Loved the place. They're expanding the main showroom so the airplanes being displayed were limited. I'm looking forward to when they're done renovating. Great place to take your kids to. The staff is very amiable and make you feel at home.

We walked around outside first and it was interesting to see and read about the different aircrafts they have for display. Proceeded to pay the fee for the Museum and it was slightly overpriced for the size of the place and the displayed aircrafts. Overall enjoyed it as a 1 time experience as we were headed to that area to try out a restaurant.

I took my son because he has taken a big interest in planes. When we pulled up my son knew the majority of the plane types. The attendant was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We learned more about planes and engines while we were there. Not only is this a museum but they also have a school to help young aspiring pilots. They also have many interactive displays which was very engaging.

Came here late on a Sunday and it was very quiet. I enjoy reading all of the plaques quietly so it was perfect for me. Spoke with the nice lady volunteering and she was wonderful to talk to and you could tell she was very enthusiastic and passionate about the place and what they do. This seems like an amazing hub for the community and if you're considering going I'd say do. They host a lot of events that often give back to the area.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Florida Air Museum in Lakeland, Florida, and I must say, it truly exceeded my expectations. As an aviation enthusiast, I have visited a fair number of air museums across the country, but this one stands out as a memorable and inspiring experience. First and foremost, the museum's location is ideal. Situated at the Sun 'n Fun Aerospace Expo Campus, the surroundings are vibrant and bustling with aviation-related activities. The museum itself is spacious and well laid out, ensuring that guests can comfortably explore its wide variety of exhibits. The collection of aircraft on display is outstanding, showcasing not only iconic planes like the Grumman F-14 Tomcat and the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, but also a range of experimental, home-built, and vintage aircraft. The museum does an excellent job of preserving and presenting these rare and fascinating pieces of aviation history. The interactive exhibits, which cater to both children and adults, were a standout feature for me. The hands-on approach encourages visitors to engage with the science and engineering of flight in a fun and accessible way. Additionally, the museum offers a variety of educational programs, including workshops and summer camps, making it an ideal destination for families and students alike. The staff and volunteers at The Florida Air Museum were extremely knowledgeable and passionate about aviation. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and they were always happy to answer questions and share their expertise. It was a pleasure to learn from them. Of course, no visit to an air museum would be complete without a flight simulator experience, and The Florida Air Museum delivers on that front as well. The state-of-the-art simulators provide an exciting opportunity to feel what it's like to pilot various aircraft, and are sure to be a hit with visitors of all ages. In conclusion, The Florida Air Museum is a must-visit destination for aviation enthusiasts, families, and history buffs. The museum's impressive collection, interactive exhibits, and knowledgeable staff make for a truly unforgettable experience. Whether you're a seasoned pilot or simply curious about the world of aviation, The Florida Air Museum has something for everyone. I highly recommend adding it to your itinerary when you're in the Lakeland area.

Nice place if you are into aviation. Small museum and motor room but nicely done. Expect to spend about 90 minutes. A few planes etc. outside. Newer facilities

Excellent ☺️ This is a smallish museum that packs plenty of airplane history inside its walls as well as outside. Plenty of vintage experimental planes as well as a nice selection of vintage engine's and props. We were greeted by a knowledgeable young volunteer, Noel Bell, who knew much more than expected. It's great to see this being passed down to his generation 🙂 All told, this is a great place to visit that's laid back and easy to take in in a short time. Highest recommendation!

Took my son today and he really enjoyed how interactive some of the displays were! About 60-90 minutes to go through the whole museum including both buildings and the outside area. Restrooms were clean and Great prices at the Gift store! Although the museum itself is best suited for those who are Airplane enthusiasts you can definitely still have a nice time and learn a few things Definitely would come back with the whole family On April 9th for the anniversary.

We went on a Sunday. It was a lil slow there. Which made it kinda nice to walk around the museum and not feel rushed. If you like looking at older type airplanes this nice.

Small museum but very nicely put together. Was fantastic for little ones. They had a lot of interactive games for the kids. Reading materials were great and contemporary. Air conditioned and really cool atmosphere.

Got into the museum for free due to having tickets to the Up Up and Away hot air balloon festival. The hot air balloon festival wasn’t that great but we really enjoyed the museum. We were glad we arrived just in time to check out the museum before it closed.

An absolutely beautiful place to walk around and explore. Mr. Gill one of the volunteers there took us around and had so much information and knowledge to share. We had a great time and learned a lot. Highly recommended place to visit

What a nice place with a relaxing atmosphere as you walk through the museum. I enjoyed my time there, learned some new things and had a great talk with one of the volunteers.

Great value for those with kids with an aviation interest. Even for those who might not, most kids (and adults) love fighter jets of which there are several. You can get very up close with the exibits and unlike many museums, the atmosphere is relaxed and most displays are unbreakable and set up to last. $15 total plus whatever at the gift shop of course. But well worth it to see the looks on my 8 yr old’s face!

It was alright, not extremely interactive. Very wheelchair accessible. Good museum for older flight enthusiasts

This place is not for me or our kids. If you’re an aircraft enthusiast, you’ll love it. I was bored to tears.

Disappointed. Very small for the price and a lot of cheap replicas. Engine room mostly blocked off with just a few to see the first few feet into the building. Walked around to see the planes outside. Enjoyed the ones we saw but not enough to justify the price of admission. After being told we could walk around to see planes outside we got scolded by some woman for being on a restricted campus on our way to view one of the planes on display on the museum property which was extremely off putting. I would suggest the MAPS air museum in Canton Ohio instead. They have much more to see and very knowledgeable and friendly staff and volunteers who are excited to tell you many interesting facts about the aircraft there and you can even get inside some of the old military planes.

Spent an awesome day here with the kids. Many beautiful aircrafts. Cute little children's area for the smaller kids. Gift shop had reasonable prices. Great picnic grounds. Definitely a must.
