Was passing through the Lakeland/Plant City area and appreciated the fact that this restaurant is open until 10pm on a weekday. I really liked the atmosphere in the restaurant-- sort of like a clubby type of vibe. The service was extremely quick to get out our food. We ordered 6 rolls and we enjoyed them all. All the rolls were super fresh and tasty! I liked the fact that they wrapped their sushi in very little rice. That's the way to do it! We also ordered the steak and shrimp teriyaki combo that comes with soup and a ginger salad. The miso soup was great but the salad was not. They put way too much dressing on the salad and the dressing is way too sweet in my opinion. The entree comes laid on out a bed of onions, peppers, and a few carrots. Although the dish was swimming in sauce, it didn't have that punch of flavor that I would've liked. It's like the sauce was a bit watered down or something. But the portion of steak and shrimp was plentiful and much appreciated. Overall a great restaurant with great food. I'd highly recommend their sushi to anyone in the area.

Wasabi is THE best sushi joint around, HANDS DOWN! It’s probably the best sushi I’ve ever had to be honest. I always order for lunch, because they have great lunch specials that come with 2 or 3 rolls (your choice) with a salad & soup for a reasonable price. I’ve been eating here for close to 2 years, and the food is still amazing. My favorite roll is the Mexican roll- it’s so fresh! My second favorite is the summer roll- deep fried deliciousness. I also really enjoy the rock n roll, dynamite, shrimp tempura, and Jacarada rolls as well. Everything I’ve ever ordered has been INSANELY good… The flavor IS there, and you will not regret it if you try it. Warning: It may become a new obsession!

Always delicious. Reasonably priced for the portion size. Friendly and entertaining chefs. Hostess and service members are always attentive and happy to help.

Update: Ate here again Saturday evening at the Hibachi grill. The "show" put on by our cook was excellent. He engaged the smaller children at the table and they also loved it! And of course the food was absolutely wonderful. Ate there Saturday right at 12 noon. The restaurant was clean and not too busy. We were properly greeted and promptly seated. Waitress was very nice and helpful. We both ordered Hibachi from kitchen (as the Hibachi grill is closed for lunch). We both really enjoy Wasabi's vegetables with the carrots, mushrooms and broccoli. We also had the fried rice and steak. Both were cooked properly to order. The Hibachi grill opens at 5 pm and is open all day Sunday.

I don't know but, first time coming here with the family and by far the worst place I have ever eaten. Not even my kids ate there food. Food had no flavor, very unorganized, and service was terrible. Very small place and bearly any lightning. This is a wanna be Koby's. KOBY'S IS 10 times better than this place. Shoot Mc Donald's it's better than this place. Waist of money. Sorry guys. It was just awful. Maybe they where having a bad day. Who knows.

Parking at this location is in abundance with wheelchair parking and entrance. The hibachi show was extremely entertaining for the kids as well as the adults. Superb service, the prices are competitive. The food was outstandingly delicious. I highly recommend this establishment if you never have been. Its well maintained the restrooms are very clean great ambience.

I scheduled a curbside order for 6pm, an hour ahead of time. I get there 6pm and call them to let them know where I parked because there wasn’t any curbside parking area. I gave the person on the phone a description of my car, and they said they would be out in a few minutes. 30 minutes go by and nobody had come outside. I call again and they told me the food had been sitting there (Sushi, mind you) for 30 minutes, and asked if I could come inside to get it because they were busy. I couldn’t because I had my dog in the car and a sick kid. If I could come inside, I would have ordered a regular pickup order and not curbside. So, they said they will send someone out with the food. 10 minutes later, still nothing, so I left. No call about the food, even still, and it is nearly 2 hours later. Kind of scary to think they are comfortable with a sushi order sitting out so long in the first place. This would’ve been my first time here, but it’s also my last.

Visited on Friday with a group of friends. The cook we had at the habichi grill gave us a great show! He interacted with everyone at the table and had a great demeanor about him. The waitress was very attentive and made sure we had our refills and to go box's without out us even asking. The food tasted amazing, and the portions are insane! Clean restaurant, amazing atmosphere,great employees

This is my favorite go-to sushi place. There is a variety to choose from and sushi is always fresh and delicious. The roll sizes are decently sized, also.

Had Father’s Day dinner and even though they were very busy, everything was quick and delicious. Filet was so tender and melted in my mouth. My husband is allergic to all seafood and they were very conscientious about not contaminating his food. Plum wine was cold and sweet. Service was terrific, a wonderful special occasion or any occasion place to eat in Plant City.

We have lived in Plant City for almost 1 year exploring and trying almost every restaurant in the area EXCEPT Wasabi, thinking it was like every other Japanese/hibachi we’ve been to. Boy, have we been missing out!!!!!!! What an exceptional experience! The ambiance is enchanting, got seated promptly, waiter and hibachi chef were personable and fun, food was excellent and the portions were surprisingly huge! Husband had chicken, I had salmon and daughter had steak and chicken. Prices were great in comparison to the portions! Everything here made for a GREAT NIGHT OUT! Yes we will gladly put this in the list of places to come! New review!! 8/3/23 Another great meal here!! This time we went to the bar side of the restaurant and had saki, tempura,sushi and salad Super fresh, super good and a great value for the money!! So glad we came here. You just can’t go wrong!!!

Thank you for accommodating our group of 14 last night . Although it's a bit crowded to seat all of us in 1 table but we had fun. We always have Dina for our group and she is the best to take care of our group. We have new chef and he was fun.

Came here last night for gathering with friends of 14 people. We had really fun, food is great, chef is fun and the service is the best. Dina is our server, she is fun little girl but very strong as she carried those big tray with 14 soups and salads😀 We love her to be our server for our next gathering.

Everything was so good but we waited like 40 minutes outside and once we were seated another 40 minutes to take the order and the cook to arrive to our table

I've been coming to this place for years, and let me tell you, we absolutely love it here. The food is amazing, and the atmosphere is so peaceful. But last Saturday, things took a turn when this server I'd never seen before (probably new) came along. She was trying to be all buddy-buddy with the customers, but honestly, she was just way too loud and totally killed our vibe. We ended up bailing on our meal before even finishing it.

We are the hibachi dinner and our chef was top notch, so much fun he created. The food was typical hibachi style, rice meat choice, veggies and noodles. The appetizers were really good. We had pan fried dumplings and California rolls all very good.

This is one of our number one places to go on our list! We go out of our way to come to Plant City to eat here and it is well worth it! The hibachi chefs are always entertaining. Our food is always made perfectly and so delicious! The ONLY suggestion I have for them is to not set the dirty menus on top of the plates when seating everyone. Other than that, I have no complaints! We have been here probably over 50 times in the last 2 years and have never run into any problems. Also, context of the picture, this is a mickey that nightmares are made of. Lol our chef was entertaining my 3 year old nephew, who was a little scared of the fire.

Went for lunch on a Saturday afternoon and was over all pleased with the experience. We were seated right away and the waitress jasmine was very attentive. Food came quick, tasted delicious and was decently proportioned. Definitely coming back.

Love this place... this is my birthday dinner every year! The bartenders and our chef were amazing!! I also recommend you get the plant city punch bowl😁
