While shopping there today I overheard an employee talking about how management is always talking down to employees and employees starting when they feel like or leaving when they feel like it if they even show up for work and yet nothing is done about it so it's no wonder they are so under staffed to the point that they can only have the self check-out open with a line that ran at least 3/4 of the way to the back of the store, isles where a mess, I bet only half of what the store can sell was actually on the shelves, so many items were missing price tags I actually fund a whole little area (picture included) that not one thing was priced so you either have to guess or try to track down an employee to figure out the price like I don't know why the price checkers that used to be all around the store years ago were taken out, so many items were not where they're supposed to be so you have to try n figure out which price tag actually belongs to which item, random empty carts left throughout the store, and for the past 6 months at least the bike section has been bare (picture included) like does nobody there know how to order bike supplies. This store is an embarrassment to the Walmart name.

Not enough cashiers and the ones available have terrible attitude, sometimes abandoning register while making customers wait in line making them waste their time. Stop hiring useless people or start adding more self checkout stations please, this Walmart is start to turn into a dump! Waited 1 hour in line today and the cashier refused me and everyone else line because they were closing the register, they could of closed the line before closing the register letting people know that it was going to closed not act stupid and waste customers time.

Good place for low prices, but the service leaves much to be desired in certain areas or when you call for questions about a certain item or if something is in stock. However what I dislike is the self checkout. I've seen where they have accuse someone of theft due to an issue with their equipment, but they seem to target certain type of people in that situation. But other people seem to never have problems when they have the same issues.

This store has become a joke. Aisles are so full of stock that you can't go down them. Half the product on the shelves are open or have been taped closed with shipping tape. My last trip here until things change. I'll go to another store or pay more at Publix.

Walmart curbside is awesome love the convenience! Pickup Associates Nathaniel was very courteous and smiled that goes along way! Fast and relieved exactly what we wanted! Love the beautiful cookie tin and enjoyed what's inside. Will come back for more cute Holiday gifts.

As always total mess from parking to no carts when you walk in, rude people leaving their carts in between cars because they're lazy!! To no check outs open and long lines, out of products empty shelves, rude workers walking with carts never ever say excuse me look at you like you're in their way,ask a worker where something is and they don't know or don't understand you. The only workers I find doing anything helpful are the ones at self check out. It's the only store we have like this in plant city so you have to deal with it or go to another town.

Ah man I love me some Walmart. The stolen plan B on the hardware isle, the little kids running around like its Warzone. And the best part is definitely the self checkout. We also got a free vacuum in the parking lot 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is by far the worst Walmart I've ever been in unfortunately it's the only one in the plant City area. It's not uncommon to have an hour or more weight to get through cash register. Today I just got fed up where's my grocery cart to the side and told them that they better do something about it it's got a lot of perishables in it. Not worth your time or effort. Until a fire management and get some incompetent to run the place. But then again I don't even think Walmart even cares. To them customers are like cattle

I'm going to give this Walmart at 1 star! They literally had bus loads of people and only had self check out and maybe 2 or 3 other registers open! We honestly didn't wait forever for the line to move but I did see plenty of people put their carts to the side because they didn't want to wait. They probably spend more time putting things back where they belong then they do actually selling. Not to mention the fact that they are extremely under staff which is why they probably only had a couple of registers open.. There was no door greeter at all. Would not recommend! I just moved from Tampa where this would not fly! Honestly I'll probably drive to the next closest one if I need a Walmart.

Sux as usual. Been coming here since it was built many years ago and it has always sucked. Prices are higher in this Plant city store and I’ve seen it as bad as NO cashier registers open. Only self check out which is a closet. I was once directed to cashier checkout and had to point out to them that there were none. Not the end of the world but never enjoyable.

No one knows what they are doing. No one answer phone calls except automated machine. The Liqour store was open at 9 am now it’s scratched out and has 1 pm Wednesday thru Sat. It appears no one knows who is running the Asylum. It’s not going there for the little you save.

There's always like a 1 hrs line wait... So much customers and only couple lines open Customer service sucks here And they never answer the phone! So if you have any questions fir them don't bother calling they not going to answer.... Unfortunately this is one of the only stores where I can find my Baby's formula so I have to come here 🙄 and wait 🕝🕝🕝

Visited the Wine & Spirits Store next to the Wal-Mart Supercenter at the Plant City location. The woman associate that assisted me was great!!! But the male associate was disconnected, uninterested, and was looking like he wished he was somewhere else. The store was clean and pleasant to shop in, but was poorly stocked. Didn't have the size of brand of tequila or Vodka I was looking for and had to settle for just a different brand of Vodka in the size I was looking for. Left without the tequila.

