very decent space with lots of potential. Only young white college kids here so literally felt like I was at a frat house 🤮🤮 And then the bartenders were so rude Jesus Christ, maybe cuz I’m not a white girl named Sarah. And the music sucked for a good chunk of the night. Anyways, definitely would not come back nor would I recommend this place at all lmao.

Super undercover racist. Tommy Ortiz is the owner and is not white but feels he is by acceptance. He is a shady business man who stays being sued....He only likes non Alpha submissive Black men who submit to his will.. If you are proud to be black don't go there . They play a lot of Black music but don't really want you there dancing of it looking naturally cool when in fact they really are not... He owned the cheap restaurant that got shut down because Tommy Ortiz is the slime ball of the year. Stay away from the Kennedy nite club also. Another Racist club owned by Tommy Ortiz His loyal co racist servant is a Asian DJ named Jask he will play like he cool with blacks but only likes house neegros

Friday nights are very fun here as it is Spanish night and you can get in free before 12 if you put your name on the guest list online. Great selections of beers, including Stella last time I went. They need to get rid of the Techno room and make it a modern hip hop room so that way it would be Spanish on one side and hip hop on the other!

Bouncers are trash, you slide them a $20 bill and they give you a 21+ band if your underage seen it plenty of times and i even have evidence hahaha. There's two of them at the entrance those are the ones I'm speaking about mainly the skinny bald one. The drinks are worth the money here meaning the bartenders are good and the music is usually good. (Bad rating bc of the Bouncers get rid of those two then you'll be good)

Make sure you check your account and keep your receipt! Sketchy! I looked at my account the following day and my tab that was 31.50 plus the $7 Tip came out to a total 38.50 and some how I had an extra charge of $12 Mind you this is the second time this has happened there. Last time I ordered 1 beer and the next day I had a charge of $20! Never again!!! they clearly are pocketing extra money thinking people wouldn’t notice.

Very nasty staff.. very aggressive for no reason. I like the warmth at the tree house right across better.

Went on a Tuesday at 11 and started off the night by paying a $10 cover charge. **Was aware of the guest list but the link wasn't working properly. Cons: Got on here to read reviews and noticed a review about using credit cards. I checked my bank account and the charge that was on there was double what it should have been. Hostile door guys: When I got there, there was a cocky door guy holding up the line to let people in. When I went to walk in there was a door guy blocking the door way. Even got bumped into for no apparent reason. I'm 6'2 215...these guys are either underpaid or more concerned about who their competition is. Drink Prices: After I paid $10 cover, I bought a Redbull Vodka which was $10..and tipped $2. The charge on my bank account ended up being $25. Underage: I'm not aware if underage (under 21) are allowed but the door guys had no issue handing out drinking wristbands to underage. It was pretty obvious after talking to a few women (18 and 20) that this was a normal thing. Witnessed the 20yr old throwing up before I left. Pros: The atmosphere and setup of the bar wasn't bad. I've always enjoyed the different venues within the bar. Probably one of the busier bars on a Tuesday. .....I don't think I'll be coming back anytime soon.

MIA was an amazing bartender. She’s always made sure that we were having a good time and we’re served quickly. She is probably the best bartender at HPC… so if you are planning on having a GOOD time then you’ll have to ask what bar MIA is working at… and stay near that bar. She makes sure that you are having a good time and keeps your cup full as can be! Honestly… if she didn’t work here I would probably take my business elsewhere. HPC is lucky to have her!

I brought myself in with my dad. A 26 year old and a 60 year old handicap. We got jumped by the bouncers for no reason. Please be careful when coming in here. It is not worth it. Please let me know if you have any questions. Make sure the cameras are working.

Never going there back again, they choose people randomly and kick them out and ask them to pay again. Happened twice!

Great place for a Friday night happy hour! $10 AYCD is a great deal. Cute indoor / outdoor seating & standing areas. Bartenders pretty quick with service. Lots of underage highschool kids in this bar, definitely way too large of a majority of people under 18. No soda fountain. Drinks were all served with pouring a can of soda which is lined up on the top of the bar. Definitely a place to go if you are under 21, if you are over, you may not want to bother.

They paid me late for over 5 months and when I quit they didn’t pay me my remaining paychecks. As a result, they continue to withhold over 40 hours worth of wages owed to me. I’m not a slanderer, because I consider slander to be abhorrent for obvious reasons.

The vibe was cool because of my friends however I can see why they are getting slow business. The bouncer at the door was rude and short with me, miserable person. The bar tenders were very rude as well I couldn’t believe they thought so highly of themselves and looked down on others with their attitude I was literally one of the few people actually buying drinks for them, and leaving a tip they sucked! I work in service industry too and I wouldn’t want to work here to save my life! I felt I un welcomed and despised what a disgrace of a club! Ybor is where it’s at

I used to come here years ago and going here now, especially after it was closed during covid, is not the same as it used to be. They stopped serving hookahs a while ago, before covid. The DJ seems like he's in his own bedroom just playing around with songs and remixes, it's not good anymore. Also, they had all that time during quarantine and after to renovate what I was told they'd be renovating, and still have not. Drinks are poured lightly. Just get a beer.

i did not pay $50 to be manhandled by y’all’s staff— im 20, and was holding my 21 year old boyfriends drink for a second because he was tired of holding it and the security saw me holding the cup, came over, grabbed me aggressively by my wrists and waist and i had to yell at the security guard to get off of me that i can walk myself out of the building. was extremely upset, uncomfortable, and angry, there was no reason for him to be so rude with me and no reason for him to kick me out for holding a cup. nor was there any reason for him to grab me period and got mad when i told him to stop touching me. he should be fired! horrible place will never go back 1000000% do not recommend, got SA’d as well by another attendee. the security was more concerned about the cup than my safety. absolutely disgusting place. not worth the entry fee

Jack was my bartender he was phenomenal made me so comfortable even went out his way to grab my friend and I a bar stool to sit on. You don’t cross this level of customer service often. He went above and beyond. I will definitely be back for him. Wonderful experience! Great ambiance!

Great music & atmosphere, however drinks are ridiculously expensive. Ordered Tito’s and whatever came out of that Tito’s bottle was anything but Tito’s… other than that had a great time!

The Hyde Park Cafe is a staple of modern Tampa club life. It temporarily closed down due to covid and was happy to see it reopen recently. It's setup for 2 rooms with a nice central outside smoking area.

The bouncer fired me because I said your price today is higher than the last time!!!! Every time I come to the place and enter from the VIP path the price is $20 but this time he asked for $25 so I asked him why he kicked me out!

The place was closed for the night and they didn’t even let anyone know it was closed. They didn’t post on their social media, website, or their hours they would be closed when they are usually open on fridays. Terrible communication on their end and such a disappointment.

I went on a Friday and the vibes were dead. There was so many people you could barely get to the bar or bathroom. Even a worker said if the fire department came by they’d be introuble for letting in OVER CAPACITY.

Clearly college kids only (Friday night). Drinks suck. Dj was alright.

Owners and management do not care about the surrounding community and neighborhoods and continue to allow and encourage loud, disruptive behavior inside and outside of the establishment. Furthermore, the patrons who have visited or are waiting to enter the establishment are free to walk and explore the neighborhood of families who are adjacent to the club and act in an incredibly disruptive manner which is incredibly intrusive and invasive to families who have an actual work schedule to adhere to. This establishment is an eyesore and an earsore to the local neighborhood and serves no purpose existing in this neighborhood. The volume of music is a direct violation of the noise ordinance and multiple calls to TPD have resulted in no action.
