Been waiting to try this for about a month now. They close fairly early. 1st visit. Chicken was juicy and good. Sides of fries, mashed potatoes and baked beans were ok. Staff was nice. I can officially add Maryland Chicken to my list of been there, done that.

If you bought my meal and paid me to eat here I would never do it. Chicken is dry, sides are puny, sodas are flat, they charge you three and a half percent to use your credit card and nobody carries cash these days, the place is dirty and old, you have to pay extra for everything. Paid almost $30 for two two piece meals. I think the sides are maybe one spoonful if that. In my opinion this place is a joke, won't be coming back

I'll probably be dreaming of this chicken for a few weeks. It was amazing. It had a light breading and the meat is juicy and bursting with flavor. Even the white meat was good and not over-cooked. We ordered a bucket of chicken for 3 people and almost finished it. The sides are nothing special. The rolls were exactly what you'd buy from the grocery store, and the fries didn't have a lot of flavor. But oh that chicken.

I've been going here regularly since moving to the area. My dog and I walk there for lunch. The prices are a bit high but I wanted to support smaller business. Usually the food is fresh. I have had the chicken and the nuggets. Yesterday I wanted to try the gizzards. I was told they were soft. They served me cold gizzards that were dry and unchewable. They had to be sitting there all day. I went back today to buy lunch and told them. They didn't even apologize or compensate my money. Instead they told me they were made to order. That is a lie because I didn't wait any time for the order as I usually do. They ripped me off and didn't care. I won't support your business anymore. You have lost a lifetime customer because of your greed and rudeness.

I had Wing dinner, 1/2 pint bake beans and coleslaw and I didn't like it at alllllll. 👎🏾 The bake beans taste like they just came out the pork and beans can the coleslaw was ok and the chicken was alright...I drove allll the way to go taste this chicken I heard so much about.... disappointed

I’m sorry.. it really taste like the recipe has changed. I asked other co workers and family members and they agreed Maryland chicken doesn’t taste the same! I ended up spitting it out😩

When it comes to fried chicken, it’ll be hard to beat these people, they’ve figured it out! Juicy pieces of chicken, fried in fresh peanut oil. The sides are delicious as well. The french fries and baked beans were on point.

Food is 4 stars ,customer service is a 1 star. When ordering food and drink you have to pay for drink refills when you pay for food or you can't get a drink unless you spend $10. ($10 minimum on cards) ordered a 32oz sweet tea and got a cup 3/4 full of ice and a swig of tea. $16 for a 3pcs chicken dinner and drink. Good customer service would be to ask the customer if they would like to purchase a refill when they pay for their meal so they dont leave thirsty.

Something changed. I ordered the 6 wing meal for 13.95, I received 5. This is a place you go for the chicken and the fries are just a filler, but at least ook them so they are not oily and soggy. Also bring back the Franks hot sauce. Whatever is in those packets now destroys your chicken. I was so looking forward to this meal and drove away sad.

OMG! How have I lived here my whole life & never tried this place?! The bf & I did a post online about the best friend chicken around. Several people mentioned Maryland Fired Chicken. Neither of us had ever been but figured we should give it a try. It was DELICIOUS!! The chicken is perfectly fried & not overly greasy. The mashed potatoes & gravy was unique in that the gravy looks like vanilla pudding. It's thick & creamy but the flavor is on point. The only downside was the prepackaged store bought dinner rolls, but the rest is so good you won't even care!

There is no other place in the entire world that compares to this place. I grew up eating this place and now I live almost 3 hours away and still manage to go down there for their food. I never leave plant city without it. The chicken and mash potatoes are everything but the Cole slaw is one of a kind and every where else who has Cole slaw is just trash to me. Never change little chicken house! You’re the best!!!

Well, there is only pick up no dine-in. Have seen this place for years and it is always hopping. So one day I decided to give it a shot for me and my mother. I did not wow me at all. I was left feeling why this place stays so busy. I am sure it has been around a long time and loved by the locals. Customer service was phenomenal. Left with a smile on my face. It's worth trying once maybe you'll feel different about the food.

We were first-time visitors, and the chicken was fantastic! Service was gast, prices definitely reasonable. Soooooo glad we happened by around lunch time. We'll be back!

There were pieces of fried chicken spine, (as in the scraps from cutting up the pieces!) in our order rather than the amount of chicken we ordered. We used to love this place, but I probably won't be going back. Deep fried garbage shouldn't be part of a large order like that.

We had fried chicken with the mash potatoes!!!! So good 🙂🙃 Super clean... even the outside bathrooms are super clean.

Very good hot and fresh. Small side was very expensive for what u get. But good food. Had 3 piece white meal. Cole slaw and mash potatoes and gravy. Extra small mash potatoes and gravy. Small order hush puppies and lg tea. Was almost $24.

Wow.....I mean, wow..... I just moved here and can't remember the last time I've had fried chicken this good. Really blows everyone else, in my memory, out of line. The bird is juicy, the skin is bursting with great seasoning and flavor, plus the service is so quick. I will try to visit responsibly, but frequently. Amazing!!

The fried chicken was absolutely amazing and the people working in the restaurant were very friendly. But the dining room was pretty shoddy and it was hot. I'd suffer through this or just carry my order out to enjoy the chicken.

This has always been a good place to get take-out fried chicken, shrimp, and especially fried chicken gizzards. The sides are a little small but acceptable and good tasting. The customer service from the employees is polite and respectful. Old Southern hospitality, so the expected Yes Sir and Yes Mama is always given, especially to the customers that are older and consider it rude not being addressed as such. Their parents raised this younger generation right. I have been stopping by here for 50 years now, and I hope to continue for another 20, 30, or 40 years.

The chicken was crispy, delicious, and very seasoned. The mashed potatoes and coleslaw was delicious as well. I enjoyed this place. The staff had great customer service as well.

Great chicken delicious! Not greasy light and tasty. Fries hot and crispy and a coleslaw to die for. There were 3 people in line and between ordering and getting food was under 6 min. Awesome you gotta get some of that Marylyn chicken !

By far …. By far… best chicken around. Better get you some. I’d call my order in. This place is a local favorite. Delicious sides and sweet tea.

Best chicken in town, a pleasant experience getting served, The owner and staff is very attentive ,making sure you don’t leave until your order is complete and you are satisfied!

Well worth the trip from Riverview to Plant City. The Chicken is unlike any you tasted. I usually get the Barrell portion, so I have chicken for more than one meal. The frozen chicken rebaked in an Air fryer is absolutely delicious.

Amazing find. This place is so good! I got the fish, chicken, mash with gravy, baked beans, and hush puppy. Cant wait to go back!

The best fried chicken you'll ever eat in your life. Small town, small building but big taste and big business!!! I've been eating there for 30 something odd year's and I'm never gonna change...

I give these guys 3 stars only because you really never know when they are open. BUT…….The one I will give a 5 star rating is the one in Winter Garden OMG!!!!!!!!! THIS PLACE IS AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!! AND IT HAS COLLARD GREENS!!!!!!! THAT’S WHAT I’M TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!! IT’S A SUNDAY DRIVE OR A FRIDAY NIGHT OUT OR JUST BECAUSE YOU WANT SOME REALLY GOOD CHICKEN. IT’S WORTH THE DRIVE IS ALL I’M SAYING.

I guess if u like salty chicken then this is the place for you. Despite the mix reviews I wanted to give this place a try. Service was quick but OMG the chicken was toooooooo salty and lack flavor. My husband who has hypertension wasnt able to enjoy the meal. Thanks but no thanks we'll stick with KFC in our neighborhood. Though their chicken small at least it isnt salty
