Great campground with many things to do. Awesome trails for hiking and riding your bike. They also have a pool but it is currently closed due to Covid19. The camping sites are nice and separated but some do flood with heavy rain.

Did the Timberline Glamping at the campground. Highly recommend, especially for novice campers. Everything is provided and even includes air conditioning and a refrigerator in your tent. Never had an air conditioned tent before. Beautiful Park and beautiful days to camp. Did some kayaking on the River rapids too and had a blast. You definitely need to check this

Pet friendly and large campsites by the river. Lots of shade, to consider when wanting to get sun on the solar panels. Camp site is sandy, not paved. Women’s bathroom was clean but men’s was not. Pool and cafe was closed. Spotted a few alligators in the river, by the canoe launch inside camp area. Canoes, kayaks and bikes available for rent. You can bring your own and launch it for free if you have a paid camp site, otherwise there is a fee.

Great park. Stayed in Old Prairie campground. Not much room between sites, although sites are fairly roomy. Lots of trees, so good shade, but tall rigs need to watch overhead. Bathhouse extremely clean & well-provisioned. Would have preferred a separate, private dressing area instead of a common one for the 2 shower stalls, but since OP is a relatively small campground, I was the only one using the shower both times I used it.

Once again the registration line gave us to small site. We came in just before 5 pm. No one at gate. Called after hours, ranger was very nice. We get to site and it is very short ( our rig is 36 feet). Called again, she gave us several options, then came down to be sure we were fine with site. We had wanted 14 days, the registration phone number said no sites available. Trip to ranger station got it set up. Pool and store are closed here. So hiking and kayaking are it. But park is quite for most part. Staff here is friendly. Sites are pretty open, you will see lots of neighbors. Several trails appear closed or portions of them. But i have found lots of areas to walk. Be prepared for friendly Skeeter population. There are wide bicycle lanes throughout the park. Several play areas for children.

Merry Christmas! Stayed here for a week with family. Was nice. Enjoyed canoe, Kayak, biking, hiking, grilling, horseshoes, hammocking. Saw the Jupiter/Saturn event. Adequate facilities, should be updated. Unfortunate droning generator near sites running every 30 minutes. Hammocks only on trees in one's site.. Huge pool. Great trails near river. Very peaceful. Near full capacity. Great memories..

Expansive park tucked back in the woods, along the river, off US301. Nice park but dated. The massive pool closed until 2024. One bridge closed indefinitely. Store closed.

The campsites near the river provide easy access to the trail system. The trails are well marked and maintained. The bathrooms are clean. Some sites are a bit too close together for my liking, mostly the inner loop sites. The campground road needs to be graded. But this is a very nice campground if you like to kayak or hike. Lots of fish in the river! Great stay.

Nice campground, but no pool so be aware. Kayaking the river was beautiful 😍 But to be completely honest, there could be better upkeep, but I understand it's a state park, and it is was it is, but overall nice stay.

My family has come here at least 10 times this year, we have enjoyed it up until this morning. My mom (72 years old) washes dishes at the site, very nicely, organized and in tubs. Was told this morning she is not allowed to do that by a ranger, she has to walk all of the dishes to the bathroom to wash them. That is not right, she is a nice elderly woman. No one has ever said anything like that here or any other State Park in Florida and we go camping almost every weekend. There is NO posting or signs anywhere saying you cannot wash your dishes at your own camp site.

Nice quiet campground we rent campers there very often. Electric and water available NO sewer hook ups. Better signage and tree trimming would be appreciated. If you miss the one exit sign you have to drive thru entire park again. The new fencing can make it harder to maneuver.

👍👍 Found a group on while searching for kayaking deals and found this gem down the road from me. What a peaceful and tranquil ride down the river. We left at 9 am. and took our time to navigate through this waterway (and since this was my first kayaking experience). The current takes you gently down...
