Wanted to give it no stars but the lady at the front desk and Jen the breakfast lady rock. The bathroom in my room was dirty. Glad I brought my own lysol. Please hire housekeepers who actually know what clean is. Thanks. $143.00 a night & we could hear the highway traffic all night. The lobby is attractive as are the grounds. The tub faucet ran all night, tub was dirty & had debris in it, sink & faucet dirty, hairballs on the floor under the sink. I don't like writing negative reviews or dirty bathrooms.

When I walked in to the checkin counter the first thing I noticed was a fresh smell like essential oils. The rooms we nice and clean. Iโ€™m Very picky choosing hotels and I would stay here again. The breakfast was the only thing not up to par, we had to wait over 10 mins because when we came to eat at 8am there was no eggs or bacon. We had to tell the lady it was empty before they started cooking more. The eggs were not cooked all the way, ended up just going out for breakfast.

I made reservations several days in advance. I drove several hours and arrived around 4:30pm, well after check in time. We received keys to our two rooms only to find out that housekeeping was still cleaning them. We went down stairs to get get different rooms. There were no other rooms ready. We were in town for a funeral, and this only added to our stress. The front desk lobby area looks nice in the photos, but in reality, there was ceiling and wall damage. The hotel isn't very well maintained. After waiting for over 30 minutes with no resolution, we canceled our reservation and went somewhere else. As an IHG platinum elite member, I would rather stay in a non-IHG hotel than come back to this place.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND this hotel! We had to be in temporary housing (hotel) for 5 WEEKS for my husbandโ€™s work! So happy this was one of the places that we were given as an option! The hotel is quiet. In the whole time we stayed I NEVER ONCE heard others in the hallways, next door and/or above us! The hotel is clearly a quality built place! The rooms & lobby are clean & very homelike. The best part about the Holiday Inn Plant City is the STAFF! Charles the owner, Aaron, Edward & Brenda at the front desk, Ernie in Maintenance, Victoria in housekeeping and SWEET Miss Ann in food service - are helpful, honest, cheerful, supportive and friendly. They have outstanding attention to detail. They consistently met & exceeded our expectations and exhibited exceptional customer service! Truly the only knock I would say is the workout area is very small, the equipment is older and there is no cleaning supplies to wipe equipment down after working out. The location is right off Interstate 4 with multiple restaurants near by.

Their elevator was broken for a solid week... They had me on the 4th floor going up and down stairs for that week until I informed them that I was going to check out if the elevator wasn't fixed in the next couple of days... They moved me to the second floor which I agreed I would be ok with. The elevator finally got fixed days later but is still Super Slow! Then a couple of days later the manager asks me if I'm smoking cigarettes and or pot in my room! I do smoke cigarettes But I've Never smoked inside the building!... I don't smoke pot or use drugs of Any kind and was offended that he even suggested that I did! I would Never Stay Here Again!... One of the Worst hotels I've ever stayed in! Oh yeah... There was a cockroach in the microwave that I didn't even complain to them about, but should have. Sincerely, Paul

The staff was extremely nice and helpful!!!!! The food was good, except for those sausages. My room was okay, it's just that it was surface clean. The corners were full of dust and so many things could have been done to make it better. They had a baseball tournament in the area and the kids were running up and down the hallway. Jani-King is the cleaning company for the hotel and it needs work. Also all of the electric sockets are really loose.

Bad experience. I booked a room for 3 days for a business trip months prior to the trip. Paid in full and received a confirmation number. I drove 3 hrs to the hotel only to be told they couldn't find my reservation even though I provided the email and confirmation number to the front desk lady Celeste. She told me there were no rooms available even though I paid in full. I was refused a room and spent an hour calling over 10 hotels and booked 3 different hotels for my weekend stay. They made this trip horrible and Celeste would not even call corporate for me to try and accommodate. She just handed me the number. Don't waste your time booking here or any holiday inn.

The front desk personnel are 100% on their game. Celeste is very accommodating, especially when youโ€™re leaving the disgusting Quality Inn next door. Sturdy bed and comfy pillows. I gave four stars because the bathroom floors couldโ€™ve been cleaner.

We had a great experience here. The staff was very friendly and easy to deal with. The room was very clean and well stocked with toiletries. There was a nice selection for Breakfast. This will be our new spot to stay each visit from here on out.

Place was very nice, good, free breakfast except the coffee during breakfast was more like water. (Note to staff: double the amount of coffee grinds when making a pot of coffee.) Too pricey for the accommodations.

This was one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It was super clean. The staff went over and above several times did us. Ms Ann was wonderful and our housekeeper Ana was wonderful.

Front desk staff were friendly and pleasant overall. The bathrooms weren't cleaned any day we stayed (3 nights) all housekeeping did was restock the bathrooms with 3 washcloths and 4 Some what clean towels ( room occupancy 6). The soap dispensers were never filled during our stay and when I called the front desk for soap I was given face wash. The young lady who stocked breakfast was missing the first day and when she was found she half stocked the items and moved extremely slow. This place is in desperate need for remodeling. The elevator made scary noises and when asked it was turned into a joke ๐Ÿ˜ณ by the front desk staff.

This hotel is definitely a good place to stay. The staff were all very friendly. The breakfast offered plenty of options and the staff kept all the food fresh and warm the entire time. The hotel is definitely dated, but they do their best to keep everything clean.

