Tourist attraction Park

👍👍 Went for the walking trail. It was a great paved path. 1.8 miles took us around 2 hours with a 20month old who likes to walk on his own. Stopped for a snack lunch we brought at the canoe launch. There's also an elevated boardwalk which was beautifully surrounded by the river and nature. People often mention park, trail, great, walk, nice, canoe, river, trails, launch, boardwalk,

On Oct.23, 2019 very dissaponted because after paying our parking fee, we discover the River is closed due to high water. Understandable that it would be dangerous to be on the River when it was moving very swiftly and lits of trees and branches blocking parts of the water. Staff should have posted a note on pay station about it. We decided to go to the other side of the park off 39 and had a nice round trip walk to the canoe input and back. There are two entrances to Alderman's Ford. West of County Road 39 is the canoe launch site, where we go. $2 parking fee. Closes at sunset. It is a small park with a few picnic tables and parking for those people who go down the river. CLOSED on Christmas. Darn! Found out a couple years ago when the gate was locked. There is a nice trail that connects to the park on the East side of 39 via a bridge across the river. The river is beautiful, quiet, unspoiled until you reach the bridge at Lithia Pinecrest Road. Then there are a few houses, some "interesting" mobile homes, and finally Lithia Springs County park where we end our trip.

One of the best parks in Central Florida. A hidden gem. Plenty of trails, great scenery & wildlife, and a nice, big traditional park where you can have a picnic or BBQ. The highlight is the boardwalk area, which takes you deep into a Florida jungle. November 2022 visit: Hurricane Ian gave the park a real beating, but the crew has already cleared a lot of the debris. Unfortunately, some damage was done to the boardwalk—but most of it is still accessible.

As South Africans, we have had our very fair share of the outdoors. Wildlife, mountains, rivers, streams and forests are a way of life in Africa. This being said, we honestly found the natural beauty, the amenities, the cleanliness and the fantastic (safe) trails to be one of our best experiences in the US! Well done to all who help make it as wonderful as it is!

Dogs Allowed. $2 per vehicle to enter. Huge pavilion area with playground and bathrooms. Beautiful paved trail, take you about an hour to walk it. Couple little dirt trails in back. One leads to River which was nice cool down for the dogs.

The nature trail is beautiful and we really love launching our kayaks here and paddling all the way to Lithia Springs State Park. We absolutely love coming up here. I believe it might be the closest cleanest Spring near me and it’s not far from home.

Went to Alderman Fords canoe launch but have been to park across street . Both are beautiful for bikes, canoeing and a great walking path. I believe 1.8 miles. River is low so shallow in a lot of places and more rapids to come back against. Water is Cristal clear.

This a great place to bring your family. Nice place to exercise, walk the dogs, have a bbq, or just get out and explore. There’s a nice set up of equipment around a trail with water views. There are also picnic tables and covered pavilions to entertain. I’m very thankful for the dog water bowls sponsored by the local girl scouts.

Had a great day paddling down the river. Slightly faster than normal, but made for fun paddle. Stopped at the lunch spot and sat in the river on the rocks and ate out lunch. A few tricky areas, but navigatable without getting out of your boat

Best park in the area. Plenty of green to get lost in. Love it here. So many trails...

We could not find the bain entrance and ended up at the canoe launch which was oretty space. We were surprised to note that there were rustic campsites located down the trail quite a distance from the car park and a remote restroom. I wish there had been a map displayed at the trail's beginning so we could have seen the layout. We thought we had gone astray at one point and the trail is not marked anywhere to let you know how far you have gone on the trail. A few more benches along the way would have been nice. Not everyone on a walk is a jogger or exerciser and when you are in your 70's and a casual walker a bench is a welcome site!

Park entrance fee is just $2 a carload...We love to come here and ride our bikes through the woods on the paved loop and trails. There are "workout stations" spaced along the loop that consist of "chin-up" bars... inclined "sit-up" benches, "step-up," bars, etc. Several awesome wooden bridges. There are modern restrooms, canoe launch, remote camping, baseball fields and more

We really enjoyed our morning walk at Alderman's Ford Park on the 1.8 mile loop. We were sad to see the condition of the Canoe Launch; it looks like it does not get regular use. NOTE: You can't walk all the way around d the .5 mile boardwalk because a tree fell on it. Hopefully, the country will be able to clear the tree and repair the boardwalk in the next few months.

Just a great place to rent a covered picnic area and have a nice gathering. Bring games, have friends bring chairs and their own coolers, bikes, etc and you are ready for a nice day in the park!

Beautiful park. I went for kayaking but I saw no rental place. I guess you have to bring your own, but for hiking, BBQ or any other family activities is great

I absolutely love this park there is a lot of shade lots of pavilions there are several different trails that are very long. You can skate, ride bikes, or even walk. They have a canoe launch and lots of boardwalks. And it's a very Historical Park. So glad to have this park in my backyard