Truthfully, my rating for this Walmart is a 0/5. I have not once had a pleasant experience at this location what-so-ever and I have lived in this area for over 3 years now. I have given them multiple chances, thinking maybe over time it will get better, but it somehow progressively gets worse as time goes on. Not only are they constantly out of stock with things, which I understand the supply shortage, but the staff here has been rude countless times to both me and my family. The real reason I am taking the effort in writing this review today is because I just left this Walmart where there was still 15 minutes to close. I tried walking in the doors and one of their employees, I kid you not, was HOLDING THE DOOR SHUT ON ME! I tried asking her what time they closed and that I thought they didn't close for another 15 minutes (all I needed was Ibuprofen), and this girl looks at me and acts like she can't understand me, knowing good and well she can. Also received a lovely eye roll from her. This was definitely not the first rude employee I have encountered at this location and I can honestly come up with an entire blog page series of horror stories based off this one store. This place needs to be shut down entirely, and best believe I am done giving them anymore chances. This is why I shop at Winn Dixie!

Everyday this place just gets worse and worse . They don't take cash one day they don't take cards the next and what is a cashier Apparently they don't know. The associates are so rude if they even look at you. One associate had on ear buds and I had to get in front of him to get his attention I think the district manager should come by and clean house.

I would like to recognize Matt. He works in the meat department and in the dairy department. I believe he was extremely nice today I was there I was looking for a tortillas they were nowhere to be found on the shelf I called him. I asked him he looked on his little handheld device and said there’s some in the back he went back. It’s up to him like 3 to 4 minutes. He came back with them. I really appreciate that Matt needs to be recognized for doing such an amazing job.

I don't know if they are having problems with the freezer section at this location but there were several that were empty. There was several employees standing around at the entrance while there weren't any shopping carts inside. Myself and other customers had to go back outside and get our own carts. This experience gave me the impression this location is poorly managed.

Stopped by to get Kayak Carrier kit with foam blocks. Nice gentleman told us where to find it while ringing up other customers and then when he was done he came over to make sure we found what we were looking for. Lines weren't long. Paid by self checkout. They don't take Apple pay so had to pay cash. None of the registers were open.

Shelves pretty empty. Lots and lots of people in the store so hard to go down the aisle. Checkout lines very slow and very long. Many carts outside all over.

ordered a car battery for delivery, whoever the delivery person was, no one seems to know, delivered to wrong address. Call store, they can't even find the order so tell me to contact corporate, I do, they try to contact the store twice to see if they can send out another battery, no answer both times. Then they tell me they will issue a refund but that the money won't be available for 3 to 4 days. Meanwhile, since I am on a fixed income, I am not made of money so Wal Mart has left me without a working vehicle. The correct response should have been, "We apologize and will expedite a new delivery from one of our many stores overnight" but that would be too simple and convenient for the customer. LAST STRAW WAL MART......NEVER AGAIN.

Prices not the same at register.unless you want to stand in a long line you have to cash yourself out and pay the higher prices. No thanks shame on you Mr Walmart is turning in his grave of what you are doing for a profit and are you really making a profit with all the stealing?

Plant city Walmart I believe? Yes. I've never visited this Walmart until yesterday.we went there for a fresh inventory to shop in. I was going to Walmart for particular items i.e. bras, panties, shoes, and socks. The Bra and panties - they had a pretty large selection there and they also had bras in my size which isn't a normal thing for Walmart. As for their sock collection now? They have a decent selection to pick from but I'm a classic girl and I like black and white. Half of the pack of socks white half of the pack of socks blk.. I went to the beauty section for hair color and was surprised to see such a large selection. Saving the worst for last, the shoe department. They had hardly any shoes there and what shoes they did have their was not my size I happen to know where the most common size eight and a half in almost every shoe they had they were lacking that size. So in total all their inventory selection was really poor except for the hair colors! I did visit other parts of the store besides those few places too.

Extremely overcrowded. The weekends or first of the month are not even an option. Countless trips have been so bad that there are not even buggies to be found that are not already in use! With self service it is a test of patience beyond the boundaries of norm.

  • 1/5 For3thal 4 months ago on Google
Can’t shop inside because it’s too crowded and self check out is packed. Can’t do pickup when it takes over an hour with only two people working it. Then there’s delivery where they leave half your order at the store. They suck in every way…

Yolonda is a team lead up front and she has VERY bad customer service skills. If she is proven wrong, she becomes very argumentative and rude. She storms off when you are talking to her. When you ask for a manager or a coach, she tells you there is NO coach. That she is the coach. Again today I had to fight with her over an item that was $2.12 listed but rang up as $7.75. She refused to change it and stated she DOES NOT have to sell me any of it for that price and was very persistent of selling them to me for full price. She SHOULD NOT be in front as a team lead because she has VERY poor customer service skills. This is definitely not the first time I have had to deal with her. And I’m sure she has Many other reports. She is VERY RUDE and unprofessional!!!!

