up. Thanks to all the Doctors, nurses, techs and support staff. And take it from someone who lives at hospitals the food at All Childrenā€™s is definitely the best for the kids and the parents.

The people at John Hopkins are amazing. My son had to get surgery, he is 7 years old. I was a very nervous mother waiting for anesthesia to come take him and roll him into surgery. I actually felt at ease when they took him back. I knew he was under the best care. The surgeon was fabulous, walked us through everything! How to care for him after. He woke up great and they had everything he could have needed after waking up from surgery. This place is amazing!!

The staff that helped both of my grandsons through the surgeries were exceptional. They went above and beyond their job titles and treated us as humans and not numbers and for them I am grateful. The doctor that performed the surgeries was so gentle, comforting and knowledgeable in all that my boys needed. I appreciate John Hopkins and feel safe and confident that they do all in the best interest of my boys. Thank you, Their Grandma Evelyn Schultz

They found my daughters back tumor and addressed it immediately. The surgeon was amazing. Their team is astonishing. From the nurses to the neurosurgeon 10 out of 10 I would recommend. They treat these kids like they are their own, and they are very empathetic.

I will give the staff that helped my daughter and I today 5 stars but for the Doctor who came in and told us that my daughter had an upper respiratory infection and after telling her that my daughter threw up today and had a sore throat decided to decline my wishes that my daughter NOT be tested for COVID!! I asked 3 times for my daughter to be tested and her response was she doesnā€™t have the symptoms and your wasting your time. Since when does a doctor (Normalize Rodriguez) have superpowers to know if your kid has COVID or not? Being in the medical field she totally contradicted herself by diagnosing my daughter with upper respiratory infection and I guess the fact that my daughter threw-up didnā€™t count. This doctor had very bad bedside manners and the only reason I am putting this on here is for those who might experience the same. Funny how 2 years ago the hospitals and every CVS and Walgreens was basically throwing the tests at you, NOW you have to argue with a doctor to get one done. Makes no sense what so ever!!! The service took place in the ER and the doctor that was rude was a female Dr by the name Normalize Rodriguez!!

Really loved our experience at All Childrenā€™s when our daughter had to go in for a procedure and be put to sleep. Everyone made us feel so comfortable including our 3.5 year old daughter. Iā€™m giving 4 stars instead of 5. The reason is all the nurses we encountered were extremely friendly and so good with our daughter except two. The other two nurses one being the one to wheel our daughter back into the OR and the other was with her during recovery werenā€™t rude, they were certainly professional, they just were not ā€œfriendlyā€ and didnā€™t give me that welcoming feeling the others did. However we did enjoy our experience here. Somethingā€™s in this hospital could definitely afford to be updated as well.

What an amazing experience! Truly appreciate every nurse and doctor. Amazing team there. So friendly and caring. Very thorough without overkill. They did not rush. They took their time with my child when they very busy. Best hospital experience I have ever had! Thank you to all!

My baby went in for surgery with Dr. Snyder at 7 months old, mind you he was born prematurely at 2 lbs (small 7 month old that looks about 4-5 months). Dr. Snyder and his team conducted the surgery perfectly! My baby wasnā€™t even in pain the following day. You could tell how gentle they were with him. I love All Childrenā€™sā€” but especially Dr S and his team for taking such good care of my little one.

Love love love this hospital and the outpatient centers as well! My son is seen by one of the neurosurgeons, Dr. Akbari, and he has been wonderful! always kept us informed on what was going on, and what the next steps were. My son just went in for surgery and the neurosurgeon along with the nurse practitioners and the pediatric nurses made things a lot easier for us and gave us peace of mind! would definitely recommend! :)

Johns Hopkins was awesome! Every worker in the hospital was compassionate, nice and friendly. The nurses and doctors was great and very knowledgeable. I literally couldnā€™t have asked for a better experience!!! I would give this hospital 5 stars always!!! My daughter had scoliosis surgery I went in nervous but soon. Felt like we were at home.

The whole experience for me as a special needs parent , and for my son, was amazing! Every staff member was kind, patient, understood our unique needs. Communication was wonderful. I had child life involved and they even provided us with sensory needs that made my son more at peace. The hospital is NOT the closest childrenā€™s hospital to me, but I will make the long drive again if needed-for sure!

