Saw the reenactment, really cool to see the muskets and cannon fire at night. Very detailed and the reenactors put a ton into it. If you're interested in history you should go.

Great historical site. It's a small area but it's very informative. I learned that it was built on the grounds of the original fort but it is a reproduction based on the specifications available. They have only one reenactment a year. So if you wanna see that, plan in advance. Here are photos attached from said event.

I've been to Hillsborough River State Park many times, and never knew this fort was part of the park. I always go down to the pool area and launch my kayak or camp in the campground. You have to go to the first parking lot foe the fort info and tram tours. Awesome fort! Get in one one of the cool reenactments if you can!

First visit to this lost relic. Very limited access to the public, chrck their calendar foe days & times. The volunteer staff and ranger had some very interesting history about the Seminole indians and US that I never knew. Make sure you take the short hike to see bridge timbers from the original bridge. Muat come back to see the reenactments in December & February.

Hidden gem of Tampa. Fully functioning authentic recreation of historic Fort Foster. Complete with battle reenactments and special events like dinner under the stars. Great place to learn about Tampa's history and take in some beautiful nature as well. Check the website for tour days and hours.
