Edward Menard Park is a really nice park to enjoy for the day or camp for the weekend. There is a lot of trees that provide tons of shade for a picnic. There are also a lot of wide open grassy areas. The park has a frisbee golf β›³ course. If you are into fishing, there is a really large body of water with multiple piers that you can fish from. I haven't fished it myself (yet), but just walking up to the edge of the waterline, you can see fish swimming around in there. But also be aware as there are alligators in the water as well. As soon as I pulled up to the boat ramp, I saw a nice size gator just hanging out about 20 feet from the end of the ramp. The park rangers and staff were very friendly. You pull up to the little office at the main entrance and pay the following fees accordingly: Entry fee per vehicle is $2.00 Annual pass (single) is $50.00 Annual pass (family) is $100.00 Boat launch fee is $5.00 And camping is $24.00 per night The boat ramp area has large trailer parking slots. The picnic shelters are by reservation, however, the are all off limits due to covid19. All the shelters are wrapped with yellow "Do Not Cross" tape. No fireworks and no alcoholic beverages are permitted in the park.

Wow, what a great park for young kids! Took my 1 and 3 year old with a friend and their kids. Stayed for about 2.5 hours and stayed busy the whole time. Exploring the cool trees, riding bikes around the parking lot loop, playing on the playground, and throwing frisbee in the fields. Will definitely add to the list of great places to go.

Love everything about this park. Been going since I was a baby. Used to camp back when they had a swimming area. Gators took the lake over. Beautiful park with lots of different wildlife. Love just going here to walk. Get outside and see this park!

Was there for this past week. Enjoyed the peaceful relaxation. Camp grounds were very well kept an clean. Restroom and showers in a very good location for the whole section of your camping area. Everyone very friendly and staff very friendly and helpful as well. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a short weekend camping trip or a 14 day get away.

Wonderful area for families to look at Florida's wonderful nature! We checked off almost everything here (except camping), and I couldn't find any problems with the place! The trees are wonderful to look at and take wonderful pictures. I recommend this place as an area to enjoy the true nature of florida.

One of my favorite parks because of the hills to run around on and the trees and roots to climb on. Entrance is $2 per car. There is also a campground and a reservoir you can launch small boats into.

It was cool. Very large place and lots of trails and lots of hills with tree roots all over. The kids love it! And we saw very large alligators, turtles and birds. The boardwalk is broke and I don't think they have intentions of fixing it so we could not go to the lookout tower.

This is a great Park and it's worth the trip. There are plenty of outdoor activities such as biking, canoeing, bbq, kids playgrounds, and many other outdoor activities. The parking for a single car cost just $2. I think the most unique thing about this park or the trails with the unique trees.

This county park is AWESOME! Wide open, very clean, WELL MAINTAINED, and plenty of activities: canoe rentals, walking trails, plenty of pavilions, lake with three boat launch lanes with 4 NICE floating docks, 40-ish camping sites, and THE BESTEST is the trails (mountains) through the trees that you can walk or mountain bike through. When I say through the trees, you literally can walk/climb through the roots of these GINORMOUS trees where the rain has washed all the dirt out from under them.

We wanted to camp and kayak for 2 days. We arrived and were told to go pick our campsite. The campsites ate right on top of each other and it looks like they allow homeless people to camp there permanently. We chose a site that seemed the most secluded. Shortly after pitching our tent, a man wandered onto our campsite. He was obviously high on something and was trying to sell us propane heaters and stoves for camping. Later we could hear a couple from a site not far away screaming and cursing at each other. Not relaxing or our idea of camping. We ended up leaving the next morning after a sleepless night due to the noise. The lake is beautiful and great for kayaking but we do not recommend camping there if you enjoy primitive camping. Too many RVs and homeless people living there!

Our kids have enjoyed this park their whole lives. When they were little, I took them to the tree park weekly and they loved playing. Now they are 13 16 18 and they still love to go here. I have had great memories of my own childhood at this park. Many family moments that will never leave my heart ❀️ my sons actually decided to have dates here with their girlfriends, and the girls loved it. The boy did a picnic and then went on the trail and climbed in the trees. I dont think our family will ever outgrow this place as it has become part of our family ritual.

We enjoy having family birthday parties here. There is plenty of room and open fields to play kickball or any other game. The shelters & playground are all near the restroom. The playground is shaded by trees. There is a fun trail to walk with plenty of nature & tree roots.

This is one of my favorite places to camp and fish. My first time camping was here with my husband and though it was a bit scary at first cause of the glowing lil eyes I had a fun time. Today I sit here with my husband and our son. He loves it and has had a blast. Seen different animals such as two large red headed woodpeckers and a tortoise. Gators are a given and abundant. Very family friendly park in general.

This is a really big part with RV hookup and tent camping. It's had plenty of covered pavilions to picnic, a nice fishing boardwalk and plenty of outdoor activities to do here. There are hiking trails and canoe and kayaking opportunities.

A fun course to play, particularly on the front 9. The back 9 is very challenging with a few holes playing around marshes. Unfortunately the back 9 is not being kept up any longer. 1 tee pad is completely missing and 1 was overgrown with bushes and weeds.