I’m physically disabled and I can’t ever come here again. I understand how much is changing in the world, truly-patience, respect & kindness is what we need. I’m not trying to be hateful with this rating- I wanted to advocate for myself and others. Being physically limited I don’t know how the elderly & handicap shop here comfortably. I went through what, for me was a physically debilitating experience bc there were no cashiers. Having to scan and pick up all of my stuff overwhelmed me. It may have seemed melodramatic to onlookers but I couldn’t handle it all, I needed help. 2 employees looked at me struggling. Were they observing? I asked then told them I needed help. “No one showed up ma’am” the self check out guard/guide said. (It was filled with employees as I went through the store?) I don’t look disabled but I am - I’m gonna be in bed for a couple days recovering from this grocery trip. A cashier would have gotten me through the experience. I told the self check lady & another man by the door that I needed help, but I don’t think they really got it. Or they did? I’m not going to speculate. I personally can’t ever come here again because of the potential of another experience like I had.

The employees were courteous and helpful but not one open cashier line only self checkout customers should get a discount if they have to do a cashiers job.

This walmart literally has the slowest curbside pick up. It would be faster to go inside and shop. The employee's are always working hard though.

This Walmart definitely ain’t the place to go only came for something quick since there’s no Target in the area and the store had a odd smell, it looked dirty, and the store was a mess. Prices are definitely higher and the selection was limited at this location. Probably gonna take the extra drive to Target next time.

The Plant City Walmart has always been a roll of the dice so to speak. I'm either going to have a frustrating experience or a normal shopping trip. Last night in certain departments the shelves were empty. For example, the shoe department was a ghost town. But, we have to keep in mind that they are getting ready for the spring season. I just wish I could have seen what spring had in store for us no pun intended. Other than that customer service was outstanding and the lines at self-checkout weren't too painful.

Walmart is an okay place to shop except for them treating me like I'm a thief. They make me feel so uncomfortable the way they watch me and follow me. I'm not a thief and never have been and I don't appreciate being made to feel like one!

Nice store. Last several months you can tell the change. It's cleaner. Selves seemed to be stocked well... most of the time. I like the self checkout myself. After the last couple of years. I don't want other people handling my stuff. I get in an get out. That store makes that easy.

Saturday is Busiest day of shopping and only 2 cashiers. At least 5 in each line with multiple carts 2 check out with. Not the way to run a store!!! What happened to customer service? At walmart there is little of it .

It was very busy due to hurricane Ian but the employees were very patient and understood my situation (card not working correctly) and it made me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Thank you Walmart! A big thumbs up👍 to you all!!

  • 2/5 Edward M. 1 year ago on Google
It's Walmart! Never enough staff or help when you need it. I stood in the self checkout line for nearly 15 minutes before someone came to help the ladies in front of me. There was only 1 full service lane open and the line was just as long. Parking was a chore as there were shopping carts scattered all over the the parking lot. This is why I normally avoid this place. If I could have found what I needed anywhere else at a reasonable price I would have gone.

  • 2/5 ron c. 1 year ago on Google
Well Walmart used to be open 24 hours because of covid they're not of course we know that's just an excuse so if you're trying to buy at 11 you will have to bag your own stuff and then they will inform you you cannot pay cash you have to pay credit card I think that starts at about there is no set time it's disappointing there when I was a kid the customer was always right and you certainly didn't cut them off I do what you're doing but don't get in somebody's way while they're trying to stock items they will run you over

  • 2/5 Stanley J. 1 year ago on Google
First, it's Walmart. Nothing special about this store. I may have given it 3 stars but I'm not a fan of self checkouts. They will have 10 or 12 self checkouts registers open and 1 or 2 checkouts registers with a cashier open. and you need to pack a lunch to get through the line.

I put in an pickup order for my mother in law whom I elderly last night. Had it to be picked up between 5pm & 6pm. First they told my brother in law there was no order under any name he gave them. He had to get the order number from us. This was at 5:30pm. Then they said it wasn't read but they found it. They didn't even bring it out to him until 6:50pm. That's ridiculous. Not to mention I called the store 15 times while he was waiting for the order. Absolutely no one answered the phone. And when you chose to talk to pick up it would automatically hang up the phone. Earlier in the day my mother in law tried to get a hold of pharmacy to refill a script and she had to get a hold of a random department and have them transfer her. That person said no one ever answers in pharmacy.

Most of the time I love this Walmart. Nice, well stocked, etc. On Saturdays, it’s awful. I’m guessing it’s a staffing issue, but there was 1 register open, so the line and the self checkout lines were crazy. No carts inside at all. Overall, it’s a nice Walmart though.

  • 3/5 Rita M. 2 years ago on Google
I have no problems with our local Walmart. I can get in and out quickly with one of the two self-serve lanes, even when people have carts full, because there are always enough cash registers that move quickly. Sadly they almost NEVER have carts inside, which I can't understand. It does seem they don't care about the Shopper at all and not interested in making that, 'first impression' when we walk in the store. The parking lot really could use their attention as it always has trash and debris all around.