My son is 13months and we were transported there for the first time. We loved the hospital everything about it. Staff was super nice and friendly, they loved our little guy. The food in the cafeteria was pretty decent & priced very very well. They have tons of different stuff for your kids to do if they get admitted. Crafts, toys, and free food for patients. They made our stay very comfortable and the most at home that we possibly could feel.

I cannot tell you how amazing every single person I came in contact with at this hospital is. I tried to make it a point to tell every single staff member I saw how grateful we were for their hospitality, their bedside manner that positive energy they brought with them. I love this place so much that I actually went home and started looking for employment opportunities at this Hospital. I believe in staying positive, especially when facing a crisis or an illness in the family. and the overall energy of this entire establishment is so positive and so uplifting, I said to myself this is where I need to be. I need to be working here. It's hard enough to be at the hospital with your child that's sick, but I cannot speak highly enough of the nurses and the doctors on floor number 8 that took care of my daughter. They made the entire situation so much better. I'm usually better with words, but I'm kind of at a loss. For the men and women that go into work everyday and put a smile on their face and a smile on their patient's and the family faces is just down right amazing. Every single one of you should be so proud of yourselves. I know I am! Thank you so much for taking such good care of my daughter. May God bless all of you!

Sadly the quality of the facility has declined a lot in the last few 4 years. The sound on the TVs are terrible, very static and hard to hear. I spent 5 days in the PICU with my son, there was only one little stream of water in the bathroom faucet. Not hot water. The patients refrigerator was almost empty, instead of their regular supply of juices for the kids. Thankfully the nurses and doctors are amazing as usual. But whoever is in charge of running and maintaining the building is doing a terrible job.

My daughter unexpectedly became ill while in FL visiting from NJ. Every single Person who took care of us was amazing. Although she spent 5 days in the ICU, our visit was filled with lots of encouragement and cheery staff! Thank you to all the staff at All Childrenā€™s for making our stay a little bit better!

Our experience at JHACH was amazing. The staff was wonderful and the endocrinology team was fantastic. The reasons for being there were awful but everyone made our stay there very stress free, which is what I needed. Very confident in the care they give my daughter and we will be going there for any future problems. Thank you to everyone involved in my daughters care.

Unfortunately have been coming here since my baby girl was born, she is 20 now and we still get the best care at this hospital! Hate they always have to hold her down and stick her way to many times for a simple iv and why it has to always be moved the minute she is away from me going into a surgery or procedure, she has special needs and this is very traumatic for her and infuriating to me! Other than that the staff and Drā€™s over all are all great! Specially at our most recent visit last month, nurse Amber was the absolute BEST!!!!

We are forever thankful to Dr. Hahn, his team, and Johns Hopkins All Childrens Hospital. My son had two 50+ degree turns. Not only did Dr. Hahn, perform his super hero surgical skill to help our son, he created a beautiful experience. This was our son's first experience with any type of hospital or surgical procedure. The staff was amazing, helpful, supportive, knowledgeable and kind. We can't begin to express our gratitude. Thank you all so very much.

Friendly staff and clean building. Lots of security which is always good to see and the waiting chairs are really comfy but very slow on seeing the patients. Waiting for 2 hours with a scheduled appointment is unacceptable. Us parents time is valuable just as well and we have other things to do besides sit in a room waiting for two hours. Other than that I have no other issues.

Weā€™re having been using services here for the past 4.5 years. We have seen practitioners in the ER, and specialists. Making appointments: it can be hard to get appointments scheduled. Reaching doctor after hours: doctors are good on answering emergent after hours calls. Nurse line: sometimes hard to get a call back for refilling meds, needs, etc. It usually seems to be when there is a change in staff. Wait time: minimal wait time at scheduled appointments. Visits: doctors take the needed time to answer ask questions, very thorough. GREAT doctors only here!

My daughter will be 23 years old in a couple of weeks, and when she was a baby we spent a lot of time at this hospital. She underwent several brain surgeries. We're going back to 1999. I have nothing but positive reviews and experience from this hospital. They saved her life! I'm so glad to see the good work continue there. I had to stay at the Ronald McDonald house for months and let me say, that it made a stressful situation a little bearable. Not sure if it's still behind the hospital, I know there were 2 at the time, but I live in New York now so I'm not sure if it's still there šŸ„°
