Simply beautiful. Quiet peaceful setting just off Lake Mirror in downtown Lakeland. A perfect place to unwind or take pictures. The plants and flowers are majestic and give off a calming vibe as you walk around. Not huge… but we’ll worth the visit. This place has so many photo opportunities and so much to take in … well worth the trip.

Very beautiful and peaceful. We went on a Sunday afternoon, the weather was great, lots of families all around, but it was not crowded. Beautiful setting right on the lake. Lots of grassy areas for relaxation. It is connected to Barnett Family Playground and Splash Pad, but the playful sounds from the park did not deter from the beauty of the gardens.

Went here and a lovely walk with some great views and plants. Followed this by walking round lake mirror and seeing the sculptures. Total about 1.5 miles but easy walking. Parking available for free

Beautiful little hidden gem of a garden. I attended a wedding on a Saturday early afternoon and it was absolutely perfect! The fountain was clean, and the garden was well kept. It overlooked the lake and was full of wildlife including a stunning male cardinal. Definitely would love to go back when it's cooler and just read a book surrounded by the views!

A small botanical garden with a grand view of the lake in the front. It’s seems like a popular place for people to take photos of weddings and other events in their lives. Best place also for TikTok. Parking is small but additional road side parking

A very nice, small, formal garden next to a lake and open lawn areas. A splash park for children is next door and the most amazing roses I have seen surrounding the "Magnolia Building "which is directly next to Hollis Gardens. I go often just to see the roses. There is a small cafe at the magnolia bldg. and there are many downtown eateries close by. Great garden for a short stroll. There is no fee to enter. Public bathrooms are next to the splash park and not well marked, so look for the two-story building beyond the play area / water park. The kids love the water features and fun looking playground equipment. The nice lawn going down to the lake where the town holds some events gives a good open feel. The garden has a variety of plants including many Tropicals and some vegetables. Each little area has its own theme, surrounded by boxwood hedging. A fountain runs down toward the lake from a large half circle pergola / pavilion. This area is highest point and the garden and gives you an overlook at the areas you can explore working your way down to the lake. There are several artworks in the gardens and on occasion we have gone into the Magnolia Bldg. for little art shows, etc. Drive or walk south to Morton Lake to see a great many waterfowl. Swans, black and white, etc.

Goodness, I can't say enough good things about this place. It was beautiful! We took a nice walk through the garden which had lots of little areas set up to take pictures, which a lot of people were doing. So it was a little hard getting pictures of the things we wanted to. Then a nice walk around the lake where we got to run into all kinds of interesting birds! Lots of empty snail shells, probably some birds lunches 🤣 & a few turtles! Inside the garden were tons of little lizard friends & butterflies! Wish I could go back every day!

Very peaceful setting with lovely flowers and shrubbery displayed in a garden from times past. Great place to stretch your legs and get some fresh air while enjoying some of Florida's many birds. There's also a playground on the grounds and public restrooms.

Lovely little place. Not too huge. There is technically a wheelchair accessible path but most of the grounds have stairs.

Quite frankly one of my fave places in Lakeland. An always wonderful hit of nature and calm in the middle of the city. The caretakers/gardeners are also super friendly and have no issues with answering questions about the garden, plants, or anything else you may want to know (within their purview of course). And if you ask they’re more than willing to give cuttings if possible (not always allowed for some). Anyway the whole place is beautiful. It’s well laid out, well structured, and a delightful place to visit.

Title: A Botanical Paradise in Lakeland! Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 stars) Review: Hollis Garden in Lakeland, FL is an absolute gem that will leave you enchanted with its natural beauty and tranquil ambiance. As a nature lover, I was thrilled to visit this exquisite botanical garden, and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped foot into Hollis Garden, I was captivated by its meticulously designed landscape. The garden is a symphony of colors, featuring a stunning array of vibrant flowers, lush greenery, and beautifully manicured lawns. Every corner seems to have been carefully crafted to offer a feast for the eyes. One of the highlights of my visit was strolling along the winding pathways that lead to hidden treasures within the garden. Every turn revealed a new breathtaking vista, whether it was the cascading waterfalls, the charming bridges, or the serene ponds adorned with water lilies. It felt like stepping into a fairytale land where nature and art seamlessly merge. The attention to detail in maintaining the garden is commendable. The staff takes great pride in their work, and it shows. The flowerbeds are immaculate, the sculptures are well-preserved, and the entire garden is kept clean and tidy. It's evident that the team behind Hollis Garden puts in a tremendous amount of effort to create an unforgettable experience for visitors. Apart from its visual appeal, Hollis Garden offers a sense of tranquility and serenity that is hard to find in today's busy world. Whether you're looking for a peaceful retreat to unwind or a picturesque spot for a picnic with your loved ones, this garden has it all. I found myself completely immersed in the calming atmosphere, feeling a true connection with nature.

Very attractively landscaped and maintained, Hollis Garden offers respite and refreshment from the stress of life. Set on a lake, individual gardens are grouped by color, yet form a cohesive whole. A definite tropical feel conveys a sense of beauty and perfection.

Hollis Garden is one of my favorite spots in Lakeland. We have done our Holiday photos here a couple years. So many great little spots for photos. They have classical music playing on speakers through the garden. Right now it is decorated for Fall and Halloween. My kids love walking through the garden after playing at Barnett Park, which is next door. The garden is closed on Mondays.

Wonderful small formal garden around Lake Mirror, which also has a wide promenade. Good place to go if you want to look at a garden full of colorful annuals organized into well thought out "rooms" of color. Really nice way to see natural and man-made beauty in the heart of downtown Lakeland.

Hey this place is amazing I only found few pieces of trash and minor vandalism. I actually liked this a little better than bok tower because it was less busy but this is hard to locate. I think you should definitely come here. Perfect place for wedding photos as I saw a couple do the same . It has some shade but not much. It feels like I'm in Italy a little bit which I really loved. I probably will come back. I liked it . Nice place to read to.

Amazing! Pleasant, beautiful garden, pieces of art, fountains and ambient sound. Mirror Lake makes the scenery of the tour even better. Close to downtown Lakeland, a little paradise to enjoy. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Very nice public garden on the southern end of Lake Mirror. Free to walk around, with a great variety of plants and flowers. Would be a good location for a portrait shoot. The Garden Bistro was next door was awesome for Sunday Brunch.

Beautiful garden. Definitely attracts butterflies! Take your time to explore every corner; this garden is filled with amazing details. Pair your visit with an extremely delicious and reasonably priced lunch with a lake view, next door at Garden Bistro (closed from July 21st through August 15th 2023) and walk along the lakeside early-twentieth-century Promenade. Lots of birds and turtles around!

Love this cute and beautiful little garden! Love that it is free to enter, and plenty of great spots to take pictures! It is so peaceful here. Definitely check it out the next time you're in downtown Lakeland.

Very nice well maintained garden. We loved seeing the multiple fountains, and enjoyed watching the birds give themself a little bath. My oldest son liked the art sculptures that were there. Also enjoyed the little pond with the koi. I think they would benefit from a bigger area to swim. My favorite part was the gardenia trees, they smelled so good when you walked by them. Would definitely recommend a stroll through the garden.
