Some of the most natural views of the real Florida are hidden in this park. The hiking paths and trails are very well marked and very easy to walk on minus the occasional tree roots. Great for dogs, kids or beginner hikers. There is a nicely maintained wooden boardwalk that runs along the river that is mostly shaded and provides great views the lush green landscape. There are alligators here frequently so beware with dogs by the river. The covered shelters are great for parties and it's $2 to park here, as the machine does take credit cards. This parking/hiking area does connect to the larger bike trails if you are wanting to bike from here. Definitely recommend some bug spray depending on the time of day you are walking in the woods here as the swampy areas will have mosquitoes all the time.

$2 to park your car. Display it on your dashboard driver side. Multiple trails, lots of signs. FYI, there are several poison ivy plants along the trail so keep little hands from wandering. Telltale sign of poison ivy is the three leaves in a cluster together. Otherwise, absolutely beautiful. We saw 2 alligators in the water but we were safe. There were turtles and birds and we got to see a caterpillar go in to it's cocoon. Would definitely go back! Did not see a restroom.

Nice park. Some portion of the park is very well maintained. Sufficient parking available. Restrooms and picnic shelters available. There is also a short boardwalk along the river where people do fishing. The view around the river was amazing with reflection of the trees and some fall color display. There was also another nature trail from shelter 2 that takes one into the forest. Another trail named Bayshore is located on the other side of power line and the trail takes one around a beautiful lake. We also saw a few armadillos in the park. Biking is also allowed in this park. Overall a nice place to spend a few hours.

Amazing and beautiful park with different trails which included broad walk trail and trail around the river with beautiful views. Along with hiking there are different options for biking as well. The parking fees for the park is 2$. There is ample of parking space in the park. The hiking paths and trails are marked with all the information. I visited on Saturday morning and it was almost empty. We enjoyed exploring the fishing docks, nature trail and the bayshore trail.

Why do I like it here? Well..... The fact you can hike, bike, kayak/canoe. You can sit, eat, chill, right next to the river. The park, to the north, connects to Flatwoods Park. Dope! To the south, it connects to Wilderness Park Mountain Bike Trail.(which itself connects to another park to it's east😍😍😍) Also dope!! The biking is awesome. Not super challenging, but a few trails go a lot of miles, like a lot.... so that's great! I've been to this this park more than 50 times in the last couple years. I will continue to do so!!

If you’re looking for a low key, but fun place to mountain bike this trail system is the ticket. Lots of wildlife to be seen every time I go. $2 parking pass required.

We visited on a weekday morning and it was almost empty. What a beautiful place to enjoy nature so close to the hustle and bustle of the city. We enjoyed exploring the fishing docks, nature trail, and the Bayshore Trail. At the end we were exhausted but so happy! We look forward to visiting more of the parks along the Hillsborough River.

This park had a great launch for our Kayaks & we were able to pull right up to the launch to unload .. I feel like we can never go wrong when it comes to the Hillsborough River🚣 They had a few very well kept picnic areas and the bathrooms were very clean it only cost us $2 to park ( lots of parking ). We highly recommend this park especially to our fellow paddlersπŸ‘

Love, love, love this park. So many trails, canoeing, plenty of places to picnic. During rainy season the trails do get flooded just wear some boots. Connects to other parks so you can walk or bike ride an easy 15 miles or more if you want.

Great park with hiking/mountain biking trails, a fishing boardwalk, restrooms, and a canoe launch ramp. No playgrounds here. But there are small pavilions to rent. I did not have luck fishing but enjoyed the morning - will be back!

Who doesn't enjoy being one with nature. This park is fantastic for running, biking, hiking, kayaking, and just getting away from the urban chaos we all deal with day to day. We could all use some more time on the Trails, so strap on your shoes or get on your bike and have some fun.

Great park for hiking or trail bike riding. I road my trail bike yesterday at Trout Creek Park for the second time. It's a beautiful park and all of the people that I have met there have been super nice. After peddling into the park about 200 yards, I encountered two different packs of deer. It was a beautiful sight and a gorgeous way to start a Sunday. I highly recommend this park!

We paddled down river from Morris Bridge Park to Trout Creek Park. This park is a great place to pull out. They have a kayak launch that lets you get in your kayak on a dock and slide into the water on rollers in a track. We came out of the river using the roller and track system. It was wonderful. At other parks you hope there is a bit of slightly sloped sand at the waters edge so you can get out of the kayak without being at a steep angle. Sometimes you find a good spot and sometimes not. The boat launch area was for canoes and kayaks only. No boats on trailers. They had a nice place to clean the kayaks too. The horizontal beams were padded and were wide enough to hold three kayaks. A hose was right there.

Nice park on the Hillsborough River. One eccentricity is that the boat/kayak launch is in a separate parking area from the payment machine.

If you have a regular bike and a small dog I would not go here. No bikes or pets on the boardwalk, and the off road trail is too close to the water with alligators for small dogs and not ridable with a regular bike. I had to find another park in my case. I didn't get to see anything else but it looks nice.

This is such a cool little spot. It costs $2 for the day. Theres a boat ramp, nature trail, bunches of biking paths, and is pretty empty. We love the nature trail, and my dog goes crazy with all the little lizards darting here and there.

May not be the most challenging ride but great cardio and relaxed when needed.. No jumps or drops.. Just fast XC style riding. Been going here for 10+ years with zero issues!

Remember to study map before venturing on a trail! We wandered for nearly 2 hours. Native trails were nice, but need more signage or maps inside the park.

Quite, and wild boar live in the park, but they wont let you approach them and have young ones

Beautiful park! Would have given 5 stars except sadly we (my family and two large dogs on leashes) were almost run over within the park by a PARK RANGER! Driving like 40mph IN the park. We literally had to jump out of the way, and for that we will never return! Hopefully this makes a difference!

I have visited a couple time with great photo ops of the cypress trees and cool fall / winter colors. Tried to hike a few trails but they all seem to be blocked off with caution tape.

Great Park for beginners and intermediate level bikers. Trails are popular with hikers and runners as well, so you must watch out when riding. Technical trails are more root and sand than drops and valleys like our sister parks Alafia and Boyette. Still, you can create loops for plenty of miles and see lots of wildlife.

It's a really nice park for canoeing, kayaking or hiking. I prefer Flatwoods for longboarding, but when I'm hiking this place is awesome. Definitely make sure to take the time to familiarize yourself with the signage about venomous snakes, I've run into a few out on the trails and if you're not careful you could end up bitten! They really are out there, so while its beautiful, please stay safe and watch out for the snakes!