Very clean and well maintained. The staff are b Very personable. The day and night manners were two of the best I've had the pleasure of interacting with (Aaron - day and Brenda - night). These are two valuable employees i hope the company acknowledges and is treating right. My room was perfect from towels to cleanliness. The lobby and elevators were clean and the atmosphere was very pleasant.

Clean!๐Ÿ‘, quiet, friendly staff. Decent breakfast .good coffee. Easy check in . Easy check out. The TVs didnโ€™t work in our room we stayed 5 days so that sucked and No Wi-Fi in our room . But other then that it was pretty nice.

Very old place. The smell of Clorine was awful. Elevator was stuck constantly and their setup for my handicap bath caused me fear of falling as all the water went on bathroom floor. Needs improvements

Had a great time with my Parents who came down from NC for a visit. We had the pool to ourselves for 3-4 hrs. Played keep away, and other family pool games.

Spent two nights at this hotel last week and unfortunately would not return to this location. This is a heavily trafficked place that needs more attention than it is being given. The staff members we came in contact with were OK to say the least, not very friendly but there to do the job. We called front desk on our second night to ask about the pool closing time because the sign says "dawn to dusk" and that could be a range. The woman says 8 PM, even though dusk says 8:50 but then tells us she wasn't going to make it down to lock it up until at least 8:30? Little details just weren't maintained properly here, black grout lines, rusty bathroom light fixture, and torn up sofa armrests covered with mismatched arm covers. Thankfully this was just an IHG reward night, would have hated to have spent a bunch of money on this place.

The ladies at the front desk were very nice and friendly. Everytime I came back they welcomed me back which was so surprising as in our current state of things. People today don't care about one another and they surely don't greet you everytime you come back into the hotel from leaving.

Slept on a futon with 5 other people in the room, my annoying sister kept screaming up until 4 AM, awesome breakfast food. Saved us from sleeping in our car. Very good

BEWARE OF YOUR CHARGES TO YOUR BANK ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I drove from Connecticut to stay here with my friend and 2 kids. Paid for 2 nights and it was fine. I got charged the correct amount. Yesterday morning I wanted to stay another night so I went to the front desk, spoke with the gentleman there, and was told it would be $264 for another night. I signed the paper receipt for $264. He pointed out that this is what I would be charged so I agreed and signed the paper. I checked my bank account and noticed I was charged $299 with a refund of $34, which would bring the charge to $264. Fine. I go to check out this morning to drive alllll the way back to CT and the young lady at the front desk told me she didn't have me in her system. Told her that was strange bc I checked in for another night last night. She then called her manager BRENDA on the phone.....Boy that was the worst thing to do!! Apparently Brenda cancelled my visit thinking it was a duplicate charge, why I have no idea bc the first 2 nights were a totally different rate. The young lady said there wasn't a charge on her end. Saying I should be seeing a refund. i asked the young lady how much I was being charged and she point to the receipt and said $264. I said ok great. I didn't have time to wait for the manager as I had to get on the road. As I was driving I go to check my bank account and I got ANOTHER charge for $299!!!! At this time my bank account showed two charges for $299 so something was really wrong, Mind you I was also charged a $100 deposit that I won't see for 7-10 business days, Which then leaves my bank account with $80 to make it to CT with!!!! I call Brenda which was no help at all!!! She claimed the charge was suppose to be for $299 bc of tax but I NEVER SIGNED A RECEIPT FOR $299. She claimed I was refund the first amount but I clearly did not from my bank account. After have a heated discussion with Brenda I then called my bank to see if this was refunded. My bank rep said no there is no refund at the moment but If there is then you won't receive it for 7-10 business days!!!! OH HOW WONDERFUL!!!! At this point I called Brenda back and thanked her for screwing up my reservation and I will definitely be going to corporate management for this!! Brenda apologized and then tried blaming my bank!!! I would NOT RECOMMENDED STAYING HERE WITH SUCH CARELESS MANAGEMENT!!! As for the rooms, the bathrooms could use updating, the carpets could use some cleaning but everything was ok in the room. I gave one star bc breakfast was great and the staff members are nice and probably better workers then Brenda!!! I will make another review in 7-10 business days to let you know if I received my $399!!

Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We were able to get a slightly earlier check in and check out which helped us out immensely. Very clean. Outdoor courtyard and pool were well kept.

I really liked the area outside the pool with corn hole game. The front desk said the cleaning staff is outsourced which I'm not sure is working well for them. I'm glad we were on the first floor since I had to go to the front desk several times to get things the maid forgot to leave. On one of the days, the towels left were half dryed. They were folded and on the rack but wet. If I came back to the area, I'd probably look around to see what other choices there are. Desk staff was friendly.

$160 per night & wasn't worth it. I will say, right off the bat, the desk staff and woman who worked the continental breakfast area were exceptional! The lobby was nicely decorated and very welcoming. Did not visit swimming pool area. Close to the highway. The guest rooms are in great need of renovation. The chair in my room was stained on both the seat cushion and the back rest, near the top. The furniture had been dusted, which is good, but the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned since its installation. The carpeting near the baseboards has not been vacuumed in months. A layer of white dust was visible at least 2" from the wall trim. Chipped and scuffed paint. The continuous, overwhelming odor of well water was nauseating. My brother, who stayed in a different room than I (at the same location), and has worked in hospitality for over 30 years as director of engineering, stated he would be fired if rooms in his building were in the same shape as ours. He stated if we were paying $80.00 per night, he might expect the rooms to be in the condition they were. If I visit Tampa again, I'll be sure to book at the Hampton down the street.
