This is a hard one to review. Keep in mind, we went solely with the purpose to swim in the spring. We are big nature buffs so we love going to the beach or swimming in natural pools. The water and the sand here are absolutely lovely. Certain areas of the spring have some algae, but it's minimal and to be expected. But other areas are gorgeously crystal clear with turquoise water. The downfall here was with the unnecessary construction around the spring, which I can only gather was built to keep out guests who hadn't paid to swim. The entire spring is surrounded by a concrete wall, and then outside of that is a chain link fence. This drastically hurts the aesthetic of swimming in a natural spring. Instead of swimming in this gorgeous pool and seeing trees and nature all around you, you see concrete walls and fences. These borders also limit the amount of space for guests to set up their own areas to sit and sunbathe, so many guests end up being in close quarters and walking over each other just to get by. Long story short, it's a lovely spring that has been tarnished by human hands.

I prefer springs that are more natural looking. I’m not a fan of the way it looks, but it’s still pretty nice. There was a lot of fish poop floating, so I guess that’s natural 😅 It was low from what we heard people saying, perfect for kids. The deepness changes through out. Unfortunately you can’t go out to where it looks like a river, but I bet you it’s perfect back there 😭 There was fish everywhere. By the grate you could even shuffle up some flounder 🐠 Great prices. $2 per person to swim, and $2 to get in the park. Will definitely go back. (Mainly because it’s the closest spring to our location.) Enjoy some pics!

This spring is a great beginner spring for those new to snorkeling. Water was nice and clear also fish were beautiful. Great place to bring family because not many deep spots Only thing was bathrooms were a good walk away from spring and no showers were available when we went. All in all still a nice place to come and relax and enjoy cool water.

This spring was the highlight of our trip to Tampa. Cons: The spring is surrounded by an ugly wall and chain link fence and there is a periodic odor that is rather unpleasant. Of course there are folks who don’t think the rules put into place to protect the spring apply to them, but that’s the case anywhere. The beach areas are steep and small. I’m sure it gets crazy on weekends and holidays! Pros: We paid ten bucks for a full day of swimming. We went on a Tuesday and a Thursday and it was never busy. The spring is cool, clear and refreshing. There are three areas marked off so no one accidentally wanders into the deeper side. We have been to many springs and although this one may not be perfect for some, it was perfect for us. When given the option of going back to the beach or back to the spring, the vote was unanimous! The locals are fortunate to have such an affordable spring so close.

Hiked around all the trails for about 3.5 hrs. The trails are marked and very wide, making it easy to follow. Didn't see any wildlife but some sign. Saw what I think was Gopher Tortoise burrows and spots it seems wild hogs tore up the ground. All and all not a bad hike. Go check it out for yourself!

Super cheap and a total vibe from this album yankee. So I am not a very outdoorsy person or a Florida man, so all of the high grass and forest has me alittle nervous due to all the snakes and gators. This place isn’t bad no snakes seen and a lovely spring. The water is a perfect temperature qhen it’s hot and humid. Very refreshing lots of fish and catfish sleeping on the bottom. The staff is incredible very friendly and professional they keep it safe for all. Did not expect a changing area

What a beautiful facility. It's first come, first served for camping spaces but if you call, the staff will give you an idea of the possibility to get a spot. I got the heads up about a spot on the river I might get if I arrived early enough. I was stuck in traffic in Ocala & ended up getting a room that night as I wouldn't make it to Lithia Springs in time. I got up early, got to the park by 3:00AM and at 8:00AM scored that spot on the river. Great staff & nice camping spots with good restroom & showers.

$2 up to 8 people then $2 per person to swim?!! Felt like a steal- Nice clean playground. Swim area was gorgeous! It's the perfect depth for everyone of all ages. They are strict with the rules of nothing to eat, drink, or music in the swim area. Super cheap and nice of exploring as well. The 2 swim blocks are the perfect idea. The restrooms are a little bit of a walk from spring. We will certainly be back.

This place is so much fun. It costs $2 to go in but there is a playground, restrooms, a fun hike. The bridge is my kids' favorite part. A little creek runs through it and they can play there for hours.

We didn’t stay long, but I wish we had. It’s a wonderful park, and all those annoying things I think about are the things not allowed, so it was a great fit. Clean, pleasant, and nice staff.

I found a HUGE TORTOISE ON THE ROAD! I called and the staff were AWESOME! Gave me directions on how to get to them patiently. I was concerned about the environment that was available. I got to ride along for the release and it was great! Rangers were very knowledgable and kept me safe and answered all my questions. Very clean and well kept reserve. Wildlife was AWESOME and very present. Great experience!

Beautiful and peaceful place to kayak or canoe. There are some area with strong current so there's enough challenge but most of the river is relaxing. We saw turtles and fish but it seems to shallow to have to worry much about gators.

The water of the spring is beautiful. So clear. Is cold 😅. But is an amazing place. Have to go early. You can enter to the park and have space for parking. But there is 2 sections to be in the spring. That helps that the spring is not to crowded. Is a beautiful place.

Nice, quaint family style park. Guard at entry , we paid a $2.00 fee. The main spring area is nice, it is enclosed from the rest of the park by fence. Definitely a nice place to bring the kids during summer break and it's a nice little secret garden right in our own backyard in Lithia.

Growing up we used to go to Lithia Springs with the parks and rec during the summer time and also we continue to go as adults and I have not been there in over 30 years and so we decided to go to celebrate Father's day early for my son and my nephew the park is still beautiful the water is still cold as ever the only difference is you can only choose to swim in the morning or the afternoon which we did not know about that in advance even with looking on the website I could have missed it but we're not aware so that kind of spoiled the trip we got the morning swim just because it was a weather alert but the weather ended up being beautiful so we could not swim in the afternoon which was the bomber so we left the park early around 4:00 but other than that it was great we did some fishing we ate good food and enjoyed each other's company and I recommend Lithia Springs to everyone
